We recently spent two nights here on a spur of the moment weekend getaway. Perfectly located in Whitehall, across from Howmet theatre and within a couple of short blocks walking distance to the lake, eating, shopping and a brewery and pub. Our host and hostess Ron and Kathy welcomed us, explained everything and offered restaurant suggestions. The whole house, our room, the Sygnet Suite, was very clean, spacious, comfortable bed and a beautiful full bathroom. It was wonderful to wake up to the lingering aroma of breakfast each morning, put on our house robe and poured a cup of coffee (or tea) from the hallway coffee station while we were getting ready. Downstairs fresh, homemade breakfast was waiting. The screened in porch is a sweet spot for morning coffee or a glass of wine, purchased at a Michigan winery, in the evening. Parking is on property. Special touches were everywhere, and you have to go to experience simply a lovely, homey B&B. Thank you, Kathy and Ron; looking forward to returning, and taking advantage of one of your experience packages! Jeff and Martha K, Chicago, Illinois

Large rooms are elegantly furnished with antiques and comfy beds. The screened in porch with white wicker furniture was the perfect place for a take out dinner when most restaurants were closed on Monday night. Our hostess even brought us real plates, silver ware, and wine glasses. Coffee, tea and treats were available at all times, and breakfast was sublime with home made goodies. You could not find a more welcoming host & hostess that Cathy & Ron. Our every need was attended to. It is an easy walk to a charming downtown and good restaurants, You might want to do take a walk or picnic on the shore of Lake Michigan only a short drive away. The B&B is across the street from a Summer Theater Festival, so check their dates before you go. You will understand why people keep coming back!

Reserved a Friday/Saturday night based on TripAdvisor reviews and ratings and once again fellow TripAdvisor travelers came through. The White Swan was everything we had hoped for in a B&B. The hosts Kathy and Ron were warm and engaging. The Inn was spotlessly clean, well appointed and furnished. Beds and baths were well sized and comfortable. Walking distance to the marinas and to town. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed our time around the breakfast table with other guests. The town of Whitehall is a small quiet lakeside town away from the tourist traps north and south, however many activities are within 45 minutes of the Inn. Highly recommended!

Hey great, cozy, bed-and-breakfast near downtown Whitehall across from the Howmet Theatre. Very friendly host, very informed on the area where to eat in goal. The breakfasts we’re very good. Parking is right next to the bed and breakfast. I would recommend this to anyone.

This was our 2nd visit. First time was for our honeymoon, six years ago. Kathy is a Great host. She went above and beyond to prepare low carb breakfasts for my wife and I. We will be back again for sure.

We had a great time at the White Swan Inn! The house is very interesting and beautifully furnished. The rooms are comfortable and lovingly decorated. Cathy, the owner, is really nice and interesting to talk to, made us an amazing breakfast and gave us very helpful advice on what to see in town (thank you Cathy!). It does help that Whitehall is a lovely town, with a harbour and a great restaurant by the seaside in walking distance. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the White Swan Inn and will recommend it to anyone visiting the area. And we would love to be back one day! Marianne, Michael & Paul

Charming old house, large comfortable room, gracious hosts. They were very accommodating with our late reservation and late arrival. (Note: there's not much open at 8:00 on a weekday! We made do with Pizza Hut.) Excellent breakfast and sent us on our way with some scenic drive recommendations as we continued north.

Cathy was a wonderful host. From the minute we called to make arrangements, she was helpful with every detail of our trip. We needed 2 more rooms for other family members but the inn was full. Cathy was able to put them in her cottages, which have great space for families with kids The breakfasts were delicious and served according to our schedule. The rooms had little details that made our stay in this bed and breakfast feel like a special getaway. We had a lovely cruise with Cathy and Ron on their beautiful yacht and enjoyed hearing all about White Lake and Lake Michigan. Thank you Cathy! Your passion for your guests at this bed and breakfast was much appreciated!

It was our fourth time at the White Swan. The location is great; lots of things to do and lots of places to eat, all within 30 minutes from the inn. As always our stay was great; the room, the breakfast and Cathy were all great.

This was our second stay at a White Swan property and Cathy was the perfect hostess. The Swan's Nest was immaculate and comfortable. Our visit to the area was very relaxing and also full of good family fun. Minutes from Michigan's Adventure,Country Dairy Farm, several beautiful Lake Michigan beaches and not very far from Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Muskegon and Holland. We also enjoyed a picturesque sunset cruise on the Third Swan with Captain Ron and Cathy as our lovely hosts. This was one of our favorite annual family getaways!
