The other recent reviews are accurate. Service was very nice but the quality of the hotel is severely lacking. The rooms are kind of gross. Doors have a big draft. Heating system is so loud you can’t even hear the tv. It’s not horrible for a quick one night stay but would likely stay else where when we are back, plenty of other hotels in the area.

Marriott should be more careful with their brand. Upon arrival into my room it smelled of garbage. It seems there was garbage in the disposal from a previous guest that the cleaning staff didn't check. Nor did they check for the leftover food in the refrigerator. Don't need to see someone's leftovers. Dishwasher packets were opened and apparently refilled it appeared to be numerous times (makes you wonder if they picked them out of the trash). Stain on top of sofa that could have been spot cleaned. Scuff marks on walls in bedroom and living room. Shampoo bottle was half full. Mold on grout in tub area. Room was just nasty. Avoid it if you can. I unfortunately didn't have much choice. Bedding appeared to be clean so I stayed one night since I had no transportation.

I stayed recently and this is one of the older versions of the Residence Inn. There was a community reception the day I checked in with Pulled Pork, beans and cole slaw. Very welcoming and the room was ample sized and clean. Problem I had was with the heating system right over my head at the bed....too much air flow trying to sleep. Also the place did look old and I may not return. Staff was nice as the highlight!

I’m a Marriott fan and even more, a Residence Inn fan. I love the extra space, the townhouse style layout and the rooms themselves which I think are designed quite well. Unfortunately, this hotel is quite a disappointment to the Residence Inn brand. We booked two nights, in a studio with two doubles. We got what we reserved. My wife and I would be arriving separately as I was coming from work and she from home with our daughter. We weren’t sure who would arrive first so I contacted the hotel via the chat option (which is a joke) to explain the situation and make sure it would be okay that my wife received the room keys since we did mobile check-in (another joke from Marriott). They assured me it would be fine. My wife arrived first and went to check-in. The reservation had to then be changed to her name and she had to give a credit card. As a Marriott Gold Elite member, I would have expected a simple check of her ID and a handover of the keys. No, they had to change everything. When I arrived, I had to go to the front desk to give my Marriott credit card and change the name on the reservation again to receive the proper rewards points. That didn’t happen and I still await a name change on my bill from the hotel. Now for the room and its problems: the front door did not close unless you slammed it, the second security lock was hanging from the wall basically unusable, when the heat came on it sounded like a freight train coming in the room, the shower took up to 3 minutes to get hot water (how much water was wasted??), and then came the big problem: the toilet did not flush properly. We noticed it when we first used it and my wife commented that the toilet flushed slowly. I shrugged it off. Housekeeping came to our room the next day while we were in the room and I asked the housekeeper (who was very nice!!!) to just take the garbage and clean the bathroom. After she was done, we went to leave the room and my daughter used the toilet. It was clogged. I went to the front desk and asked them to fix it. We came back several hours later, used the toilet twice and it became clogged again. I went to the front desk to be told that there was nobody from maintenance in and they could change my room. Do you really want to change your room during the second night and move all of your stuff once you’re settled in? NO!! I asked for a plunger and went to fix it myself. After more than 30 plunges, and being splashed on my pants by toilet water, I gave up. I told my wife and daughter that they would have to use the public toilet in the main office. The next morning I called the front desk at 8am and asked to please send maintenance over to fix it. I was told that maintenance would not be in until between 11 and 12. The front desk offered me another room to at least use the toilet. Of course, I accepted the offer. We needed a toilet!! They gave us a nice two bedroom suite to use the toilet. Shouldn’t I have been offered this room upon check-in since I was an eligible elite member for an upgrade? Maybe an upgrade was not available when my wife checked us in. All in all, a very disappointing stay. The staff were pleasant and I cannot say anything negative about them. The free breakfast is the Marriott standard so it was fine. I still await a new invoice from the hotel with my name on it, otherwise I will not receive the proper Marriott Rewards credits. This hotel needs some investment in the rooms to improve them. Here’s the real kicker: about an hour after check-in, we received an email from Marriott asking if we still needed a room in Cherry Hill. The email stated that rooms were still available at this same hotel at a cheaper rate than what we were paying!!! Sorry, Marriott, you screwed up this visit. Would I stay here again? I think I’ll keep looking for another property elsewhere.

