Great hotel on the beach but within a short walk to Mykonos town. Though they are happy to drop you off and pick you up. Huge sunbeds, super clean and very helpful staff. Lovely breakfast with fresh fruit hot and cold buffet with eggs and pancakes to order.
We have traveled to many places and the Mykonos Bay Hotel stands out as one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The staff, specifically Orieta, Rina, Christina, Viota, and Panos were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond our expectations. The pool and beach area are in excellent condition with great and plentiful chairs and very nice towels. The owner is a very kind older gentleman that picked us up at the ferry and works hard to support his staff. We loved the restaurant and the breakfast includes everything you could ask for even custom omelettes. They even made a cake for our son’s birthday. The rooms have excellent AC and the showers are innovative and effective. The walk to Mykonos was 10 minutes or so and we really enjoyed Little Venice. Rina and Christina arranged a nice convertible that was dropped off and picked up at the hotel with no stress on us at all. Orieta seemed to appear out of thin air to make sure we did not need anything. If you are are looking for a relaxing place to stay in Mykonos that is close to many active spots than this is 5e place. You will not regret it.
From the moment we arrived at Mykonos Bay Hotel, we knew that this hotel would be different in the best way possible. The staff was so genuinely friendly right away and made us feel like luxury. The entire hotel property was so well maintained and clean that I could not help but take picture after picture and those did not even do it justice. Our rooms were beautiful and we spent so much time just relaxing by the pool. A huge shout out to the amazing staff who were always so accommodating and especially to Panos, Christina, Orieta and Nikos! This was the best vacation/hotel we have ever been on and we were so sad to leave. I would highly recommend anyone staying here for the true Mykonos experience as it was close to the town but far out enough to enjoy the quiet. Thanks for such an amazing vacation, we hope to be back!
From the moment we were picked up from the airport, to the moment we were taken to the port to catch the ferry, we were treated like we were the only guests staying at this beautiful resort. Our room in sparkling white, with a light up cave like shower, opened up to an even more sparkling white courtyard. The pool area is very inviting and overlooks the beautiful blue waters of Aegean Sea. Have your camera ready for the stunning sunsets! The breakfast spread has a lot to choose from. A nice walk into town. Again, the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us, from recommending what to do and see to picking up our pre ordered ferry tickets for us! I would definitely recommend this resort!
Picturesque Mykonos Hotel. The hotel manager Chrisoula was extremely welcoming upon arrival and even more warm, hospitable during the stay. She has been 13 years, you can tell she has a passion for what she does. The hotel is immaculately clean, all white, modern, luxury. Amazing sunset and views from any area in the hotel. Nils is great on the bar, helped me fixed my rental car, and makes a real nice Caprinhia. He also gave me many tips of places to go on the island. Joanna, is a waitress in the villas lobby and from the first day remembered all of our breakfast orders. She was so kind also. Saw her out one night when were having dinner, came over to give us big hugs. Made sure I constantly had a frappe filled. Tassos another front of the house manager was welcoming with smile, and warmness. He made sure you were having a good day. Be sure to ask for him. His laugh is contagious. We had a villa with a private pool, and jacuzzi. The pool at the villas was very private and posh with music playing. Also at the main hotel is a beach front pool and bar, with great staff. The house rosé and white sangria were both very enjoyable. Hope to return to see these amazing people and hotel next year!
We couldn’t mark this hotel down for anything. Perfect sunset views, amazing pool area and friendly staff. Every where was super clean, with the rooms being cleaned twice a day. The walk to Mykonos town was 5 minutes, although they do also provide a free taxi should you ask. Good breakfast, lunch was a little over priced, so we opted to either walk into town for Gyros or go to the beach hut 30 seconds away, called Joanna’s Nikos. An amazing holiday and would highly recommend staying here.
