We stayed at the Korston on a business trip to attend a conference nearby (Lomonosov University). Location: The hotel itself is not that close to the city center. However, there is a Metro station nearby so you can get there in less than 1h. Check in was really easy, staff was speaking English (and German). The wifi is free but not very stable (especially in the rooms). The lobby has a touch of a vegas copy (not surprising though as it used to be a casino hotel). Room was quite spacious but not very modern, aircon was ok, bed quite comfortable. My room was facing the Moskva river and offered a fantastic view of the city. Breakfast was quite decent and they have a variety of restaurants that serve quite good food (I recommend the Korean place downstairs). On the top floor, they have a very busy and vibrant club and a karaoke bar. On an additional note: there is a strip club on the first floor and the whole hotel is not suitable for families (a lot of not very discrete 18+ entertainment). Overall, a good option if the purpose of your visit is a combination of party and sightseeing. I would not recommend it for families. Works ok for business trips to the Lomonosov (saves a lot of time).
Good location. Big and well designed lobby. there is no swimming pool and you must pay deposit for opening minibar and fridge. there is a classy strip club at second floor "911". there are lots of clubs and bars in hotel. Internet service is not very good. there is an exchange for money in the lobby. hotel service is not bad but it can be better
The hotel is very clean, and if you're into it, kind of like a casino and a nightclub rolled into one. I had terrible wifi connection in my room and when asking the front desk about it, they just said it was due to the busyness of the hotel at that time. The wifi connection did not improve all week. The staff in general were unfriendly; I rarely saw even the slightest hint of a smile. The Italian restaurant downstairs was great.
Had a good reception staff. The wifi was good with obtaining the individual code for each device from the reception. The staff at the breakfast tables are so reckless to pick up your plates and cups soooo often that you get a feeling that they are kicking you out of breakfast area. It is almost like if you dont put at least one of your hands on your plate, it might be gone in a bleak of an eye. They either have not sufficient chinaware or are afraid that they run out of tables! I did not probe into this matter to find out. But I found the variety of food stuff for breakfast good. The hotel is in a location far from touristic stuff to see and at night time, the surrounding area is not crowded enough to feel safe to walk alone.
We have stayed there for 3 days. This luxurious hotel has many bars and restaurants plus clubs ... Rooms are spacious enough but breakfast wasn't delicious and good at all. The main breakfast hall has a beatiful city architecture.
We've been in this hotel for 3 days in early August. The hotel was enormous including so many luxury bars and restaurants. Although the location is far from the historical center of the city, the neighborhood is really good. You can get to an amazing park, a beautiful lake, the great river of moskva within 5 min on foot. It will take you about 15-20 min to get to the nearest metro station and it won't take you more than 1 hour to get to anywhere in the city by metro. Rooms are clean and tidy and some of them have a fascinating view of the moskva river, Moscow city and University of Moscow. A vast lobby will shock you the moment you step in. Security is efficient but not disturbing. Although there are some negative points too (just like anywhere else:) ). The wifi connection is fast enough, but it disconnects every now and then. Bathrooms and bathtubs are tiny and annoying and the ventilation is awful. Room air conditioning is not efficient. Breakfast comes with a vary little variation. Only a few of staff members know English. After all its a good place to stay in a great location.
i enjoyed my stay in this hotel ,even it is far from moscow center ,but the stay is in nature.stuff is very nice and friendly, all speak english, breakfast is very good while dinner is wonderful.lot of restaurants .rooms are big and comfortable.
For some reason we did not have our breakfast at the same restaurant or hall. Each morning we had to ask where are we going to eat. It seems that it depended on how many visitors the hotel had at the time. So the quality of the breakfast varied between poor to rather good. The hotel is offering bars and entertainment at the lower floors where red lights and loud music is heard.
I have been staying here for all my moscow visits since 2014 when I just hoped in from Sputnik here, great hotel, clean rooms. The 12 hrs breakfast (5am to 5 pm) is unlike I have seen anywhere else. Good money exchange inside. Security is very efficient yet polite. They treat you like your family. In dining is great, events every week are choice if one wants a taste of moscow life. Lately prices have grown high but worth it. Parimal
Although the hotel is not in the centre of the city, we thought the location was great. We had a perfect view of the Moscow River and of the city that you wouldn't get if you were staying in the city itself. It was only a short walk to the metro which was then an easy ride to all attractions such as the Kremlin and Red Square. The room was comfortable and a good size and the staff were very helpful. The number of different restaurants in the hotel meant we could dine somewhere different every night without even going out. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
