Staying here is all about the beautiful outdoor space and the truly wonderful views of the Aegean Sea and Naxos. It is a delight to dine overlooking the ocean or relax around one of the lovely pools. We stayed in a junior suite, which is more of a standard room size. Quite comfortable but not particularly spacious and the bathroom is fine, but small and far from anything luxurious. The terrace, again with fabulous views, has two loungers but was not as private as I might have expected it to be. There were 4 rooms adjacent to each other in our block and the terraces are separated largely by planters. You have a Nespresso machine in your room and the staff were kind enough to provide a kettle so I could enjoy a morning tea. The breakfast offers great choice and quality. We particularly enjoyed the delicious rice pudding. The service is friendly but could be more attentive. We were left waiting for food when they had clearly forgotten us. An acknowledgement would have been enough, but instead we received some nonsensical excuses. We only dined once for lunch and my chicken was cooked beautifully. Unless you like doing and seeing very little, you really need a car to explore the island and test out the many lovely tavernas. You can walk to Agios Ioannis in around 35 mins or Ornos (less pretty). Having a spa treatment is always on my holiday to do list and the treatments on offer here are lovely. It’s a shame it’s a bit overpriced or I would have used it more. I would expect to pay a premium for the location etc but it is still steep. I thoroughly enjoyed my chill out massage with shells. We spent a wonderful week here and will remember those views for many years to come. Thanks to all the staff for creating a truly memorable stay.
The hotel is a short transfer from the airport and on arrival the views are breath taking. We received a warm welcome and were shown around the very cool terraces. When we’re shown to our junior suit, again the views from our terrace were spectacular BUT we were both very surprised how small the room was.. just walking space around the bed. The bed just had a sheet and a dirty eiderdown over it. Bathroom was ok, no plug but nice toiletries. The waiting staff were very nice and helpful without exception and the breakfast was good. We didn’t find the management particularly engaged or helpful. We were leaving the hotel at 6.30pm but had to vacate our room at 12.00pm. They would not let us extend our room occupancy even though all flights to the Island had been diverted on that day. You will need a car at this hotel, it really is in the middle of nowhere. It’s a half hour walk to Ornos, but the walk is NOT a pleasant one. The roads are heavily littered with refuse sacks, old toilets... etc There are plenty of other better places on the island to stay. We wouldn’t recommend.
Lovely 18 room hotel, excellent service, friendly staff, location is calm but 10m from city center with scooter. Great place to come for a romantic holiday. They have a spa and restaurant, 2 beautiful swimming pools. Every room has a great bed, ambiance music, a/c and a powerful shower (I like that).
This is beautiful place, quiet, relaxing, and very accommodating. However the customer care that Evangelos and Christina provided was surpassing. They help us to make the best of our trip by being informative and sharing their knowledge of Mykonos. Their always pleasant demeanor was very welcoming we felt we were amongst friends!
A beautiful hotel with breathtaking views! Super friendly stuff and fantastic breakfast. Also great location if you’re looking to escape from the craziness of the town. Can’t imagine having a more relaxing time!
We were a party of 8 people having travelled to Mykonos to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday. We had initially booked a villa through Air B&B for 4 days - Villa Emerald in Kanali by Mykonos Pearls, which was nothing like it's representation on the site, had no electricity or hot water, and was generally grubby and entirely uninviting. Having finaly been released from the contract we arrived at Kanali at 10pm. The contrast could not have been more stark. We were greeted with warmth, friendliness, and generosity. We sat around and were served drinks and snacks in a poolside area with a delightful ambience- instantly the horrors of the day melted away. The hotel itself, formerly three separate villas, now turned into an 18 room hotel mixes style, and modern design with cosines, comfort, and space. Although the hotel was full we had so much soace to ourselves, the experience was like being in a big beautiful villa to ourselves, with service on tap. One enormous plus is the breakfast, which is served up until midday, and is both deicious and bountiful. The staff are all worth a mention, especially Nikolas, the hotel manager, who juggled things on our behalf to put us all together, and was excellent in his role- professional. friendly, accommodating, efficient etc. The entire team presented themselves as a happy, intimate group which translated into exceptional service to us as the clients. My sincere thanks to Joanna, Evangelos, Christiana, Trifonos, and Aristoula for making our stay so memorable. The hotel lies approx 10 mins car journey from Mykonos Town and only 5 mins from Ornos beach, it is in a quiet spot, so if you looking for real relaxation, to feel utterly spoiled, and for very good value I would highly recommend this hotel over any others I have seen on the island. I am not a big photographer, but check out the website for pics- they don't even do it justice in reality
We have never felt such peace and relaxation. We were able to be perfectly still for a few days. The staff was so accommodating, they became our friends. We can’t wait to return. The food and drinks were delish and made with care.