I've stayed at many Marriott properties over the years. This is the first where I would tell people - Avoid at all cost. Go somewhere else. The hotel is currently under renovation. I can understand some things not being up-to-stuff as a hotel renovates, but most of the issues we faced at the hotel were *NOT* related to renovations. Rather than write an essay, I'll just list some of the problems we had with our bedroom plus loft suite: 1) Doors were filthy and looked like they had not been cleaned in years. Photos will be attached to this review. 2) Handle to door to bathroom was falling off - we were afraid we would be locked inside (photo attached). 3) Bathroom in loft - light above sink did not work. Hotel desk sent someone out to fix. He came back reporting "fixed light above kitchen sink". We complained a second time and were told it was fixed. Nope - it wasn't. 4) Bathroom downstairs - Water was stuck in "off" position. Had to push it really hard to get it to turn. Once we got it working, water temp would not stay in a comfortable position - pointing to the side. Gravity would slowly pull it to point down which was way too hot. We could also leave it pointing straight up which was way too cold. We were told it would be fixed. It was not. 5) There were no hairdryers in either bathroom so we had to go out with wet hair (no inside corridor) to get one from the desk. 6) Stains on bedroom floor and a soda bottle cap was on the floor when we arrived (Friday night). Not sure how the maid missed it as it was right near the large stain on the floor. We did not pick it up. Neither did the maid when they cleaned the room on Saturday night. 7) There was writing on the wall / ceiling in two locations. Note that this looked old and appeared to have nothing to do with a renovation. Phots will be included 8) Breakfast was exactly the same both days except day 2 (Sunday), most of the fruit was gone and the coffee ran out. 9) Garbage was strewn about the property. OK -it's winter and there's construction, but if I saw the many pieces of garbage, so did the hotel employees. None picked it up. 10) Had to almost force the front door open to get in. 11) Front door was held together with electrical tape (photo included). 12) Front door was not on even - you could see daylight (and feel the breeze) under the right side of the door. ...I can write more, but why bother. Look at my photos and decide if you would ever stay here.

Very nice staff, great layout for the townhouses, and ample parking. Uneven heating because of the high ceilings and open concept but the ceiling fan helps. Skimpy bed linens and no extras provided in the unit so be sure to ask early for another layer if it’s cold out. The worst part was the housekeeping. I felt nauseous at some point and looked in the kitchen for salt. Was grossed out to find dried red sauce all over the bottom of the salt shaker. Looked to the right and left and found a dirty coffee pot with water and floating debris in it, a dirty stovetop and a dirty microwave. I then checked the bed linens and things seemed to be ok but I called the front desk and spoke to John. I let him know what I found and he was quite sincere in his apology and adjusted my rate. I was still skeeved out and have no intention of returning but I appreciate his empathy and kindness. Housekeeping changes need to be made immediately and whomever is in charge should be addressed and trained to ensure this property meets Marriott standards.

I had stupidly booked what seemed like a good deal on line-a two bedroom, "two level" suite. when we got there, due to on site construction and plastic fencing everywhere, we could not access the room. We were given a room instead on the first floor (one bedroom, not two) which seemed not to be maintained very well-broken coffee maker, alarm clock and very little toilet paper. Staff seemed not to care a whole lot. would recommend many of the other hotels near I -95, not this out of the way place which really isn't worth it. Also lots of noise-seemed like a convention of gorillas (lots of jumping up and down) was meeting upstairs.

My wife, son, daughter and I stayed here in December 2017. The hotel is located near Route 70 and very convenient for driving into Philadelphia or to the Jersey Shore. I would recommend getting exact directions for being on the lookout for the exit to Old Cuthbert Road and the hotel. The check-in desk and Filipino lady were very nice. Our room had a kitchen, comfortable beds but on the small side, a couch, and an adequate shower and bathroom. The only negative comment I have is the heater is near the bed so the noise from the heater kept me up during the night. My family said that breakfast was very good. I consider that this hotel is quite good for an overnight stay while you are on the road.

Why do so many hotels seem to be awful about pets. We have a 6 lb chiquaqua who never makes a mess at all. This hotel advertised “we welcome pets” - they do - for $100 a pet - not a DEPOST but $100. Our room was $100 and the dog was charged $100. There were no restaurants any where near the hotel. The room was nice and comfortable and well appointed. The check-in person had a horrible cough and was constantly excusing herself to go into another room to hack up a lung. We ordered pizza for dinner because we don’t leave the pet alone. We were there for 8.5 hours for $200, no restaurant, no ice machines. All in all, I would not stay here again. The rest of the pet policies have been either a nominal charge like $15 or nothing. Or a deposit which we are happy to pay. But $100 is outrageous when it is for “extra cleaning” which you and I know no one did.

The staff was wonderful! I have stayed at over 60 Marriott property's over the last 8 years and this staff is the best. We were in town to attend the Army Navy Game. The staff welcomed ever guest with warm welcome and even BBQ for guest. I would have given the Hotel 5 stars but the room did not rate 5 stars. I believe they are remodeling rooms. Hopefully the new rooms will be as good as the staff.
