Excellent business hotel - functional but clean and tidy, and with a good roof bar, but is good to stay with families whilst sightseeing in Muscat as the location makes it easy to drive everywhere and the staff are very helpful
Nice standard of hotel with a grill style restaurant next to it (drinks are a little pricey). There is also a rooftop pool and its ladies night on Tuesday so would recommend. Breakfast is average but it included with the room. Only negative is that it’s about a 20 minute drive from the airport and taxis are very expensive (120aed roughly each way!).
Stayed here for a week, it has all the facilities needed, rooms are well equipped and tidy. It’s situated next to the main highway which gives a lot of noise from the rooftop pool during the day. The rooftop bar opens 6pm with the first 2 hours offering 20% on certain alcohol drinks. Limited menu but we ate there every evening as it’s nice to sit out in warm weather. The hotel is a 10mins walk along the road (no footpath) to Lulu’s hypermarket and the Grand Mall. As a western woman I felt intimidated from car horns and heckles wearing sleeveless dress but the next day had short sleeved top and trousers and no problem! The gym is well equipped and open long hours. The RGB grill was good for lunch if you just want a light bite, The Palm Restaurant within the hotel was a buffet style meal. Food and drink are typically expensive as it’s hotel hospitality.
We stayed here twice both at the start and end of our tour and it fits the bill. Good size spotlessly clean rooms, with everything you'll need. Food inside the property is fine but the mall is a quick walk (or cheap taxi) around the corner where there are more restaurants. If like us the timings of your flight necessitate a layover in Muscat this is an ideal place and we would happily return.
As you are coming in to the home stretch of your 10 day tour of UAE and Oman, its nice to land in a hotel with the standard hotel comforts. This is a Radisson property after all, so I knew what to expect. The hotel was modern, clean, and comfortable. The restaurant area was centrally located and had the breakfast buffet was typical of a business type hotel. As this was the last hotel we stayed at, we had our farewell dinner in the restaurant this is were the hotel trailed off horribly. The Dinner the night before was very good. The farewell dinner was horrible. Not sure what happened with the chef, so that is why I still give this rating 'Very Good'. Everyone has an off day. The services were really trying to see what they could do to replace the entree, but most of us in the tour just wanted to get some sleep so we could get up for our 4:40 am flight the next morning that required a 1:30 am trip to the Muscat airport.
Convenient for the airport and just a short ride to the major attractions in Muscat; the Opera House, Mosque and the port of Muttrah. Like many places in Oman, the smell of frankincense greets you on arrival. Spotless rooms, comfortable beds, free and fast wifi, excellent breakfast spread, fast lifts and a superb roof top pool all combine to make this a good choice for business or pleasure. Beware though. If you are a light sleeper make sure your room does not overlook the road - the noise is significant. We asked to be moved and reception seemed surprised that we were content with a marginally smaller room, a king sized bed instead of twins in a room without a view but which was blissfully quiet. The restaurant attached to the hotel is not good - food is ridiculously overpriced and service is slow. Very near a major shopping mall though there are no pavements so take care at night. Purity on reception is perhaps not best suited to employment in the hospitality industry seemingly unable to smile or react with anything other than negativity. Pool is lovely, towels provided. Top marks for dispensers in the bathrooms - let's start to get rid of ridiculous little plastic bottles of shampoo etc. which contribute to so much waste.
We stayed here for 4 nights in March 2018 at the end of our road trip around northern Oman. The hotel is well located for the airport, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and 2 shopping malls. Not so well located for the beach, Muscat old town or Mutrah. The greeting at check-in was perfectly pleasant and we were soon in our room on the 5th Floor. The room was a modern, business style room that was a good size but somewhat bland. Plenty of amenities such as tea & coffee, safe, ironing board and TV with a a few watchable channels. Wifi was complementary but a little flaky at times. The bathroom was a good size with a nice refreshing shower. We didn't eat in the restaurant as the nearby malls (5-10 minutes walk) have plenty of food options but we did have breakfast included which was sufficient to get the day started without being particularly great (although they did serve the best tasting coffee we had all holiday). There's a rooftop pool and bar area which is nicely lit at night but don't look too closely otherwise it starts to feel a little tired and could do with a touch of TLC. As with most of Oman drinks are expensive (about £8 for a bottle of beer). Outside there are plenty of parking spaces and in the opposite direction to the shopping malls are a reasonable selection of local restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk (the place feels perfectly safe). Overall a perfectly good and functional hotel but probably more suited to the business traveler or airport over nighter.
Short taxi ride from the airport makes this a good value stop. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff very pleasant, rooftop pool area is fine for a dip and a doze on the first and last nights. Restaurant slightly pricey (as are most hotels in Oman) as is the breakfast buffet but food fine. There is a large mall in walking distance( and a short taxi ride back if you do not feel like walking on the roadside after dark) which has a food court which is an alternative for supper. I wouldn't stay here for a holiday but if you have an early flight highly recommend it for a stop-over.
Good reception, a nice and spacious room. Friendly staff, a good roof top bar with stunning view. A good breakfast. This hotel is center of city where you can access city destinations as well as business locations.
I had a very short trip to Muscat for 3 days and 2 nights only, first time to stay in Park INN Muscat, I have to say it was a nice stay with very minor issues, I like the food and staff , room was clean and good, Bathroom was clean and well build. TV had wide varieties, also I had a chance to visit health club in 6th floor was nice and quiet. I had to issue didn't like in that Hotel, first thing was WiFi signal was very bad in my room and to wait very long time to download some files for my work, or had to go to reception to finish my work. second issue was Room had only one window viewing to reception which is very weird to me, I had to keep curtains shut all the time.
