Camelot by the Sea is an oceanfront resort conveniently located near area shopping, dining, live entertainment and golf. The resort amenities include a 60 ft oceanfront pool, 40 ft kiddie pool with mushroom water fountain, 90 ft heated indoor pool, 200 ft heated indoor lazy river and indoor & outdoor hot tubs.

Our condo is located on the 2nd floor of this beautiful resort. Our newly remodeled condo features an oceanfront master bedroom with King bed and private bathroom, a guest bedroom with 2 Queen beds, Queen sleeper sofa in the living room, washer/dryer in the unit, and a 24 ft long oceanfront balcony. We just remodeled the kitchen and added granite counter tops, under-mount sink, new faucet and shaker style cabinets with custom beach theme cabinet knobs. The beach style decor and colors makes our condo warm, fun and inviting. The resort has an attached parking garage allowing guests to park near the front door of the unit making it easy to load/unload the car and guests don't have to walk across the street making it very safe for families.

Myrtle Beach was voted 'Best Family Beach' by The Travel Channel. Great Central Location! You'll be close to all that Myrtle Beach has to offer including, 120 golf courses, over 1900 restaurants, live entertainment, fun shopping, water parks, and thrilling attractions. Camelot by the Sea is conveniently located 6 blocks from the new oceanfront Boardwalk, less than 5 miles from the airport and The Market Commons - a 114 acre urban village community with shopping (Tommy Bahama, The Orvis Company, Chico's), dining (PF Chang's, Gordon Biersch Brewery, Divine Prime and Travinia Italian Kitchen) and entertainment (Grande 14 Cinema). Camelot by the Sea is also less than 2 miles from Broadway at the Beach, a large outdoor shopping area that has dozens of great restaurants, IMAX Theater, mini-golf, children's amusement park, Ripley's Believe it Or Not Aquarium, Hard Rock Cafe, night clubs, piano bar, arcade and paddle boats. The Nascar Speedpark is located directly across the street from Broadway at the beach and features several go-cart tracks and an arcade. Next to the Speedpark is Myrtle Waves, South Carolina's largest water park with over 30 slides and attractions and 1.2 million gallons of water. So, you get a highly uncomfortable and broken bed, with sheets that wont stay on and stained... the couch was old and outdated and not comfortable. The outside door is hard to open and loud once you do. I was told we got ONE trash bag and ONE round of towels and a water bottle with a quarter inch of laundry detergent and the laundry area is NASTY and the rest is up to you to bring or go buy. Not cleaned to the standard that a VRBO should be.The bathtub would not hold water very long... The frint desk wont provide a key pr tell you which room is yours. Its a 10 digit code you have to type every time you want to go back to your room. The "INDOOR" pool area is not enclosed and they kept the doors open so it was cold inside of there instead of being decent and shutting the doors to outside, so that people could swim and not freeze... i do not recommend staying here, worst VRBO experience i have ever had.

We had many issues with the unit immediately upon our arrival- the front door to the unit has crooked and loose door handle made us question the safety of the unit. The area floor rugs were very dirty, the balcony is overdue for a good powerwash, the extra linens were stained and the dryer does not work. Calls/texts went unanswered. They claim to be owner operated but turns out to be operated by a property management company that is not invested in maintaining their property or gaining repeat visitors. We did not stay and stayed at a hotel down the street instead. Hopefully other families will read this review and avoid this property at all costs!

Myrtle Beach Family Vacation

It was myself and my 88 year old. I'm and we had a blast. The condo was amazing and super clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and the view was perfect. My mother is afraid of heights so this was perfect. One floor above the pool deck. I have many pictures of amazing sunrises and I couldn't have asked for anything more. The property manager was superb and handled anything we needed. I will definitely rebook this condo in the future.
