Great place to vacation!!
From when I arrived, all the staff greeted me. They were nice and friendly, mostly, interested in me as a person. The drinks and food was very tasty and good sizes. The hotel had a mixture of old world charm and new up grades. It was very cosy feel to sit with a book or enjoy activity of the 2 pools or 2 golf courses. I had a great time and look forward to the next time.

We chose this property as the reviews shared positive comments about the facility and although the room/bed was comfy, the gym was dirty, machines old and TV's not working so wasted 30 minutes for all the wrong reasons - which is what the website showed as very nice! And the front desk could have cared less.

Hotel and grounds were beautiful. Old historic feel but updated well maintained comfortable rooms. Grounds are very nice-lovely gardens. Outside pool is very nice and my teens enjoyed the pool table and ping pong in the rec room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there for the a basketball tournanment at Atlantic City convention center which was only about a 15 minute drive.

It was really great five years ago but when I came back it felt more crowded, more expensive, and the rooms were not as nice in terms of condition. The moulding was patchy, cracks on the ceiling, not as clean as it used to be.

The staff made the trip very enjoyable because they were nice. The rooms were clean and smelled fresh. The only thing that needs improvement in my opinion, is the pool area. The bugs were bighting vigorously. Maybe invest in some type of bug repellent or something, I’m not for sure what to do about it, but that was the only complaint that I have.

Memorable and I'll be back
It's a charming hotel that mixes it's heritage with new flair. I personally liked the older aspects of the hotel, gave it a uniqueness that the common holiday inns don't have. I read the reviews beforehand and still decided to try it. The AC is more than adequate but requires you the guest to adjust it to your liking. Some reviews complained about the AC. The place was memorable and I will be back again.
