Marriott Moscow Grand Hotel5.0 out of 5.0

The Marriott Grand is conveniently located to Red Square and shopping. The decor is dated but fresh if that makes sense. Staff can be a bit gruff at times. We took a tour of the metro system. I highly recommend. Obviously red square is a must and the “Goom” (Spelling) It is a premier shopping area. Beautiful. Enjoy!
Been to this hotel in September for 2 weeks with some of my colleague from US and i would like to recommend this hotel as this serves best overall services which is require for business meetings & related preparations. Pros 1. Hotel is near to Red square 2. Room service offers wide range of menu 3. Quick & efficient employees 4. Rooms are very clean & well maintained everyday 5. Hotel in middle of the city hence nearby restaurants & bars 6. Nice lobby & the guys who play Piano everyday ! Cons 1. Lifts inside Hotel some times too busy 2. People waiting for room should be managed in different area as this restrict the movement of existing guest while reaching to lifts. 3. Anti slippery mattress should be applied inside bathrooms, between Bath tub & Wash basin
Second time in this hotel this year. Very good food and excellent clean room. Like all hotels it only becomes special when the staff go out of the way to make your stay comfortable. Thanks to some like Victoria in the restaurant this hotel becomes very special.
Impressive looking building, well designed and finished inside, and a pretty good location for checking out central Moscow. One of the best Marriotts I have visited! On a business trip, so food was mostly buffet - the beef items were excellent.
We spent four days in Moscow and really enjoyed our time in the hotel. We found the staff especially caring and good. We stayed in the concierge level and had our breakfast and dinner in the eighth floor lounge. The food was quite good with a good variety. Especially nice was that the food was changed every day so we got some variety day to day. The staff were dry caring making sure that we had what we needed. The room was large and pleasant and the location convenient to both the metro and to red square. The only downside was our first night the heat was not working and it was quite chilly in our room. The hotel was out of space heaters but promptly brought us extra blankets. Still was a chilly first night in an otherwise very warm experience.
As you would expect from a Marriot, fairly corporate marble chintzy lobby. Check in was OK (bit slow) and room was nice (very comfy bed and nice bathroom). Breakfast was a huge selection with loads of options, but massively overpriced (circa £26pp). If you just want a coffee and a croissant, then I would suggest Starbucks or the McDonald's at Pushkin Sq - just a 5 minute walk turning left up Tverskaya Street towards Red Square. Fantastic location for Red Square and the Kremlin - oodles of history on your doorstep. There are better value option available throughout Moscow, but you'll be pushed to find a better location.
I enjoyed staying there very much. Breakfast is really good, with a lot of options for any taste and many type of fruits for veggies. Stuff are friendly and speaks English well. Natalia is really helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is also good. Some walks to red square and close to metro station. It was my mother's birthday and they left us a tasty chocolate cake with a happy birthday message, it was so lovely.
We spent three nights at the Moscow Marriott Grand Hotel during a recent trip to Russia. The hotel is located in an upscale and safe area of Moscow. It is easy to get around Moscow from the hotel - a beautiful metro station is a two block walk away. One block from the hotel is a Starbucks. Next door to the Starbucks is an upscale grocery store with everything from basic necessities to caviar, wine and liquor, an extensive bakery, and prepared food and sandwiches. It’s also a great place to buy bottled water should you need it (the hotel provides 2 bottles per day.) The hotel itself offers a pool and spa, free Wi-Fi, English speaking concierge service, a car service, and a very extensive breakfast buffet with made to order eggs, an array of hot dishes, fruits, cheeses, meats, cereals and Russian breakfast items. The rooms are normal for a Marriott – bed, desk, sofa, table, and chair. The bedding and pillows are comfortable. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the amenities (including the toilet paper) were nice. The room has a safe and a for-pay mini bar/refrigerator. Robes, slippers and hairdryers were available. Television has English speaking CNN news coverage – something we appreciated as Hurricane Irma was raging at our house while we were in Russia. All in all, a great stay. I would definitely stay here again.
Spent two days in Moscow and choose Marriott Grand. Never regretted the decision. Wonderful hotel with perfect location. Walking distance to most of the city's points of interest. Good breakfast and helpful and accommodating staff. Recommended.
