Expensive ... The hotel is close to the festival and far from the center about a kilometer .. next to an unpleasant neighborhood ... Basic hotel is simple and expensive compared to others .. I will not return !!!
Our purpose for our visit was Munich's amazing Beer economy. The Oktoberfest is a walking distance from here. The Munich Hauptbahnhof is a walking distance from here that connects to the airport The Supermarkets & Restaurants are a walking distance from here These reasons alone makes it all worthwhile to choose this place. The hotel accommodated our luggage with no fuss while heading to the Oktoberfest grounds and also waiting for our flight out of Munich The hotel was clean and had all the amenities we requested. The hotel provides a good breakfast, the staff are super friendly Be mindful of the noise during the Oktoberfest as it is a main street and atmosphere at the bar downstairs is vocal during the bigger nights. This is no problem. If you do not drink beer while at Oktoberfest, they why are you in Munich? Thanks for the hospitable and professional service while maintaining affordable rates for our group.
A good budget hotel with a location close to the train station and walking distance to the city centre. Rooms are clean and a nice size. The food is OK the only thing I didn't like was the bar staff attitude. They were OK but not friendly
Great service from hotel front desk staff, maintenance, and bartender. Rooms are basic and small and standard rooms do not have AC. But, we learned this is typical and most people don't have AC. Room had a comfy clean queen bed, fridge, TV, desk, chair, and bathroom with shower. 5 min walk from Haupbahnhof central station was convenient access to airport and all Munich sights downtown. We loved and befriended Carlos the bartender and returned to patronize him almost every night of our stay. After a day of sightseeing and upon returning to the hotel Carlos welcomed us with a friendly wave and cold beer.
Overall, nice location because it is a stone throw away to the train station. It is close to restaurants. You can choose from middle eastern, greek, Mediterranean, Chinese and contemporary german restaurants. I also like the fitness center for me being active and works out everyday. CONS--VERY SLOW INTERNET!! It is like living in a third world country. Rooms are small, but it is ok as we don't have kids. The 2 reasons why I rated them 3.
I wouldn't class this as four stars its like a premier inn in the UK really. Its comfortable enough and the staff are helpful and friendly. It is about ten minutes walk to marienplatz and from there you can find yourself and orientate to go everywhere else. The hotel is in an area which is mostly Muslim cafes and shisha bars and gets busy at night or it was on the weekend we were there. All in all we had a pleasant stay although if visiting again would probably book elsewhere closer to the centre.
Nice hotel, nothing fancy bu good enough for a working visit. Near Marienplatz and near the places to see. Subway station very close and going to the major places from there. Walking distance to Main station with trains, subways and train.
The hotel was appropriate for our travel with the children. The room was good, the bathroom perfect. The breakfast was excellent and copious. I can this hotel suggest everyone who wants to find good accommodation in the city center.
You are not paying luxury hotel prices here so I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews on this hotel. The rooms are small, but in great condition, well equipped, clean and have a few basic extras such as the coffee machine and toiletries. Bathroom great for a small space, not poky at all and the shower is excellent. Reception staff very helpful and efficient. It is about 5 minutes walk from central station (get the S1 or S8 train direct from the airport) Great shops nearby - delicious pastries from a small newsagent shop round the corner on the left as you walk to St. Paul's church. Plenty of places to buy water for 50c a bottle - strange that the hotel charges 4 euros for a large bottle of water in the room. I would recommend booking a room with air conditioning (20 euros a day extra) if the weather is expected to be hot. I think that this hotel is great for the price - but it is certainly not luxury. I would definitely recommend it - and I am just booking it again now for Oktoberfest next month!
Hotel was excellent and we had a good holiday. This is a bit of an inposition to ask for more information to that we have already given and as such it detracts from our intention of giving an honest and fair review!
