The tap water is dirty. Most of the staff can’t speak English and are not well trained to work in a 5 star facility. The restaurant food is expensive as compared to other restaurants within a five minute walk from the hotel. I will stay at a different hotel from now on.

Beautiful premise; great location; wonderful breakfast.

Very neat hotel. Friendly and helpful people. Polite staff. Restaurants and food are the best! Highly recommended. We'll definitely come back.

Super beautiful hotel and much cheaper than some of the other fancy hotels near red square. The bar area was open 24 hours and had live classical music every night. The breakfast buffet was pretty cool with a live harpist - but breakfast was expensive - I mean you’d have to eat 3 breakfasts to make that worth it. Go to Dr. zhivagos down the street instead

Amazing hotel in a great location! Front desk was helpful and spoke English very well. The jam festival was going on literally steps off of the property which was convenient and cute. Also the water pressure for the shower was good and the hair dryer worked really well. Will try to come back next time I visit Moscow if the price is similar!

Very comfortable and friendly hotel . Clean rooms. Very professional staff.

Everything you're looking for: room, staff, service, location etc. And the hotel restaurant is the best we experienced in two weeks of travel in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. you will not be disappointed.

I booked a twin deluxe room with City view through Orbitz. The room I received did not have the view. The receptionist said they cannot guarantee the view because I booked through Orbitz. Essentially they blamed Orbitz and said I should have booked direct with the hotel. They said they would check to see if a room would become available but did not follow up with me, nor did they offer any upgrade to offset the mistake. If the hotel is going to accept money through Orbitz, they need to be in sync.

Had a good experience.great location, home felling.

My husband and I stayed at the Metropol Hotel during our visit in Moscow in early September. The hotel is at an excellent location surrounded by the Kremlin, Red Square, and Bolshoi Theatre. Amenities at the hotel are excellent while the hotel staff/concierge provide outstanding services. Fantastic hotel in Moscow!

Good place to stay, best of location, room is bit dated, full of history

Fantastic hotel right in the heart of Moscow, next to the Red Square, many restaurants, and 2 different Metro lines. Service is impeccable!

This hotel was beautiful, affordable, and perfectly situated right on red square! It's soviet-esque decor and architecture make you feel as if you've gone back 50 years in time, but in the best way! The Rooms are clean and comfortable, the dinning hall is huge and gorgeous and all for an affordable price. I brought my parents here for their first visit to Russia and they loved it! I highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful location and a very pleasant hotel, filled with history and beautiful places

Excellent location, close to red square and boljshoi theater.. But it needs serious updating. Especially in the rooms . You have a problem trying to find place to plug in your Mobil devices. Doormen can be more friendly and not to look at you with suspicion.

Excellent location, mysterious interiors, but nothing more.

I stayed just for one night transit in Moscow. The stay was great: the hotel's location is unbeatable, right on the side of the Red Square; the hotel is a grand old dame with large rooms and a beautiful dining hall; the breakfast buffet was unbelievable with blinis and caviar; and the staff - all fluent in English- could not have been more helpful (I am a frequent traveler but it was my first stay in Moscow)
