My third stay and this time I could try out the newly renovated section which was lovely, the lighter colours certainly adding a spacious feel. Room very clean as usual, bathroom with enough towels, toiletries and mirrors. Reception and Front Desk Staff very good, especially Petar who went the extra mile when assisting with information I needed about Sales Tax/Customs issue. Restaurant/Bar Staff always welcoming and obliging: Breakfast, an array of delicious choices, suit all tastes complemented by cheerful, very capable and prompt wait staff, quietly but efficiently headed by Ania. ****Railway Station couple minutes walk. Rail system superb and this hotel well located to take advantage of trains, including direct line to Airport.
End of October I stayed in that hotel and have to say .... We booked a room for 2 ,rooms were very small even tho .. on the their site they looked much bigger. Towels are older and blankets are very small .Breakfast was good and overall service was very good a specially guy name Peter, really saved the day . Thank you Peter
My wife and I stayed for two nights. Our stay was excellent; the staff was accommodating and friendly; the room was comfortable and clean; the location was convenient and close to public transit; the hotel restaurant and bar were very good. We had a wonderful time in Munich and would highly recommend the hotel.
Very clean and well appointed hotel, the staff were incedibly helpfull. Being close to the train station makes metro assesibitly quite easy. The room was large and had a very well designed bathroom. The road outside is quite busy but when the windows are closed the noise is sealed out of the room. Very nice stay.
Stayed for three nights beginning of October , Staying on the third floor, Outside our window Less than 3 foot away there is scaffolding with drilling starting at 7:45 every morning except Sunday , I work in construction and I'm used to noise but they are drilling into the walls of your hotel room, brought it to the receptionist attention and they said they will look into it about moving us but never heard nothing back twice I had went down to reception , it was that bad ,, On the positive side the breakfast was very good tea coffee and service at breakfast was great ,,,
I stayed at Angelo in September 2017 for a few days of Oktoberfest. Good connection with the airport (around 30 min with S8 train line to Leuchtenbergring station) and 5 min walk from the station. When exit the station via a passage go to the left. There is a sign on the wall but we missed it first time. A commercial center is located right next to the hotel. The rooms are nice, big enough and clean. Hot water all the time, heat was working well, as expected. A bottle of water was offered in the room free of charge. Even if our room faced the main road and some parts of the hotel were under re-construction, the noise was acceptable low. Personnel also very helpful, trying to answer all our questions. Breakfast was OK, enough variety of food but nothing extraordinary. Good wi-fi internet signal in all the areas I tried, free of charge. Nothing to say about the price because usually in this period everything is high priced in Munich. For the 4 days we used a visitor card that included the transport from the airport (go and return) and all the transport in the city, at around 77 Euro for two persons. It is not expensive if you consider that a single journey was 2.8 Euro and only the airport transfer by train was around 45 Euro for two persons. The city center offers a lot to visit but we enjoyed the Nymphenburg castle and the very nice park around it. With the traveler card you get small discount in different places, including the castle. Coming back to Angelo, I would definitely stay here again.
My family and I recently stayed at this very reasonable hotel for a week. It is affordable and extremely well located with two trains - S Bahn and U Bahn within easy walking distance. Lovely restaurants close by. The staff were extremely helpful, rooms comfortable and breakfast buffet delicious with great variety- really loved the traditional Bavarian weisswurst sausage. The kitchen also ensured plenty of gluten free food for my daughter. Great all round experience!
I stayed here for 3 days in September for Oktoberfest. We were greeted by a wonderful young man when we arrived and after check in he came to our room and gave us a voucher for 2 free drinks. Breakfast in the morning was superb, so much to choose from and I think it was one of the best selections I had during my time in Europe. Our room was very nice, the beds comfortable and there was no noise at all that we heard. Location was very convenient to the trains, only a 2 minute walk. Trains are very easy to navigate and we had no problems finding our way around. When we needed assistance figuring out how to get places the front desk attendants never failed. If they didn't know they always found us an answer. Upon checkout, I wanted to buy an Oktoberfest cookie as mine had broke during the last few days. The young man at front desk on afternoons never failed to impress by giving me one as well as my friend for free. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
The Angelo House is in the process of a renovation, but that kept the price more affordable during our Oktoberfest stay. The front desk staff in particular Peter and Konrad were extraordinarily kind, extremely polite and professional and very knowledgeable. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation and we stayed in an unrenovated room, however, the room was still spotless and only showing a bit of dating. Good location right next to S-Bann station and an easy commute from the Munich airport. A great value hotel with a very plentiful and yummy both European and American style breakfast. We would absolutely stay there again our next time in Munich. Thank you Peter and Konrad, it was such a pleasure to meet you!
I have stayed for 2 nights a nice view to the road. Secure as you have to use your room card to select your floor in the elevator. Quiet, nice carpets and very colourful everything. Mimibar. Spacious showers. Very easily accessible from nearby train station no need for special transport to access busy shopping malls. Staff speaks English and friendly. For the first time I had to eat burnt bacon, as hard as crushing a chicken bone. Variety of food served at breakfast.
