The worst decision I made was to trust Orbitz's ratings for the Lalit and spend my money for an 11 night stay at the hotel. The location is surrounded by non-moving traffic throughout the day. It took me 20 to 50 minutes each time to enter/exit the hotel! The staff was unprofessional, untimely and not with the times. Twice, I had staff enter my room without my permission with me being inside. Although they have a large staff just standing around and saying "Namaste" all day, no one did their tasks timely. My check in/check out took forever, getting my bags moved in/out of the place for luggage/shopping took forever. I had to go bring tools to take my own luggage out as they took forever to come. They had free wifi but the catch was it is only up to 3 devices there after you have to pay. I had to pay for my additional device, which was not clear from the beginning. The staff spoke broken english and had a hard time understanding/communicating my needs at various points throughout the 11 day stay. Many of my requests were never met on a timely basis. The only good thing about the hotel is their Balluchi Restaurant that has the most authentic Indian food in all of Mumbai. Besides that restuarant, everything else was a disappointment. I am sad that I had to waste my hard earned money at this hotel. It was the worst part of my trip to Mumbai - staying at this hotel :( I had great hopes and expectations based on the reviews and ratings from Orbitz, but I was so easily let down!!!

Pleasant stay, very helpful staff and great breakfast brunch. I would recommend if you are looking for a very nice hotel and very helpful staff should try out.

The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the staff is extremely professional. It's also very, very close to the international airport.

I was unable to complete my trip due to visa issue so I cannot comment on the hotel services, however, the hotel policy needs to be reviewed and revised. After the cancellation of my trip I was told on several email communications with LaLit of possibly issuing a refund or credit for future use upon my rescheduling. The final decision by LaLit was no refund, no credit. I believe this is bad policy of the hotel because there are times when circumstances are out of the guests control and a penalty should not be charged. I gave timely notice prior to scheduled check in for the hotel to reserve the room for other potential guests. I was not expecting refund but at least credit towards the use at a later date. Good customer service creates satisfied guests which creates referrals and generates new business. I cannot in good faith refer this hotel if there is no concern for the comfort and satisfaction of the guests.

nice hotel and only minutes from the airport

bad hotel policy
