.....from the moment you arrive at the entrance and enter the lobby however, for the position in the city and the prestige the Trident holds, we were most disappointed with the rooms. Despite being an 'Ocean View' room therefore premium price, the room was of an adequate only size and the bathroom very small; unless one person was in the shower/bath there certainly is not room for two at the same time! Despite our booking for a twin bed ocean view room, we were offered a room at the back of the hotel thus an irritating situation arose having to try and resolve the issue and after many hours travelling from the UK, it was the very last thing we needed. Having been told that all ocean view rooms were booked out so none were available, we were eventually given one but not with twin beds. This we accepted on the promise of being moved the next day to the room we had originally booked. Quite honestly, the room did not compare to a Premier Inn room.

I spent 3 nights at the Trident and I have to stay that having stayed at many of the hotels in India and also other Trident hotels, this one is of much lower quality than what you get in other cities in India or even other hotels in Mumbai in the equivalent price range. Check in was a laborious process which took forever. I had to tell the heck in staff that I am just staying for 3 nights, not trying to buy the hotel. This in spite of the fact that he found my booking straight away. What took so long? They had assigned a smoking room to me and they were now trying to find me a non-smoking room. Bizarre when I had never booked a smoking room. The room was very tired but was clean. What is quite annoying is that even though the room had ample multi socket plugs, they were of poor quality and couldn’t even connect properly an Apple charger. I had to prop it in place with the TV remote. The wardrobe door would not shut and kept popping open. Didn’t bother me until the night when the door would pop open and the light in the wardrobe goes on. Checkout was yet another lengthy process. Only one member of staff at the checkout at 6.00am. There was someone else on the counter next to the checkout and when I asked her for help she said she is there for check in only. Ok I get the bureaucracy. Worst of all the lifts in this hotel are. Nightmare. Expect to stop on every floor and on my last evening there was a que to get into the lifts. Please. You could plan your infra structure better. At breakfast the spread is decent. However service is poor. It was hard to get the attention of the staff who were busy chatting away to each other. So I had to get up from the table and walk to two staff who were busy chatting away to ask for a coffee. I was made to feel like I was interrupting their early morning gossip. I should have apologised! I did not try any of the restaurants but the bar was decent. Stay here for convenience if you need good access to South Mumbai offices etc. I for one will be avoiding this property.

A fantastic stay-wonderful location, staff and amenities-views, breakfast, bar and restaurant. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and were delighted to be offered congratulations, a room up grade, gorgeous flowers and cake. Unfortunately we did not have time to have a spa treatment but the offer was much appreciated. All staff were excellent but Krithika and team and Fagun at the Concierge desk was exceptional. Attention to detail was exemplary. Would highly recommend a stay.

Choosing Trident Nariman Point have not been a mere coincidence. In fact I planned my stay in Mumbai very carefully considering location, security and facilities. I also read the "worst" reviews on Trip Advisor. I thought that a hotel which as a critique receives an opinion like "nothing special" has to be rally good:) And in fact it was, during all the 10 days I stayed there. Probably most of those who choose to stay at Nariman Point are there for business, hence many reviews express need for "quick fix" services without any delay. Sometimes I felt quite alone about staying there for Holiday, with other clients rushing to their meeting rooms. And it´s a pity because this hotel has much to offer for a tourist who wants to have a good rest before or after going on city tours. I appreciated the room service option for dining, since I travelled alone. And most of all, I just loved having a rest on the pool floor, watching the Manhattan-like silhouette of the city! It´s not true that there was no shadow at the pool, in fact the helpful staff by the pool helped me to place the sun bed entirely on the shadow side. I stayed there at least 4 times and there was always place for me. If one wants to avoid the at times crowded breakfast room at Frangipani, I really recommend to have breakfast at the Mexican room on the pool floor. It´s pure peace and quiet, the service very polite and quick and there is a wonderful view at the city. Once I tried breakfast at the Mexican room, I never returned for having one at Frangipani :) Of course, the ambience at a hotel is very much created by it´s staff. And what can be more important at a hotel than the cleaning personnel. I was lucky having Ms Santoshi working in my room during my hole stay at room 1731. She offered that little extra touch which really made the difference. She and her collegue made a wonderful surpsise for me, creating a swan of towels, and another time I found a bunch of roses at my table. Even if I was not a VIP person I was treated as one. Also the hotel has quite many female staff, that fact made me feel extra comfortable when for instance having room service at night. Also I have to point out that the internet was working extremely well on my both devices. I arrived in the night but in spite of the time the personnel was very helpful in connecting my iPad to the internet and did not give up until it was done. I was really thankful for that! Also, I have to express gratitude towards the concierge, as a tourist I turned to them for assistance quite often and have always received adequate advice. The one I most often had contact with there was Mr Saldanha whom I especially want to thank for tracking my "lost" parcel at Blue Dart´s! Finally I also have very good experience of the services offered right outside the entrance, from the staff who provide cars and taxis for the clients. I still remember the friendly smile of Mr Shaikh, always making sure that the driver have understood the direction to the place where I was going. It gave that extra safe feeling. If I have to say some kind of critique, it would only be that I would have liked to have access to stairs in case of not wanting to take the elevators (which indeed from time to time were overcrowded and impossible to get in to). There are stairs but in fact they are mostly used by the staff and it did not feel right to barge in there as a client.

This hotel. Trident at Nariman Point is the bestest property in Mumbai you can stay in. Such beautiful ocean view. Such helpful staff and management. I gave stated about 10 times and have never encountered any sort of discomfort. A perfect hotel. Five stars from my side.

Located right at the beginning of Marine Drive, overlooking the sea, this hotel is ideal if you need to be around the "town" in Mumbai. My room was on the 16th floor and it was fabulous. The food is great, the service decent. Overall, a good experience.

I have stayed at the Trident a number of times over the years, when organising conferences here. This hotel has excellent conference facilities and helpful staff. The rooms are beautiful with views of the sea and the queen's necklace. It is also great to go out and take a walk up to Nariman point to watch the sunset.

Besides the usual amenities which we expect from such rated hotels, what sets this apart are it's excellent location, with a great view, extremely good service, excellent food. The chef must be very good in continental and fusion menu. Stayed for a conference and had all meals there. Very good quality, variety and nice taste.

This was a great stay. Right from the check in, to the room, food, breakfast everything was really good. Lucky to get a sea facing room. The views are just super. Special mention to the service provided specially the laundry which was super fast and house keeping who did everything to perfection.

First of all thanks to central reservations Delhi for taking pains in providing accommodation inspite of hotel being packed to capacity. The reception staff especially the young but mature Mr Akash was terrific and one of the most well mannered and courteous hotel staff ever met. The other reception staff was also very friendly and positive. The hotel room, service and breakfast was very good. The hotel is at prime location. Had requested for sea facing room but due to unavailability had to stay in city facing room which did not have a good view. The negative part was the sales manager was snobbish, a bit arrogant and a bit manner less, food is extremely expensive and maintenance of the bed backside having cobwebs is required. The attitude of billing staff and guards/security staff at entrance was not encouraging.
