Four times its been my pleasure to stay here now in winter and summer and every time it has excelled . Breakfast and dinner are appetizingly good and plentiful. If you would like to eat outside the hotel there are a few nice local restaurants and great drinking bars too. The Staff go out of their way to help with any request a few have even gone that extra mile which is great. The Wifi could be a bit faster and the bed sheets could be a bit bigger but thats the norm for Germany i think, anyway the rooms are various sizes but a double is big enough and the beds are hard but comfy. There is a gym too but we were having too much fun to use it. The area surrounding the hotel is quiet and safe from what i remember, you can easily find an bus stop nearby called Spixstraße and Silberhornstraße is the underground stop only 100 meters away where you get the 15 25 or n27 train to the center of Munich. Its also walk able if your fit and would take you about an hour i've done it a few time and there are lots of places to see on route. Summer is wonderful in Munich and well worth a visit. Oktoberfest also have a few places to visit nearby as at reception they will be happy to help The one i can sort remember is the Paulaner Garten Nockherberg a quick 10 min taxi ride or a 40 min stochastic walk.
Stayed here for the Easter break with friend and found this to suit all our needs. Conveniently situated about 25m from the nearest U-bahn station, this hotel has a great location. With it being out of town you are unlikely to encounter any of the noise associated with the city centre, but yet enjoy the convenience of shops, amenities and restaurants near-by; otherwise Marienplatz is just 4 stops away on the U-bahn. The rooms are of adequate size, the beds are comfortable enough, and the bathroom clean with some toiletries. There are no coffee or tea making facilities. The service on reception is suffice, although they did mess up our room initially but was sorted out soon after. I would seriously consider staying here again in the future if I return to Munich.
I endorse all the other complimentary reviews. Rather than repeat them I shall merely add two points. The Heimgarten restaurant opposite the hotel is very handy in bad weather and offers huge portions of well cooked food. If you are coming from the airport - take the S-bahn Line S1 to Feldmoching which is also the terminus for U-bahn Line 2 which takes you to Silberhorne Strasse the stop for the hotel. The previous stop is Columbus Platz. Leave via the exit marked Klinikum. If you like classical music there are live relays in Max-Joseph Platz - 24-6-17 at 20.30 an orchestral concert of Russian music. 09-7-17 at 18.00 'Wagner 'Parsifal' - very well cast with Kirill Petrenko conducting The opera house is well worth a visit with a very wide price range - it is easy to book online or hope for returns if the opera is sold out. Like all of the people in Munich, the staff are very helpful.
The service at times was inefficient and the staff were unfriendly particularly a blonde bar-maid in the guest bar. However, the rooms were pleasant and clean. The location was good and was in a peaceful location.
Very nice hotel, quite central to tram and bus routes but a reasonable 3 km walk to the Alstadt. Very easy to use tram though. Rooms comfy and clean. The family room was a nice size and had a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, hob and fridge which was useful. Underground parking is good but you will pay €15 extra per day for it. Staff very helpful.
The hotel is located in a quiet area, but very well connected to the city centre - 3 minutes walk to Metro and 3-4 stations to ride. There is a parking available for 15'EUR per day. The rooms are clean and nice, not very big. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast can be bought for 13 EUR, in case is not included in the room price. There are some supermarkets in the area as well. My room had a small kitchenette with free coffee, sparkling water and tea. Overall all, I am happy with the choice I've made and I would go back anytime.
We really enjoyed our stay at this great hotel. Thanks to all the staff for such a pleasant stay. Room was very clean, quiet, bright and modern. There was also a kitchinette with a kettle, coffee machine, a fridge and a microwave which is very helpful if you wanted to prepare a cup of coffee or tea or small meals for yourself. And it had a very comfortable mattress which ensured a good night sleep.
The hotel is beautiful and very clean. Located in a nice neighborhood, with a supermarket accross the street and only 1 min from the subway (takes 10mins to get to the centre and 7 to the train station). Top notch service as well, we definitely recommend it to everyone coming to Munich!
Located quite close to city Center, near Silberhornstrasse underground station Leonardo Hotel & Residenz Munich is a good 4 star hotel for business and touristic trips. If I would do a summary with some short comments than is should be as follows: On the positive side I would mention: • Very good location, city center with easy access to all touristic places and good connection to underground and S-Bahn in case that you are in Munich for a business trip • Friendly hotel staff, they smile to me each time, the react fast for each request, fruits and refreshment is available for free at reception desk • Underground parking is available but not for free • Very good price to quality of service ratio • SPA area is nice there is a dry, a wet sauna and a relaxation area • Very good and divers breakfast, there are so many options that basically you can fine whatever you want. There are breakfast buffets; the first one is with more lite food while the second buffet has more heavy food. Not only diversity but also quality food, Expresso taste like in a bar and they also offer a wide variety of homemade bread. • There is a nice pub at reception with very good bier • Rooms are clean and warm, make you feel comfortable even if you spend a week. There are rooms with a small kitchen equipped with fridge, electric stove and microwave and some dishes in case you want to heat up your dinner, rate is the same you should only mention it at reception. • Beds are very comfortable, interior design is minimalistic, business oriented. Quests are welcome with fine sweets. • The wear degree of towels and drapes is low • At ground floor there is a self-service room where you have the possibility to iron shirts and wash clothes. Washing machine and dryer are not free but are very affordable • Baggage storage service is offered for free • There is a supermarket at hotel corner open until 8PM There is also some room for improvement: • Fitness are is small being equipped only with some bicycles, by enlarging it and adding a section with weights would make me more happy • Rooms a bit too small, a bigger size room would be a plus • I recommend to pay the room in the evening before you leave the hotel, due to the high amount of tourists leaving in the morning you may get in a queue (10min waiting time) • Sometimes tourists are loud but if you call reception they will solve the issue fast
Stayed here for two nights whilst on business. Very comfortable room and well equipped bathroom. Beds very soft. Hotel staff were very helpful - one day I left my phone charger at the office so they lent me one (for a small deposit). Although dining on my own the restaurant staff made me feel welcome and were very attentive.
