Stayed four nights in May with my husband. Rooms are clean & comfortable, with a nice little balcony. Terrific location, lovely neighbourhood, safe & close to train station. Breakfast was so good! Absolutely loved Munich & would definitely stay at the Leonardo again.
It was my first time in Munich and we decided to stay at this hotel. I am very impressed with the staff, rooms and mostly with the Breakfast. I must say , i had the best breakfast in a long time. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who plans on visiting Munich for a short stay. Would definitely stay here again. (Mostly for the breakfast :P)
Great room and location near the station. Everything was easily accessible. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the location was very safe. Since most stores were closed on Christmas eve, having the small kitchenette definitely helped. There is also a small grocery store right across the street Great hotel especially for the cost!
This is our 4th time in this hotel! We brought friends with us this time and it was like coming home to a family! The warm, kind and very professional welcome at check in is delightful! The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a coffee machine, microwave and a fridge in our room which was very convenient! There is also china and silverware in the room if you want a little snack by yourself! The hotel has a little sauna and steam bath for relaxing ( after sightseeing a great thing to do )! There is only one negative thing to say, the housekeeping manger does not speak good German or English which is complicated to explain a complaint! If the language of the housekeeping Manager improves that would be perfect! Public transportation ( subway) is just 1 min walking distance from the hotel! Our friends were very satisfied,so that we are planning our next stay in Munich at the Leonardo Hotel & Residence!
This hotel is very pretty and confortable. Rooms have all what is needed and are quite welled equipped. We also used the parking underneath. Rooms were clean and confortable. I would go back in future travels to this town.
The Hotel offer good room, with balcony, good wifi (rare in european hotels). Has 2 saunas. No gym (they have an elyptical) BUT: the reception staff was not in the mood to be solicit as the job requires, every time you needed it was like you were bothering them or asking a huge favor (can i buy soap for laundry, please?). - They have very small and expensive laundry facilities. The Restaurant WHICH IS NOT FROM THE HOTEL, it’s a separate deal, has very rude staff at night shift. VERY RUDE. Prepare to be mistreated. The location it’s very nice and close to subway tram, stores, food grocery, nails xct. It’s good. You will be fine if you don’t need front desk or the indoor food services. Just enjoy the room! - Weekly traveler advices!
The hotel is fairly new, it’s in a very good position to visit the city, just a short walk to the subway station, in a quiet area of the city. The rooms are clean, and the staff is nice. Big plus there is an amazing Italian restaurant inside the hotel, it’s not cheap but it’s worth it. The only downside was the feee wifi, the connection was not very good and super slow. There is another connection option available, you have to pay but it’s supposed to be better.
Stayed here recently and will stay here again if I go back to Munich. The location was wonderful!! The train is less than 2 blocks away and runs every 5 minutes or so to the city center. Very easy and fast to get to where you need to be. I felt very safe in the area. There was a nice German restaurant across the street and a pub around the corner, both great places to go. The staff was so welcoming and informative - they were awesome. Booked online through Booking.com and prepaid and no extra charges. The room was fairly small, but that is how Europe hotels generally are unless you pay a premium price. The price of this hotel was great! There was a balcony to sit on and there was a park kitty corner from the hotel. Decent view. Soda machine with beer in it (I just thought that was interesting as you wouldn't find that in the United States). Went to Germany to see the Christmas Markets and tour castles. I can't recommend this hotel enough. It was great! Also, there was plenty of hangers in the closet, plenty of closet and shelf space, hair dryer, safe, a flat screen tv I didn't turn on, a little kitchenette which we didn't use because I don't cook on vacation... We had a triple room and the third bed had a hard mattress, but was fine and wouldn't complain. The only negative (and wasn't owned by hotel and others seem to feel differently) was that the Italian restaurant for dinner had good food, but the staff there treated us terribly and we got the impression that they didn't like Americans. Separate review there. Do not hesitate to book this hotel, they were great and the rooms were very nice and clean - staff was definitely great! Restaurants within walking distance or take the train to the city.
Noisy, lifts out of order, rooms not cleaned.... List of issues. Noise: if your room is on the street side there is 40% chance that trucks load and unload as of 5h30!!!! Known issue but nothing us being done.
The hotel is just a few minutes walk from U2 in a quiet residential area. The room is reasonable large and clean. The breakfast is wonderful with warm and cold dishes to chose from. The room rate is reasonable. Only one comment is that the cleaner did not replenish the soap in the toilet.
