Stayed there for a week and it was a pleasure getting to our hotel as it was visitrin Moscow. This hotel is not only beautiful regarding its architecture, but the service is impeccable! We enjoyed our visit there and had a flawless stay at the hotel. It is a few blocks aways from red square and just half a block from Bolshoi Theater. I am sure this option, if in range, will be a haven for your stay un Moscow. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
A great hotel with very nice interior and a good location to reach the city center with a longer walk. Everything is clean and spacious in the rooms with some fitting/installing problem (avarage in Russia). A single bed would be enough for a couple too, it is 160 cm wide. You can choose from very wide selection at the breakfast, but everything I tried was great. From 6 to 11 AM you can have your breakfast comfortably. It you need Taxi, it will be cheaper if you order yourself, not asking the receptionist to do it for you. But the subway station is close, and you can reach the Red Square within 20-25 minutes even by foot. It was a little bit noisy at the night, maybe some kind of renovation or construction was in progres then (according the knocker sounds). I had problem with our room (for two persons) key card, one worked with the door only, the other worked with the elevator only.
Positives Well located - 30 mins walk from red square and next to a couple of metro stations. Swimming pool sauna jacuzzi and fitness centre, kept clean and open long hours Breakfast - plentiful and good service Food quality - we ate in lobby bar a couple of times and although menu was limited the food was very very good. Service overall - nice English speaking staff Negatives Service bar - on New Year’s Eve we waited a very long time to get served Water - there were 2 bottles of water in room, one for free and one to pay, we did not realise this and were charged 1100 rubles for water at checkout! Decor - classic in style but some aspects looking a bit dated.
Good Hotel for Business Travellers. Courteous Staff. Speaks English and Helpful for travellers from non Russian Speaking countries. Good food and facilities. Slightly Overcrowded but good lounges for business meetings.
I have logged a few dozen nights at this hotel. Overall the location is great for both tourists and while on business. What stands out though is the amazing service at the Executive lounge by Lidia and Maria. These two really go out of their way to help all guests enjoy their stay.
The hotel has a perfect location, it is very close to the red square. The service is nice and hotel staff are very friendly. Comfortable rooms. Relaxing. We also quite enjoyed the executive lounge, excellent service there. I will still choose this hotel the next time that I come to Moscow.
Greatly enjoyed staying here for my second visit. They have a great gym, which isnt very common for hotels, especially large chain hotels. The staff are quite friendly and the english-language channel selection on the tv isnt bad. The breakfast buffet is nice. I liked the shops in the lower lobby. Overall a very pleasant stay!
If you looking for a hotel that is easy walking distance to major attractions, extremely well maintained and even has an in door pool, this is the hotel for you. We landed in Moscow and opted to use the Aero Express from the airport. Its the fastest and cheapest way to the city and is just a few stops on the local connecting train to get to 200 meters from the hotel. The hotel is a grand old lady with a piano player performing each evening in the foyer and a lovely lounge to relax. It's spotless and comfortable and the staff are polite. Taking a warm dip i the pool at the end of many hours of walking the streets is a real treat. There is a lovely bakery/cafe just 10 meters down the road with lots of cafes to stop by on the way to red square. There is even a supermarket a few minutes away where you can buy some treats for your walks or simply some water/wine to quench your thirst. We loved Moscow and would stay again at the Moscow Grand Hotel.
This is an excellent hotel, it a bit far from the center of town, if that is not a problem for you then you can't go wrong here. Excellent service, excellent rooms. We didn't get a chance to try the restaurant or the bar, but if looks are anything to go by they are also excellent. If you don't like crowds then this is probably not a hotel for you, when we where there there seemed to be lots of coaches out front and the foyer was busy to say the least, it was good to see the fly crew from our plane checking in to the hotel
My self partner and Daughter stayed here for 5 nights. Our room had 2 double beds plenty of storage for cloths, bathroom was a fab size, there was tea and coffee in the room. We each had a robe and slippers. Check in was speedy and easy. The bell boy took our luggage to our room, his English was excellent, in actual fact everyone I spoke to had very good English. All staff that I spoke to were all very helpful, friendly, the hotel every where was very clean, if I were to return to Moscow I would stay here again, as it is in a great location for getting around Moscow.
