The evening staff, Cameron was excellent and very helpful. Great attitude and very friendly. Everything was just fine but the description and pics did not match the room. The bedroom was described as separated and shown that way in pics. The toilet was not attached, spigot for shower came out of wall and bathroom fan is falling out. Not complaining just things to fix. Morning staff was pleasant and friendly as well. Great staff
Cookies, friendly staff and very hot jacuzzi. This place was very nice.
Pool was not open. Really should inform guests of this on website.
Manager and staff are very nice! Hotel is very clean and amentites are great!
Stayed two Friday nights. First night toilet wobbled. Second night floor tiles wobbled. However it is being renovated and staff is great.
The hotel is on the way into Muncie and about 3 miles from Ball State University. There is a Hampton Inn across the street and a Fairfield Suites next door. This hotel is dated and poorly constructed. The hotel has individual wall mounted a/c units which are noisy and hard to adjust to a true comfort level. Management took my stay to repave the parking lot. Had to park across the street one night due to lack of space. Nice all weather indoor pool, friendly staff. Free breakfast was nasty with cardboard omelets. The off season price seemed high, but then I booked 10 days out.
Room was quiet, breakfast was above average, wi-fi a bit weak (1-2 bars) but free.
Clean and comfortable. Quiet A/C. Courteous and helpful staff. Pool and exercise equipment well maintained.
We stayed here for five nights while we took care of family business in Muncie. Our stay was excellent overall, there were only a few small irritations that prevent me from giving a 5 star rating. The minor irritations were: (1) As another reviewer noted, the construction quality of the building is on the low side. The shower liner in our room hadn't been set quite right, it was a little crooked. Also, in the stairwell, a couple of the stairs had uneven riser spacing which is a little disconcerting. (2) The treadmill in the fitness room was pretty low quality. (3) My father's "non-smoking" room clearly had had smokers in it, there was a definite smoke smell. Don't let these small issues deter you though. The hotel was quiet, beds were comfortable and the staff was really friendly and attentive, especially the breakfast monitor. The location was very convenient and the room rate was more than reasonable.
My boyfriend and I came into Muncie to spend the night for New Years Eve and stayed here. The ONLY complaint was that we were sent to the wrong room at first (key didn't work, someone else was in the room). It was quickly fixed and our experience overall was great. The staff was quick to help us with anything we needed and the breakfast was really good!
Nice clean hotel.
Everyone was friendly and courteous. Rooms clean and well kept. Amenities, including refrigerator, microwave, fitness center were were a welcome addition. Free hot breakfast had more variety than most, including scrambled eggs and sausage, as well as several kinds of fruits, including pears, which you don't often see.
My two teens and I stayed here for two days for the Colts training camp in nearby Anderson, IN. Hotel was very nice, quiet, and clean. Many places to eat nearby or not that far down the main drag. Indoor pool was very clean. Rooms were clean and roomy. Breakfast bar was simple but nice and varied. Would've liked a small refrigerator in room. All in all, a very nice place to stay. Would definitely stay there again.
The room I was in had a burn mark on the carpeting where a hot iron had obviously been set down. The mini refrigerator made so much noise that I had to unplug it so that I could sleep! I found at least two bugs in the room and stray hairs on a towel I had not yet touched. Breakfast in the morning was decent. I pretty much stuck to the cereal, cinnamon rolls, and yogurt. I was in Muncie because I was attending a conference at Ball State. If I go back again next year, I'm trying another hotel.
Haven't seen a CRT type TV at a HIE for awhile but a small CRT TV is about the only thing even remotely negative. Nice staff and clean room. Biscuits and gravy with eggs for breakfast was excellent. Excellent facility for a no-frills place to stay.
- Temperature in room was either Ice Cold or Steamy, no in between. - Son got cut in pool. No band aids or antiseptic wash available. - Toilet was broken. (Discovered this in the middle of the night). - You could feel the floor rock when standing by the desk.
everything is wonderful, staff was helpful and accomadating
