Stopped here for a 1 night stay. The room was clean but poorly maintained, the bathroom door had been repaired and sanded but not painted the fridge door was rusty and the front blew in the wind and needed tissues to be jammed in the trim to stop the noise. The rooms have thin walls and the neighbouring rooms air conditioners could be heard through the walls. Overall a poor nights sleep on very soft mattresses and we will not return.
Room was spacious and clean. Jug and toaster provided but no crockery except for mandatory cup/saucers, jug difficult to fill due to angle of tap v vanity bowl. Plenty of parking. Reasonably close to town centre and with comfortable bedding coupled with a competitive overnight rate, it made for an easy one night stopover after long journey.
Unfortunately service attitude and motel has dropped off after being taken oven by new owners, their attitude to guests needs have diminished by the week today after booking at 10am advised no meals available for a comfort inn motel this is extremly disappointing as well as changing room service menues and removing main dinner items from room menues it no longer services the needs of the traveller. Hope after enough reviews they will change the direction i previously stayed in the other motel and certainly so ot expect this to happen
After a long journey from Melbourne we arrived at 9:30 and they kindly left a key for us to check in as reception was closed. Very welcoming and dog friendly... even took our dogs name! Rooms were clean and basic, if a little dated.Aircon very noisy yet effective. They serve breakfast which was lovely. Huge portions and really tasty. Omelette with chorizo was so tasty. Good place for stop off. Oh and have a pool it never used it.
Had two rooms here for an overnight stop. One was painted bright red! Not a very restful colour. Adequate accommodation but rooms and bathrooms in need of refurbishment and updating. Rooms clean and bed comfortable so OK.
Stayed here for one night on our way to Apollo Bay and glad it wasn't for any longer. The room was OK but very basic. A toaster and kettle were provided but no plates or cutlery if you made toast and no sink to wash up in. Also struggled to fill the kettle from the bathroom sink. The bathroom could have done with updating. The shower was in the bath and was that powerful it hurt! Not sure if that's good or bad depending on what you like. On a plus side we had a decent nights sleep in the bed. Fiona & Elaine UK
Stayed 1 night in this motel. Large rooms . Motel starting renovations by sign in rooms. Bathroom desperately in need of a good fan as condensation is a real problem. Mattresses need replacing but all in all once renovated I think it will be great for a stop over. Very friendly staff and Parking great.
Stayed here two nights for work, the room was comfortable, clean, the bed was very comfortable. Room was a bit cold for a start, but then once the heater got working (split system) the room was at a comfortable temperature, and with the addition of electric blankets it was a warm and welcoming bed! Convenient location, not too close to town for the traffic, but close enough to be at my destination in a few minutes, was very welcome. Low noise, large parking areas, clean towels, clean rooms, a little dated interior wise but still very comfortable. TV worked well, I thought there was meant to be foxtel/austar, from the hotel's own sites, but none in the room, however there was enough on normal television for that to not be a issue. Shower was luxurious in size and in temperature/water, bathroom was quite suitable for use and spotlessly clean. Overall I would happily stay again without a thought to other places. Good place to base yourself and have a look around Mount Gambier as well, plenty to see and do here, great shopping and interesting natural features (sinkholes, blue lake and gardens)
Moved here after an unfortunate night at another motel in town & glad we did. Although this accom is a bit dated it was lovely & clean - no mould which was a plus after our previous night & the rooms were not shoebox size but quite large & also had easy parking. Staff were attentive & helpful & we were so pleased we moved!
The location was easy to find & the parking was plentiful so no squeezy type parking. The rooms although getting old were really large with a great sized bathroom & most importantly to us - were spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable, linen spotless & the towels were ok too. Reception staff were helpful & had good knowledge of where to go & what to see. An overall pleasant stay!
