The stay was perfect. Room has all the facilities you can possibly need, comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom. Staff is professional. Breakfast was also super ( the best we ever had ) and the service was amazing. Will definitely stay in this hotel again. Would recommend it highly. Some people may be disappointing with the neighborhood, however we never had problem.
Not only is the location of the hotel seemingly shady and unsafe, but the hotel itself is a sheer disappointment. The rooms are cramped and stuffy. There are NO ACs and hence, NO VENTILATION in the rooms. The only way to get air circulation is to open the window and bare with the noise on the street. They don't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste. The only thing good about this hotel is that it's close to the main train station but it's definitely not worth the price.
The hotel is handy to the train station and several long blocks from town center. The rooms are quite large and well done. But note: no A/C! And it was getting warm in early June. The "not so nice" part was the front desk staff our evening of arrival and second night. He seemed off put when we brought in our bicycles upon arrival but did point the way to the outside area to park them. The second evening, when the garage was closed, he seemed to chastise us for again bringing our bicycles into the lobby, saying we should ask to have the garage open. This is information that was never given to us. Then he barked out, "not there!" when he thought we were taking our bikes to the atrium and not the garage. These moments are in contrast to the wonderful warm reception we've received throughout the country over the last 2 weeks. By the way, our bikes are not cheap - $3,000 each - and we don't like to leave them on the street to go into a hotel. The hotel is in a Turkish ethnic neighborhood, which is interesting and certainly not concerning but has less German ambiance. Also, because the neighborhood population appears primarily Muslim, stores in the area don't seem to carry alcohol if you want to buy your own.
We liked this place very much.Very good breakfast and good location. The staff was more than helpful.Tip We used a cab to the Lufthansa bus at the main train station.About 11 Euros. The Lufthansa bus leaves every 15 min and it takes about 15 min to the airport 11 Euros a person
I had a room facing the inner garden so the room was quite. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable but I would wish for a larger duvet. The bathroom was of good size and also clean. The breakfast was good with good variety of food. The hotel is close to the railway station and about 10-15 minutes walk to the heart of Munich city centre.
A large room with space for suitcases, wardrobes for clothes and other things. Even space for yoga. The bathroom was also spacy enough for us I think the room had all the things I find necessary, like electric kettle, coffee, tee and nice cups to drink from and armchairs and a table. Refrigerator and safe. Good lighting. The breakfast was very good with something for all tastes. From the hotel we could walk to the train station and to restaurants and the sights of the city. It was only one thing I did not like and that is the wall to wall carpet. I prefer a floor you can clean.
I stayed at this hotel the last night of a 10 day trip to Munich & Prague. My primary reason for selecting this hotel was it's proximity to the main train station. The neighborhood between the train station and hotel is a little on the seedy side (similar to the neighborhood outside of Port Authority in New York City). I wouldn't recommend a single woman walk it alone with suitcases in tow. My recommendation is to take a cab to the hotel. That said, the contrast once you walk inside the hotel is wonderful. The hotel is clean and modern. They have a nice courtyard, which is amazingly quiet. It's hard to believe you're in the middle of an urban center. Similarly, the rooms are very clean, modern and very quiet because they face the courtyard. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and helpful. They have a great breakfast buffet with something for everyone. I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I'm in Munich.
Be sure to bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush - as I couldn't find them in the bathroom, I called down to front desk and inquired about it to be delivered. The girl told me that after checking with housekeeping (I was on the phone, she did not put me on hold and she basically just asked her colleague...), they are out of stock and are expecting delivery to arrive today or tomorrow. Ridiculous! Even for a low-budget hotel like this.. beds were terrible and not even fixed properly and constantly moving! I've slept better during camping trips on rock floors. For the toiletries, I had to run out and buy them - no shops besides casinos and whorehouses and vegetable shops! I was late for my meeting and brushed me teeth in a public toilet at the main station (closest shop open: Rewe ToGo in basement of main station)! Not worth the money nor a good review! AVOID THIS HOTEL!
This hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the train station, making it easy to get to. It's in the middle of middle eastern/Turkish area, which some review have said felt dodgy, but honestly felt totally fine, even at night. There are lots of donair shops and there was a window full of gorgeous baklava down the street. There's not a ton to do right around the hotel, but it's easy enough to get into the heart of the city from there. Our room was a standard double, though it was two single beds pushed together, not one larger bed. The bed was comfortable enough, and the pillows were good. The room had a little wear and tear but was clean and a good size. There was a mini fridge, but no safe in the room. There's no laundry at the hotel but there's a great laundromat right around the corner (City SB - Waschcenter). There's excellent wifi, and a ton of tv channels in multiple languages. The lobby is clean and bright, and there's a lovely little courtyard out the back. The complementary breakfast is excellent, one of the best I've ever had at a hotel! A huge variety of hot and cold options, pastries, fruit, and good coffee. The breakfast alone, and the nice quiet room would make me recommend this hotel.
The hotel was clean and quiet, the staff was courteous and helpful (particularly for things to see and do in the area), the buffet has to be seen to be believed (a massive selection of breakfast and lunch items, drinks, etc). The hotel was within five minutes walking distance of the city's main train station and ten minutes away from many of the city's main attractions. Price can't be beat. Very much enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.
