The absolute dedication of staff at all levels and stations to guest satisfaction was remarkeable. Very friendly and extremely helpful staff at front desk, particularly Alina, who made check-in a pleasure, concierge with Artyem and Evgenyi always there with execellent advise, and the two Anastasias, whose smiles and welcoming helpers made coming to breakfast a great start into the day. Also, staff in the lounge bar made our nightly night cap very enjoyable.
Stayed here two nights in March. Second time here and still everything works. Room was spacious and included all what you need in two days staying. Good location, nice and helpfull staff. Didn´t try breakfast, because wanted to sleep longer. Still I can recommend this hotel.
We had a great experience at this hotel. We were greeted in the lobby with a traditional hot drink, which was nice since it was cold outside. The check-in process went very smooth and they gave us a brief summary of the hotel amenities. We stayed in the Pushkin Executive Suite. You enter the Suite through a semi-private entrance. There's a desk/den area and living room that extends the entire length of the Suite with floor to ceiling windows that overlook Tverskaya. There was a Winter Festival on the street so the view was entertaining. The bedroom was large with walk-in closet. The bathroom was also huge, with a separate shower and bathtub. The toiletries were high-end and the bed, bedding and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Suite was also incredibly quiet, except during the Festival but that ended around 10pm-11pm. This hotel is away from the noise and traffic and we chose it specifically for this reason. It's a 10 minute walk to Red Square and 15 minute walk to Kremlin or St. Basil's. This walk is very easy and you can't get lost. There are also shops, parks, restaurants along the way. The subway stations are a 2 minute walk in both directions. We ate the breakfast buffet daily in the restaurant. It was beautiful and service was extremely attentive. You can also order breakfast off the menu. We also had drinks in the bar and the bartenders and wonderful. They were professional, friendly and a lot of fun. We ordered to-go food for our room and the food was delicious. All was prepared well and flavorful. The reason for only the 4-stars was the concierge. We stopped by and asked about visiting the Kremlin and St. Basil's on New Years Day. He said both would be closed and seemed as though he didn't want to help us. Later we went to the front desk, they gave us a map and suggested we visit the Kremlin and St. Basil's anyway but go early in the morning. They were both open and there no were lines. Every time I had a question about the city, I just asked the front desk. The concierge lost all credibility. The front desk staff were superb. Extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel and will make this our place of choice when visiting Moscow.
We stayed at InterContinental Tverskaya for 5 -8 nights and were thoroughly delighted. Hotel is located near the metro (3 of them), in a more quiet part of the city. There is a 24 hr supermarket, and some really nice restaurants walking distance away. Check in and out were quick and fuss free. The room is a good size for a couple, and has most things you will need. Coffee station is smartly hidden in the cabinet. Shower pressure strong, bed comfortable and I liked the fluffy towels. Overall very clean and well maintained. I used the small gym and sauna a few times. It has the necessary equipment for a quick workout. Breakfast was superb. It had a good spread using local ingredients (bread, dairy, meats, fish). There were delicious hot and cold items to choose from. I was particularly fond of the blinis, a type russian pancake, and a fragrant dark square bread. The staff was a ray of sunshine every morning and gave us a good start to the day. Specials thanks to Elena and Aziz for their attention. The concierge is by far the best I’ve ever encountered. We’ve had some correspondences prior for booking of transfers and shows. Perfectly executed by the entire team. Big thanks to Anton who made many arrangements and also gave us useful tips on restaurants and sightseeing. The service and attitude of everyone we spoke with really made the difference between good and great. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
Have you ever felt a hotel was trying to fleece you ? Ever felt like a totally unwanted guest ? Welcome to the InterContinental Moscow Tverskaya Hotel ! We were 6 people with 6 rooms reserved. Our flight had arrived early and we called from the airport to request early checkin (had requested earlier as well). As is normal hotel policy globally - we were told that early checkin could be given only subject to rooms getting free. Or we could pay extra and be guaranteed an early checkin. This is understandable. The girl on the phone did say that if we chose to upgrade, we could checkin immediately on arrival - without any early checkin fee. When we arrived at the hotel - it was a total nightmare. The lady at the counter told us that even though rooms were available - she could not give us any rooms unless we paid the early checkin fee (50% of daily tariff). The manager arrived after waiting for more than 20 minutes and she said she had no idea who had committed us on the phone and she could not honour the committment made on the phone - (upgrade and immediately checkin). To cut a long story short - we ended up paying 1. UPGRADE cost for the rooms for all 3 days + 2. 50% of the daily tariff (of the upgraded room) - as early checkin fee + 3. BREAKFAST was not included even after paying early checkin fee !! + 4. We still had to wait 2 hours for rooms to get ready. I can imagine this kind of attitude in a small seedy hotel in some tourist trap but not from the Intercontinental. More than the money - it was the disdain with which we were treated. Small stuff bothers u - As we came in - the bellboys looked around - without even offering to help us drag our bags in. I must say that the staff at the Breakfast is polite and courteous - A server by the name Anastasia was exceptionally nice and helpful. The breakfast is average - they repeat the EXACT same breakfast every day :( The hotel overall is good, clean and well located. Just wish they could change / train their reception staff to treat guests better. A short holiday spoilt due to bad hotel attitude.
This is a very good hotel. The staff are good and the rooms are good. It is just not excellent. There were little points like the desk light not working, the chair backs being not very supporting and so tended to make you slouch. There was no restaurant, except and breakfast and the bar at night. See just little things. The traffic noise on the manic Tverskaya road is kept out brilliantly by the glazing system.
As luxurious as it can be!! Amazing room, great location and friendly staff!! It lived up to the Intercontinental brand, and shall I go back (hopefully for the World Cup), I will definitely make this choice again.
I was/am a very regular customer for both work and leisure of Intercontinental Moscow Tverskaya. The service, standard, location and price are perfect. This is the place to stay in Moscow for any occasion.
I visited conference at this hotel and stay only 1 night. But I understand that I will be back here with my family! The wonderful location-at the middle of downtown and nice view for historical part of Moscow. Hotel is not interesting about any design and special offers, but service very good! Personal so much professional and hospitality. Breakfast rather full. And wonderful duck at bathroom 😜
Really enjoyed our stay here, the location is great -- only a couple of blocks away from the Red Square, easy to walk there even in winter. Staff are very friendly and Front Desk staffs in particular, they all are very much welcoming, warm, friendly and speak perfect English. Breakfast offering is very nice without being overwhelming with hot food option as a la carte so you get fresh one each time -- although having said this, maybe they should consider more lovely local food to be listed in there. Definitely recommend this hotel.