We just left after an amazing short stay at the Mykonos Bay Hotel. After reading the stellar reviews and seeing some of the photos, we had reasonably high expectations but even those were exceeded. Even before we arrived, the staff contacted me by email and phone ahead of time to ensure they had our arrival information (ferry boat name, expected departure from Santorini) so they could be sure to greet us at the ferry terminal at Mykonos. The ferry situation is a bit hectic for Americans used to more rules and regulation, so we were glad to look for a guy holding a sign with the hotel’s name on it once we disembarked at Mykonos port. He got our bags from us and took us to a waiting shuttle van for the fairly short ride to the hotel. On arrival, we were stunned to see the nearly all-white property. It is just gorgeous, bright white everywhere except punctuated by beautiful blue glass boulders and natural stone accents. I hope you can get a sense from my photos why I say this is a hotel to stay at if you ever wanted to see what it is like to live in an Architectural Digest property. Instead of standing at a counter to check in, a hostess brought us to a nearby table, served us cold lemonade, and had us fill out a little paperwork, while she described the hotel’s amenities and showed us some highlights of the beach and nearby town. A great intro to the property and the island. We had reserved a room category called Deluxe Double Room Seaview. I had envisioned a room on a bluff from which one could see the ocean. But this room was full-on oceanfront. From the balcony—complete with two chairs, a table, and a hanging hammock for two (perhaps more romantic than comfortable)—you are about 50 yards from the water. The beautiful beach is only a bit lower than the hotel, rather than being a modest hike down as I had assumed. And we experienced two phenomenal sunsets directly from our balcony. The room itself is a comfortable size, with a queen bed, a sofa that can double as a child’s single, a mini-fridge, safe, closet, flat screen TV, desk, Nespresso machine, and very efficient remote-controlled A/C. The bathroom featured a large shower with a seat, a handheld spray, a rain spray head, AND two additional spray heads that you can adjust for your upper and lower body. That’s a lot of shower heads! A couple of quirks: the sink area is outside of the shower/toilet room. We didn’t mind it but some might object to that design. Also, there is a “window” between the shower room and the bed, with an electronically controlled louvered blind set up; you can raise the blinds and look at the ocean while you shower, or you can keep it closed for maximum privacy. Our room also lacked a real closet. The closet area has no door but only white decorative ropes hanging down, presumably to save space instead of a door. Finally, the only window to the outside is the door to the balcony in the back—but it consists of floor to ceiling glass window doors that feature the ocean view so we found it more than adequate. Note that some of the other ocean-facing rooms have their own hot tubs, but these may not be particularly private. But definitely try to get one of the ocean-facing rooms if you can; there is something really magical about being able to step out onto the balcony so close to a beautiful, quiet beach and enjoy a spectacular sunset. The property has an enormous pool featuring super-comfortable lounge chairs, umbrellas and a few day beds with massive beanbag cushions. All of this pool furniture is in white, in keeping with the look of the rest of the hotel. The pool area leads directly out to the hotel’s adjoining beach, which has the same lounge chairs. There are palapa style umbrellas on the beach which look tropical but are not adjustable to follow the sun’s rays. When we were guests, the hotel was not full so there was no problem getting excellent locations at the beach or pool. The attendants were friendly and helpful. One can order drinks and food and have them brought to you poolside or at the beach. Unlike some other beach situations we’ve experienced, there were no vendors bothering guests; just the most peaceful, safe beach. The sand was somewhat pebbly and there are mostly flat and smooth rocks after the pebbly sand stops so this is not the ideal beach for swimming, but the water is generally clear and calm—perfect for a cooling dip. The hotel is a 7 minute walk from Mykonos Town, with its dozens and dozens of shops and restaurants. Although this distance is short, there are no sidewalks so it can be a bit nerve wracking to walk at the edge of the road and cars and buses narrowly pass you. If you wish, the hotel’s shuttle van drivers will take you to town or pick you up for a return ride. The included buffet breakfast offered plenty of variety, from cold foods such as fruit, yogurt, cereal, juices and many different kinds of pastries (including sinfully good tiny jelly donuts); hot foods included waffle bites, vegetable fritters, sausages, potatoes, and a choice of made-to-order eggs, omelettes and pancakes. You can also order espresso drinks made to order. We spent our last night in Greece eating at the hotel’s restaurant, Alisahni, and had a wonderful meal (see separate review). As an aside, we found the restaurants in Mykonos Town to be overpriced (some wildly so) and we found Alisahni reasonable in comparison. Aside from its physical beauty, the hotel benefits tremendously from its staff. Every one of them looked as if they enjoyed their jobs and were eager to offer any assistance to their guests. I am attaching more photos than I’ve ever attached to any of my prior reviews; I hope they give you some sense of the beauty of this property, which is truly exceptional. I can’t recommend Mykonos Bay Hotel more highly.
Gem of a location and the staff are so kind and helpful. During my stay, I twisted my ankle on the beach. The team at the hotel were more than accommodating during my stay and helped with providing much-needed ice for my sprang. The breakfast was amazing, the view incredible, and I look forward to returning next year! Breakfast is excellent, the staff is professional and friendly, and the hotel room was perfect!
We stayed at Mykonos Bay Hotel for days. We had absolutely the best service from all staff at the hotel. Each and every part of the staff went out of their way to assist us. The hotel itself, is pristine and beautiful. The staff works very hard to keep the buildings and groups perfectly clean. Breakfast was included and there was a delicious variety of options from a buffet or from the kitchen. There is a beautiful pool area and the hotel is directly on the beach. Mykonos Town is a 5 minute walk. The hotel also provides complimentary transportation to and from town. Excellent stay for us!
A huge thank you to Chrisoula and the entire staff for your amazing service and courteous mannerisms our entire stay in Mykonos. They went above and beyond for us. We had the most amazing experience !