Just to give some context to this review... I have travelled the world and have visited beautiful destinations such as Hawaii, California, Paris, Italy, Egypt (to name a few) and have never written a review. However, our stay at Kirini warranted a glowing report. From the minute we arrived, we were impressed. A small, quaint, secluded hotel- out of the way. Check in was easy and quick, we were given welcome drinks and were then told by the manager that we were being upgraded! Our room was nothing short of beautiful. No one either side of us. The decor similar to a beach house I had stayed at in Santa Barbara, California. Clean, crisp, shabby chic decor with a Greek twist. Serene music filled the room. After a peaceful nights sleep (you could literally hear a pin drop) we were greeted by a view of the ocean from our bed! (Room 6) Breakfast was an absolute treat. Our view of the ocean, we had plenty of yummy food to select from. My personal choice would be the yoghurt with honey (out of this world), scrambled eggs, continental basket with pastries and bread, and fresh fruit (which was plenty to share with my fiancé) As there are 3 pools, we basically had a pool to ourselves the whole time, with free squash provided by the third pool- nice and refreshing during the midday sun. We ate lunch by the pool (again- brilliant food) Our room was always clean with fresh towels. We ate most evenings at the hotel restaurant, as cab journeys to and from the local town will cost you around 50 euros there and back, in around 20 minutes. This was a little too expensive for us. Cabs are also few and far between so give yourself ample time. The hotel restaurant- food again was brilliant. The sea bass and shrimp tagliatelle a particular favourite. Plenty of bread served so no need to have a starter. The staff here were always so lovely and friendly. Each and every one of them. A true credit to the hotel, no request too much. All in all, we had the most amazing time, and if we weren’t getting married in Hawaii next year... we would be getting married at Kirini. That’s how special it is! We hope to be back in the next couple of years. Sharney & Shaun
For sure, one of the best hotel experiences. The staff were incredibly friendly (not fake friendly) and attentive without being overbearing which can be the case sometimes. Our day started off with smiling and upbeat Kyriakos' breakfast service, the girls at the pool area, Cristina and Rosalia, were fantastic, so was the bartender Tryfonas, whose concoctions we enjoyed while watching the sunset from our private terrace. The front desk staff both day and night (Lefteris) and the hotel manager were all exceptional and we appreciated their friendliness and professionalism. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the vineyard suite which is very large with two bedrooms and a sitting area, as well as its own very private terrace with dining tables and lounge chairs and of course sweeping views of the sea. This certainly made our stay even more memorable. The hotel strikes the right balance in all aspects - on an island that can feel very busy and "party", here you enjoy tranquil moments away from it all and you can thoroughly relax. The views from the hotel are amazing, unobstructed, no roads in the way, you just look at the infinity of the sea and the rocks that surround it. The ambience and decor are elegant and minimalist, so it all feels luxurious but in an understated way and not in an "in your face" glitzy way. We liked to lounge around the main pool and restaurant area where the music is chill so there is a beach/island vibe, but there are 2 more pools on different levels so you can enjoy more privacy. This is a relatively small hotel (around 18 rooms I think) so it will never feel crowded. The breakfast was impeccable, and we were so glad that it wasn't the usual generic buffet - It's actually a la carte. There is short path from the hotel that leads to a small rocky cove where you can dip in the sea. I loved this detail. Also a private small sandy beach 5 minutes from the hotel where you can enjoy a relatively quiet beach - very rare in Mykonos. Overall we had a dreamy stay and next time we go back to Mykonos there is no doubt where we will be staying!
This hotel is fabulous and the staff makes sure your experience is too. The views of the sea are second to none and the resort has multiple places (on multiple levels) that you can take in the magnificence. From the minute we arrived, the staff made sure we were taken care of - from transportation to dinner reservations to advice on the best beach club. The manager, Nikolas, went out of his way to make sure our stay was perfect. Often times, we felt we were the only people at the resort (although the staff was always there when you needed something) and even the island yet the center was only a short 15 drive away. I would recommend this place if you’re looking to do some R&R in a gorgeous landscape with an attentive staff to cater to your needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!
