We saw four roaches in the 90 minutes we had the lights on. The AC did not work. Even though the room was prepaid, the staff came to the room at one in the morning asking about payment of the bill. Not recommended.
Location is near to the gateway of India but it's room is very bad. Fishy smell are everywhere and it's not a hotel actually. Toilet tissue is also unavaile and service is worst ever. Reception area is so narrow that three people accommodation is very difficult.
I took 4 family rooms to stay my family guests. These are large enough. The guests were satisfied with service. The hotel does not provide room service other than tea. However, you can order from outside, based on some menu of nearby restaurants. The hotel is value for money.
Location is good, however ,the rooms are costly for the price.Parking in open public space. No canteen .Only one bottle of water provided free for three days of stay. Open cupboards and very small toilet. One chair provided with a table whose height was lower than table.
If you aren't perturbed by dirty sheets and enjoy arguing with staff every time you walk through reception, then the Blue Bird Hotel is the place for you! During our 25 minute check-in process, we were told that our reservation didn't exist, even though we could clearly see our name written on a printout in front of the receptionist. Once we had established that we had a reservation, they told us we needed to pay up in cash, despite already having paid. This was a theme of our stay in the Blue Bird, as they reminded us we needed to pay in cash every time we walked through reception. The rooms were not clean. The sheets were stained. Room 112 is odd, the mirrored walls and circular bed may not be to every guest's taste. Overall the location is great and the rooms are spacious. It's quiet at night. The beds are comfortable. The corridors and sheets need to be cleaner and the staff more helpful and friendly.
Arrived at 7.00 am, booked because I thought I would be able to get an airport transfer but they told me to book a taxi instead. Arrived to what I assume was the manager asleep opposite the reception desk, he was awoken by his other staff and took ages to find my booking - I had to find it for him in the end! Was mega surly and rude the whole time - I had booked for the night before my arrival as well as the day I was actually there - so they seemed confused as to why I had turned up at this time... I had been emailling trying to find out whether it was neccesary to book both nights as I was arriving so early to no reply so I just booked both! Got into my room, no wifi signal and no windows but clean and spacious. There was hot water in the shower I just had to figure out how to turn the boiler on! I slept most of the day but was awoken by a loud phone call from reception saying something about my booking even though i had booked for that night??? Ended up booking an extra night as I couldn't find anywhere else to stay in mumbai which was a bit of a nightmare cause they only take cash! Upon leaving they tried to charge me for 3 extra bottles of water which i had not ordered nor had been delivered to me! Room was not cleaned once in the 3 nights I was there, hallways smells horrible!! Other staff (in blue polo shirts) apart from the manager guy were very sweet and attentive though and the room was spacious and clean with aircon.
We were told on arrival that there was no record of our booking (we booked 7 nights online back in May). They offered us a room for one night, which was in a poor state. No natural light, a buzzing AC unit, dirty bathroom with no hot water at all. If the room rate was on the cheap side, we would accept the errors and lack of facilities... but at £32 (with no breakfast) we were massively disappointed. This was our first night in India. Welcome! On checking out, we were told that they accept cash only. Recent 'demonetisation' exercise means ATMs only give 2000 rupees (£24) per day. Many ATMs are empty or out of order because of the old/new note fiasco. Three hours later we finally came to an agreement with the kind reception (they are the only reason this place gets one star). We left the hotel at 2pm, starving hungry, fed up, cashless, and having to find another hotel for our remaining 6 nights in Mumbai. Terrible. Avoid.
Well located, and very well known in the locality, this is a perfect place to stay if you are on budget mode South Mumbai essentially is an expensive place to stay This is one of the odd-man out The locality is very safe, so the hotel is great for even women groups to stay. Close to important business & tourist attractions, and well connected by multiple road options to other part of the city Aithough the hotel lacks restaurant, close-by eateries & excellent room delivery makes up for it The staff is very courteous that makes this place all-comforting
12 inch thick concrete walls mean u need to leave your room to get good wifi. Lots of life nearby, that starts after 9 am and goes on to 9 pm. Place seems a bit chaotic, but works for all that. Not the Ritz but costs less too.
Hitel blue bird situated close to the colaba market. Almost everything is on walking distance only. Rooms are ok as per price. Washroom is little small. Best part, u came outside and u will find CCD there. Wifi works very good. Staff also is helpful.
