My room had a great view over the sea and was spacious, modern and had all mod-cons. Wi-fi was good and service attentive. It was a treat to enjoy coffee in bed while gazing at the water. Rooftop bar is a nice place to unwind and get a good view of "The Queens Necklace". Thank you to the staff for all the hospitality. #followme in Insta, Twitter and Facebook #suchanabera for more updates
Supposed to be a luxury family weekend break, but I spent most of it wishing I'd booked into the Taj. I am an IHG Royal Ambassador and stay at InterCons in most cities - this is a basic low budget hotel pretending to be an InterContinental, it is not value for money and the general service level is poor. Rooms - in need of refurb, old and tired Dinner - needed to prompt waiters for service, food was mediocre and overpriced Breakfast - hard to find waiters, slow coffee service, 60min wait for pancakes ... but the buffet food was OK Roof Bar - told no reservations but unable to get a seat due to reserved tables for 'special' guests - I'm an IHG Royal Ambassador! Pricing - rooms priced in dollars but have to pay in rupees with hotel's added 5% commission charge The Business Lounge - is a small cupboard with PCs dating from the 1990s Music - a loud rooftop disco runs to the early hours at weekends, rooms on higher floors have no sound proofing, don't expect any sleep before 0130 Location - the one positive, located on the Queen's necklace a short walk from cricket ground and train stations
Had an unexpected 12 hour layover in Mumbai, and the hotel was very gracious. Bed was comfortable, nice shower, and French press coffee in the room was outstanding. It was a treat to enjoy coffee in bed while gazing at the water. Rooftop bar is a nice place to unwind and get a good view of "The Queens Necklace". Thank you to the staff for your hospitality. Would recommend.
It is a 2 minute walk to the stadium where we watched a great IPL Cricket game-- which considering Mumbai traffic at the best of times is a real bonus. Our room had a great view over the sea and was spacious, modern and had all mod-cons. Wi-fi was good and service attentive. The roof top pool was small but ideal for a quick dip and with the adjacent roof top bar offered great views again.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Could not fault the location, views, size of room. Breakfast was fine and thanks to the very attentive Mark was most enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Now the not so good. Internet was chargeable and expensive. Free if you are a member of intercontinental rewards. Which we discovered was free to join but were only told this on the eve of our departure. Rooms, although large are tired. Services are non existent. The room next door had a breakfast tray waiting for collection for over 10 hours. The light switches in the room are touch panel and work sporadically. Laundry had to be chased up as not delivered when promised. Rooftop pool suitable for relaxing with great views. Amazing drinks area where you could watch the sunset on comfortable seating. HOWEVER, we went up there on our final afternoon only to be told it was being prepared for a private function. We had not been warned about this! I made a point of saying that as guests we should have been notified about this so our plans could have been changed. As a gesture complimentary drinks were provided. So not too bad.
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The views from the rooftop pool and the breakfast terrace were just amazing! My room was big and nicely designed. The staff was very kind and the service was really good. I loved the rooftop bar and food served there was really delicious. The only thing that could be improved is the wifi signal at the rooftop pool as well as the hygiene at the pool: it could be a lot cleaner. The hotel car was also too expensive. I would nonetheless definitely come back.
My wife and I stayed here for one night while we were in town on a business visit. Close to Nariman point business district and being located on Marine Drive with its fantastic ocean view you have the best of both worlds. The service was fantastic the staff and the front office Duty Manager made every effort to make sure our stay was very comfortable. We will certainly return to this hotel if we ever come back to the city.
