Wonderful place to visit UNTIL THEY START PLAYING THE “music” poolside. This blaring noise permeates the entire complex and one cannot even use their balcony. The noise penetrates into the units even with the doors closed. Truly a huge negative for this place. I choose NOT to return because of this intrusion into my enjoyment of the ocean.
One day here and terrible experience so far. The resort seems nice but our check-in experience was a nightmare. Shortly after booking I called the resort and requested a crib and high chair. I was told sure no problem. At check in today, I asked again if the crib and high chair would be in the room and was told yes. When we get to the condo, no crib. No high chair. I call the front desk and was told they do not provide cribs OR high chairs! This was after being told twice by resort representatives the complete opposite. I was given the number for a rental company. At this point it was almost 5 pm. We had to go and buy what we needed as it was too late for the rental company to deliver anything. This has turned into a large unexpected expense. You would think a 4 star resort would atleast have high chairs available, and their employees would not lie to good paying customers about their existence (or lack thereof). If you are traveling with small children please be advised of these policies (even if they tell you otherwise).
We have stayed in the cottages at North Beach Plantation Resort for the last several years and we keep going back. Every other place is second to this resort! The cottages are roomy and clean, some with private pools, and very affordable for a large family!
We have stayed here in the Tower buildings. Indigo tower has a beautiful view of ocean looking toward Myrtle Beach, Jasmine tower has view of ocean front with pool area. There are multiple pools and hot tubs, splash area, lazy river. Not as crowded as Myrtle Beach, but still has many restaurants, mini golf, etc. very close to Barefoot Landing shopping and Alabama Theater. A little more expensive but worth it
Wonderful resort with many great amenities including a beautiful beach and optimum location. We stayed in Unit 1807 in the Towers. The unit was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and had the most amazing view of the Myrtle Beach coastline!
We booked a 4 bedroom condo in the oceanfront tower through VRBO last minute. I love the resort feel of this place with it's multiple pools, poolside entertainment, activities for kiddos, bar, etc. FYI bar drinks were pricey and no coolers are allowed by the pool. You can take them to the beach. Our condo was well equipped, clean and comfortable. I liked the proximity to barefoot landing...so close. We stayed the first week of June. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because had we stayed any other week the beach would be jam packed. The size of the beach is small for the amount of units that access it. I'd stay again for sure and just deal with the crowds. Reserve your umbrella early the day you arrive if crowds bug you. They triple stack rows of umbrellas so you'll want first row for sure.
North Beach Plantation has been our favorite location to stay for Thanksgiving for the past 5 years and quick weekend getaways. I love the property and the staff are super nice. So decide to get married at North Beach Plantation and have our cocktail/reception at the 21 Main Event Venue. The food is top notch and the drinks are amazing. Cassie in the Event Center is amazing and very knowledgeable. We stay at 4900 Salt Creek Court 5 bedroom 7 baths with elevator that was perfect for elderly family members (first stay). Normally we stay in the oceanfront towers. Love this location.
It was amazing. We got a great last minute deal. Everyone there was friendly and we had a gorgeous view of the pools and ocean. Despite the cooler weather the pools were heated outside and the indoor lazy river and hot tubs made up for it.
North Beach Plantation is absolutely phenomenal. The owners of 705 Madeira keep the unit in TIP TOP SHAPE!! The decor is GORGEOUS, and very homey. I will be back in August and will certainly request this unit! :)
I have never been so pleasantly surprised by a lodging situation. I expected it to be a decent place but I didn't expect it to be fantastic. I stayed an extra day just because I didn't want to leave. I can say with 100% certainty that i will be back. I've stayed at private vrbo rentals that weren't this nice. This isn't a hotel it's condos on a resort property. I hope prices stay affordable. Thank you for a much needed break from reality.
