Beautiful decoration in common areas. Room quiet spacious, very clean and comfortable. The bed was a plus! Staff is very friendly, concierge helped us to make a great restaurant reservation, to which we received a negative without help.
I love this hotel! It has a great spa and salon, where I get my hair styled while in Moscow. I feel very safe while staying here, as the hotel has very good security. The staff is very kind and helpful and speaks very good English. The are many stores close by, including a grocery store. Room Service is great! Looking forward to my next stay in July!
we spent three nights here in early june. the service is definitely Marriott standard - adequate! have no complaints! I booked their pre-purchase rate at less than 90$ a night all in, I was shocked. tourism in Moscow needs a big boost I guess. the good: - location, 2km from the red square and kremlin with an easy walk on tverskaya ave., a few hundred meters from mayakovskaya metro station - friendly and helpful staff - in a historical building, decorated nicely - rooms are well appointed - wifi works great - nice breakfast with varieties the bad: - construction around the hotel, but i can't blame this on the hotel - drink choices at executive lounge are very limited
This hotel is just crazy amazing ! I have nothing to say bad about it . First of all it's well located next to the red square. If you book in advance you just get an amazing price. It's extremely clean , everywhere ! The room is big and quiet. And to finish , they have a fitness and a pool and a jacuzzi ! I highly recommend this hotel for its ratio quality/price !
Nice hotel, little bit tired , need renovation Good location Staff not very helpful and not very friendly Spa ( swimming pool ) 24/7 :) but staff did not speak English or Russian :)) Comfy bed , nice tv , but there is no socket near mirror, so not very handy Overall good
Nice, very clean hotel. We got early check-in and the room type requested. All in room requested were delivered with the speed of light. Negatives: ice machines did not work anywhere and there were no signs on them. My Marriott gift card was not accepted - they did not know how to process it. Also, they forgot to lock the wet bar after previous guest and some staff member just barged in to our room to lock it like we are a bunch of drunks waiting for free alcohol.
My friend and I booked this hotel for our last night stay in Moscow. At check-in we were told by the receptionist that the twin room we had booked, would not be ready for another 30 minutes. Her attitude was rude and unapologetic. We were told that as we had booked through a third-party our request for a twin room could not be guaranteed. We were also told that there is only 1 twin room in the hotel - which I find very hard to believe. Also, we have used this third-party many times previously and have never come across an issue with booking a twin room. Anyway, we were told to wait in reception and they would call us when the room was ready. We waited for over 40 minutes and then went over to ask about the room. Still we were told that it was not ready. We waited a further 20 minutes before asking them again. When we asked this time the room was actually ready. They had not even bothered to come and tell us. This is 1 of 3 hotels that we stayed in during out trip to Russia. The customer service we received here was completely unsatisfactory. We waited over an hour before we could actually check into our room. The was no apology from any of the reception staff. Their overall attitude was rude and hostile. They clearly need to be re-trained on basic customer service skills. If my rating was purely based on the service received I would have given a 1 star rating. However the room itself was a decent size and the hotel is conveniently located.
The room was spacious with comfortable bed. The ac worked well. The free Wifi was reliable with great speed. The breakfast buffet was satisfactory and the waitstaff were very efficient in clearing plates. The location was good. A supermarket is within 5 mins walk and the subway station was close by.. This hotel had a few large tour groups staying. The lobby was quite busy at all times. Overall a good stay.
We stayed at the Marriott Grand for 4 nights. Everything about our stay was excellent. Our first impression was very positive because the people on reception were so welcoming and helpful. The rooms were well sized and well equipped. Breakfast was fantastic - so much choice and everything was kept topped up. The hotel is in an excellent location - we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We are already planning a return trip to Moscow and will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for service and location.
We stayed for four nights for our first visit to Moscow. The staff was excellent - check in was smooth and quick (with the exception of room keys that needed to be exchanged twice). We were on the top floor and it was very easy to walk into the 8th Floor Executive Lounge through the 9th floor entrance (there are interior stairs INSIDE the lounge). Breakfast in the lounge was varied and delicious - I prefer lounge breakfasts to huge hotel buffets (the lounge had lots of juices, yogurt/cereal Station, porridge, hot foods, pastries, etc. Yes, the hot foods were the same all four days but one can pick and choose what one desires). Evening cocktails and hot food started EARLY at 5:30 pm which was great to grab something to eat before going to the Bolshoi! There were different hot foods and canapés every evening - enough to eat as one's dinner if desired. Food was plentiful and constantly replenished. The staff in the lounge was EXCELLENT too. Very nice and pleasant workers. Room was large and bright. Bathroom was large, although there is only one sink and it is a shower-tub combo with shower curtain (note the tub is very deep so be careful getting in and out). There is an iron & ironing board in the room. There is a scale in the bathroom too. Location of the hotel is great. About twenty minutes straight down Tverskaya Street to Red Square. This main thoroughfare is undergoing MAJOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION so one must make sure you exit on the hotel side from the two nearby metro stations. Tverskaya Street is a very enjoyable Street to stroll any time of the day/night, to enjoy the architecture and landmarks. This hotel was also very convenient for our car service to reach easily from the railway station and to drive to SVO without too much traffic congestion (by taking the outer ring roads). All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel!
