Four Points By Sheraton Munich Central

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

It is an average place to stay. Not very central. Central train station is about 500 metres away. Reception staff is warm and welcoming. Breakfast is more than average. For breakfast I will rate it as 4. Cleanliness was OK.

This was our second stay at this hotel. Once again we were impressed with the staff. Lea was extremely helpful in sorting out my room needs. I had two rooms reserved as my brother was with us this time. She was very patient and took the time to make sure we were comfortable with our rooms. The staff were always polite and friendly. This was all the more impressive if you could see on a daily basis what they had to deal with during Oktoberfest. Many noisy guests who were not interested in behaving nicely while at the front desk. I witnessed the staff always remaing calm and pleasant. I agree with earlier reviews regarding the location of this hotel as well as the quality of the breakfast(great!). There is construction right next door, but they do everything within their power to minimize the impact to their guests. One more special mention goes out to Yvonne who gave us some great day trip ideas! Overall I highly recommend this hotel! Location is great for Oktoberfest and also within a short walk to the main train station. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff really sets it apart and is the reason for my 5 star rating.

Can't beat the location for Oktoberfest. You can see from your room when the festivities begin in the morning. It was an easy walk from the train station (10 minutes) as well as well Marienplatz and the city center. It was awesome to easily walk 5 minutes back to the hotel after drinking a few too many beers at Oktoberfest. Clean, well-run Starwood property. Pretty nice for a four points. Breakfast was superb given that it is a Four Points.

This was out first visit to Munich --for Oktoberfest. The hotel was fantastic. It was close to the fairgrounds --within walking distance. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly. If I return--I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here during Oktoberfest. The hotel is super close to Oktoberfest but a little far from metro stations ( 5-7 minute walk). The lobby is quite small, so is the elevator, which was always packed when we were there. Our room was decent. It had all the things we needed. The TV's quite lacking. They don't offer any movie channels on TV so you'd be more inclined to order their paid movies. The bathroom was standard but I was not a fan of the "shampoo and conditioner in one." It made my hair incredibly dry and I'd recommend bringing your own products if you have long hair. Breakfast was better than I expected with a good variety and comfortable setting. Service was not bad. The staff were efficient and polite but were all a little indifferent. Overall I had a good stay but can't find any reason to come back.

This Hotel is the perfect spot to enjoy octoberfest in Munich The staff was helpful with all our needs. The hotel bar is the perfect spot to wind down after the feat plays closes. The hotel is one block from the entrance to the beerfest making for a safe and easy departure from the beer grounds

We chose to stay here purely due to the proximity to Octoberfest but in reality this area of Munich is not that large so pretty much anywhere near the centre will be fine. Check in was easy and they accommodated early which was good. No recognition of our gold status or upgrade offered. Lift is too small and always busy. Room was fine but bathroom is tiny and toiletries attached to the wall just feels cheap (and believe me it wasn't). Balcony had rubbish view. Other guests in corridors are loud and noise carries. Main door to room had obviously been burst open a few times and didn't close well. Staff were generally friendly but we had same issue with funds repeatedly being held on card and this mythical 50 euros was not a sum taken it was hundreds and at one point 3 lots, so they need to sort that out - as it is unnecessary stress. It looks like now we are home it has sorted itself out but just not what you need. On final day they accommodated late checkout but felt like they didn't tell the cleaner as she kept coming to the door!

I stayed at this hotel 2 nights ago, we enjoyed our stay until the hotel locked $2000 from my credit card to pay for the rooms which have already been paid for. The girl at the front desk was of relatively no help other than saying sorry and the funds will be released in 24hours, this was the night before we left and my funds have still not been released (72hours). I'm really disappointed in the lack of service for a matter that is not small and is completely the hotels fault. This has been very stressful and I have received no commitment from the hotel to help - essentially lumping the problem on me that was caused by them. For the service industry this is a real shame. My suggestion would be not to pre-pay for this hotel if possible as you might end up in the same situation as me with $2k out of pocket, making calls home to your bank to try and fix their issue. We had another similar issue with locking of funds for a smaller amount of which I still haven't received any refund for. The stay was good but when I'm paying this sort of money I expect better service and unfortunately I'm really disappointed by what happened.

I stayed at the Four Points for four nights earlier this month on a tourist trip to Munich. I was skeptical because of reviews that mentioned distance and construction. In reality, the hotel was close to tram lines that went into the heart of the city quickly and was surrounded by delicious inexpensive Turkish restaurants and in walking distance of an Aldi which was great for snacks and drinks since there was a fridge in the room. The tv had channels in every language and there were ample plugs near the bed and desk. Th bed was super comfortable. I heard no construction noise, even though I stayed in to work one day. The front desk staff were helpful and they had free umbrellas to use when it rained. Overall this was a fantastic place to stay in Munich and I highly recommend it.

Stayed here for 2 mights in June. Had high expectations (after the visit in Milan's Four Points by Sheraton in April), but this one in Munich disappoints after you've stayed in the same chain of hotels in Milan. The room was good and clean but not value for money. From the window of your room you directly see the construction of another building going on and it was quite close. Food on the menu is just ok, though buffet breakfast was very good. Rooms just have one small bottle of water irrespective of number of guests in the room. TV didn't work (though we didn't bother as we were traveling).
