Just home from a brilliant 5 day stay at the Pullman Munich. My husband, myself and 9 year old son loved this hotel, we were there for a city break to celebrate a big birthday, on arrival the hotel had left a lovely birthday cake in our room, a thoughtful touch. The superior room was spacious and chic, excellent extras such Nespresso machine and complimentary mini bar with a generous range of quality drinks and snacks were a welcome bonus! We found everything to be clean and organised, great polite staff from cleaners to desk staff, good choice of breakfast, no quibbles from us. Location was great, Underground right outside the hotel which was also clean, efficient and a short ride into the city centre, suited us perfectly. I had expected the hotel to be much further out from the city centre, not the case, close to English Garden and the Main Street nearby offered some good restaurants (Bavarian Stengel Hof) A very enjoyable stay and don’t be put off by other reviewers who complain about location.

As a former employee at well known 5 stars hotel, I must say that this is one of the difficult hotel review as it is a combination of the standard Pullman facilities but not the services/management style. Me and my partner stayed here for 6 nights. Therefore, we can accurately observe see how the hotel deliver the services. Check in: It was fast and smooth. I checked in quite late but have made a call to notify the staff regarding my late check in. As a silver member, we got a free drink vouchers. Overall it took 2-3 minutes to get everything done. I checked in quite late but have made a call to notify the staff regarding my late check in. As a silver member, we got a free drink vouchers. Overall it took 2-3 minutes to get everything done. The room: The room that we booked was a standard room. As expected from Pullman standard, the room was nicely furnished. Very stylish, modern, and clean. It also featured a small sofa! The room is big with big balcony. In winter it is quite useless but could be nice for summer. The bathroom is acceptable for two. Nice amenity but you have to ask for standard items such as toothbrush or vanity set. For this class of hotel, it should be set as standard. The bed is very comfortable but is a two queen size bed as a double bed. On the down side, right after we entered the room, we noticed a bad sewage smell from the bathroom. At first we thought it was not properly cleaned so we waited for another day for the cleaning lady to clean the room. That does not help. So we changed the room with a nice help from the front desk staff. That does not help much as the other room start to smell a little as well. House keeping: Room is always clean and everything is tidied up. Totally Pullman standard. However, we find it very disturbing that the house keeping lady changed our sign from "Please clean" to "Do not disturb". We placed the sign shortly before they stop the service. That might be the reason. Otherwise, we were very satisfied with the service. The hotel ground: It is not very big considering the name Pullman. It is quite compact for breakfast room, lobby, and gym. The elevator is very confusing and complicated. One need to take different elevator for going up and down. Moreover, the glass elevator has a very strong smell of lubrication oil. We also got stuck on the right elevator next to the stairs. I do not expect that from Pullman standard. The breakfast: As I mentioned, the hotel is very compact, so as the breakfast room. This breakfast room cannot handle all the guests. Everyday is packed with guests. So it is not about guest load but the size of the room. There are not so much of varieties considering it is a four stars hotel but still acceptable. The quality of food and drinks are Pullman standard. However, there must be a management problem with breakfast department. As I mentioned I used to work in a hotel, here it is quite chaotic. The popular food choice is often empty so it could be quite frustrating. Some of the machine is always occupied as they only have one machine. The poor staffs are running around all the time. It looks as if they do not manage things properly. Gym and wellness: The selection of gym equipments are not that satisfying considering it is Pullman/4 stars hotel. The size is very small and limited. It is alright for short stay but could bed challenging for longer stay and heavy lifter. The wellness is nice. However, the steam sauna was not working. In addition, the water tank was left empty. The bar: It is nice and cozy. The drink was fine but strong! Bartenders are very nice. Overall, we find this hotel not entirely a standard Pullman hotel. There are quite some rooms to improve. House keeping: Room is always clean and everything are tidied up. Totally Pullman standard. located in non touristy area, this hotel offers nice quiet location. However, it is still reachable through nordiehoff U station, which is very close to the hotel. Hotel property quality is excellent, more like a resort than a business hotel. Breakfast is limited compare to other 5 star hotel.

The hotel is modern and well maintained. The receptionists are professional and ready to help. Part of the bar items in the room are free of charge for some kind of rooms. The restaurant for breakfast is very expensive (I suggest to include also breakfast in the room price) but a bar is just outside the hotel. The subway is very close and the area is quiet. In my experience price is good for hotels of this kind.

The hotel design was modern and cozy. Nicely decorated lobby (especially during the Christmas season). We booked the Superior Double Room. Beds were big and VERY comfortable! The staff were friendly and accommodating. They offered a very good buffet breakfast, although quite repetitive if you're already staying for more than 3 days. Rooms however were smaller than expected, with very limited space for the baby crib we requested. (Plus, it would've been nice if they could've provided a better crib for a 4-star hotel.) No English channels on TV (or maybe there was, but was definitely hard to find). Not very satisfied with the daily housekeeping - we felt like they only fixed the sheets and replenished the toiletries. Some stuff were not arranged and it was not as clean as when we first arrived. Location-wise, it is not so recommended for families travelling with a baby. Not so near to tourist spots and it takes a long time to get a taxi with a baby car seat (which is required). Overall, it was an OK stay, but the hotel is probably more recommended for travelling couples or a group of adults.

The room was lovely and so much spacious with a nice balcony. The staff was nice and helpful. Cabs are always outside the hotel. Breakfast buffet spread was also very nice. I believe, for ala carte at their restaurant and bar, the choice is very limited. They should add more items to their menu. But staff at the restaurant is really considerate and try to make it up to your choice. Metro station and grocery store were also nearby. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Stayed here for a Christmas visit to see friends. Good position for Airport bus and on U6 for easy access to Munich centre. Good breakfast if somewhat crowded, nice bar and looked like good food although did not eat there. Rooms good, clean and quite. Friendly staff, Would recommend as it ticks most boxes for a city break or business trip.

We arrived on a Friday afternoon to very friendly and helpful staff, the room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to an underground station and we could get everywhere we wanted to go easily. We would definitely stay again if in Munich.

Highly recommend staying at the Pullman hotel if you'd rather stay where the locals are, than in the 'touristy' spots. This hotel is very close to the Nordfriedhof U Bahn station which takes you direct to Marienplatz in Munich. The hotel is also 2 U Bahn stops or a walk away from Münchener Freihart which is a lovely area with many cafes, restaurants, shops and Christmas markets in December. The staff at the hotel are pleasant and friendly. Our room was well spaced for a hotel room, very clean, with generous closet space and a nicely designed bathroom. The bed was comfortable and there were a few pillows to choose from. We did not sample the breakfast as €20 - €25 per person is a bit much when you're on holidays. If it's a business trip it makes sense as the nearest cafe with breakfast is about a 10min walk away. Also to note, most places don't open for breakfast until 10am (bakeries excluded).
