Recently back from a long trip of India, stayed in many beautiful properties Oberois, Leelas, Taj, etc.. After a horrible experience with The Imperial New Delhi we ended up staying one of the most inviting and welcoming properties of our life, Oberoi Delhi. In contrast to The Imperial New Delhi, Oberoi has most welcoming staff, upgraded us realizing that I have 12 years old that may need extra bed and room I booked was too small for that. took good care of us and my kids. My Kids loved Oberoi so much that we made sure we stay at Oberoi everywhere else we went in India, Udaipur, Mumbai etc..
From a past visit to Mumbai, we knew the Oberoi was a great luxury hotel. The food was excellent, especially as we really enjoy Indian cuisine. We “connected” with a chef in their Indian restaurant (Ziya), and he guided us to some very tasty dishes. He also took us under his wing for breakfast, choosing local dishes for us off the menu. None was available at the buffet as their goal was to have the specialty food freshly prepared. The room was first class.
Every one was so polite and friendly. Excellent breakfast and great dining. Could not ask for more.
Oberoi in Mumbai is the finest hotel in the city. By a long margin. Everything - service, rooms, ambience, restaurants - are top notch.
Excellent hotel, wonderful staff, great butler. Best hotel we have stayed in
Stayed for five nights. Room was updated, quiet, bed was very comfortable. Excellent room service including nightly take down service.
It was a great hotel with awesome service. The staff was always ready to give a helping hand. Rohit made our stay memorable with an upgrade to the suite with sea view. Breakfast at Fenix was excellent. Staff was very helpful at pool, gym, Fenix, housekeeping and in the lobby. Would love to stay again and experience the same service. The room is spacious and equipped with all modern amenities.
This is a really nice hotel with the friendliest and a staff that is the most helpful as I have ever seen in my travels. However, the advert says they have a hotel shuttle; they do not. They can arrange a shuttle for you that costs close to three times an air conditioned cab ride. They do have Wifi; however, you have to pay for it after the first 30 minutes. Also, their pool was closed for maintenance. As I said, this is a very nice place; the best staff I have ever experienced. Just understand about the two things listed.
