I stay at Radisson a lot around Europe. Both in Radisson Blu and Park Inns. This stay was a Park Inn in Munich and was located conveniently for my business needs. But felt like the area was a bit industrial and somewhat abandoned. The staff are friendly and attentive. Received an upgrade to a suite which was nice. The suite was more than adequate in size with a bedroom, living room with balcony and a kitchenette on route into the bathroom! Quality wise though it was below average of other Park Inns I have stayed in. Had two televisions in the suite but one in bedroom didn't work. Net curtains in living room didn't close but curtains did. Balcony looked out onto railway but noise wasn't an issue. Breakfast was adequate, but it is very busy in the week up until after 08.30. Did not eat in the restaurant as I find the menu a little dull and too similar in each Park Inn. Really nice Bavarian restaurant/pub across the road is highly recommended, but take cash as they do not accept credit card and only German debit cards seem to work. Hotel doesn't have atm but there is one approximately 7-10 minutes walk from hotel. Overall average.
Good place to stay in Munich On plus side 1)Very nice place around. 2)Good transport avaliability (Sbahn s8 nearby) 3)Good rooms. 4)Very nice breakfast I can also advice Bavarian restoraunt nearby On minus side 1)Furniture is quite old and need to be renovated (maybe it is part of design) Rooms are also qute good. As conclusion: Can be recomended.
Had a great time. Staff is very friendly and speaks very good English. Nicely located to the S bahn to get you into the city. Rooms are spacious enough and condo/apartment style. Had a great stay and would highly recommend again. Breakfast was authentic Bavarian and was very good. Staying here next time I goto Munich. Parking is limited on the street but for a small fee you can park in their underground garage.
How could anybody possibly feel refreshed and energised without a "good night's sleep"?! Who cares about a gorgeous breakfast, if the during the previous night the sleep has been abruptly interrupted every half hour? A hotel should first of all provide its guests with the opportunity to sleep well and to rest at their best. This hotel does not respect at all this principle, not the least bit towards customers who occupy the rooms on one side.. ..the one that is only a couple of meters far from the tracks. The railroad is very busy and at night the freight trains, which speed during infinite minutes, make the sleepers jump on their bed. The noise is earsplitting. A hotel should not be allowed to rise on the edge of a railroad, or near any place where the noise might prevent those receiving accommodation from benefiting from the deserved tranquility. This hotel should not exist where it is. Its accommodation conditions are not at all worth the price!
Stayed 1 night from Sunday to Monday. During reservation I wrote that I will have Concierge card upon arrival and there should be upgrade to the next room category. I arrived around midnight and found that room is standard, without any upgrade. Moreover, it was located in the very end of the corridor. During checkout next morning I asked why I was not upgraded and I was told that there were no rooms available. But I am doubt it seriously. 1) there were rooms available of Business class in the hotel site. 2) my stay was from Sunday to Monday, which is usually not very busy day of the week 3) hotel does not looks 100% occupied. I suppose someone just forgot to give me requested upgrade. This is not the level of service which Concierge card owner can expect.
A brand like Radisson with such Rude Front desk staff... Its shocking is what i should say. I have called up the Hotel 2 days ahead for my early check-in and the Hotel Reception staff confirmed. But on my day of arrival, the staff at the reception was not ready to listen to what I say and kept repeating the same sentence "Check-in at 3pm, no rooms available". I travelled with my wife & 2 kids and you don't expect such things to happen on a dream trip to europe. For the Hotel staff, its a day-to-day activity but the customers its once in their life time. Finally after a long discussion and arguement he accepted to give me a room. Room size was ok and breakfast is not up to the mark for a brand like Radisson. Parking was so narrow and i don't recommend this hotel for anyone better pay a bit more and stay is a better hotel to have a peaceful vacation.
The hotel is just 15 meters from a busy railway. Even with the Windows closed, the noise is disturbing at night. Minibar was empty. NBathroom was not 100% clean. Breakfast was Ok. Will never ever come here again.
Actually, it is my second time to choose this well nominated hotel, actually I like it more than the other Park Inn in Munich, because it has got parking outside, which is complimentary, their breakfast used to be even better, but what did bother me today, that one waitress in the morning has been extremely unfriendly only because I drank a few tiny glasses of Smoothie (I was thirsty) and wanted to take a few cup noodles to my table before opening them up and slowly putting them into a bowl. That breakfast lady (with a broken German skilled accent) insisted to put the noodles back, I shall make those in their prepared bowl. Anyways, I understand her meaningful logic, but as a customer I have a right to choose noodles while sitting and to consult my second guest which ones we shall eat, rather than having to come over to the noodle basket to choose. Overall, apart from that breakfast issue, it was all fine.
It was a short stay for me at this hotel. Room was spacious and nice but l couldnt sleep when the train runs ever now and then at the backyard of the hotel. It is lovely to watch the train goes by but not the sound when you are trying to get some rest.
Stayed with my family for 2 night, room was ok. missing safety box. the bathroom looks old. Overall the room was ok, not belong for 4 stars hotel. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was average, the choices were limited, suggest to improve the breakfast. Free wifi around the hotel, a computer located near the reception for the guest. Parking is free around the area.
