Courtyard by Marriott Moscow City Center4.0 out of 5.0

The hotel is what you would expect from a 4* Marriott, although the standard rooms are on the small side and only have a bathtub, no shower. The bathrooms are small and in need of a facelift. The breakfast is decent but overpriced. The staff are friendly and helpful. The flat iron bar is good, although if you are looking to eat, there are much better places just round the corner. The best thing about the hotel is the location. It is very central in perhaps the most charming old part of central Moscow, near the Tchaikovsky conservatory with a good choice of shops, cafeterias and restaurants, but it is also on a quiet side street.
Stayed for 2 nights at the Courtyard while on a business trip. The rooms are comfortable although in a need of a facelift. The bed is very good and the sheets of high quality. The bathroom is somewhat old and has only a bath tub. Service is very good. Breakfast is excellent and the pub in the hotel is quite cosy.
This hotel has fantastic location just in the heart of the city. Service is brilliant and superb. Rooms are decent and convenient. Perfect facility for sightseeing. very pleasant surprise is positioning very close to Azerbaijani Embassy. Overall very positive. Highly recommended
Room had good access to power sockets which can be a challenge in other hotels. Standard Marriott fair, with Iron and Ironing board. Position was great for city centre access. Internet was free with no issues.
This hotel has an excellent location and very nice staff. The glass ceiling over the lobby makes the common areas bright and welcoming. All the main Moscow attractions are walking distance. The room was very comfortable. Walls are on the thinner side and I could hear my neighbour snoring, but otherwise a great stay. Very good value for money too.
I have ended up in Marriott Courtyard by arranging my business trip last minute, when all my usual choices in Moscow (Marriott Belorusskaya, Sheraton, Marriott Grand) were gone. Also in the Courtyard, I apparently took the last room: they had to say no to some phone inquiries. I did not expect much and I was pleasantly surprised: the service is impeccable (and I think I have quiet a high bar, travelling weekly and having all possible hotel memberships). Everyone was very professional, very friendly - and at the same time, it is a small hotel, so things like room service or checking out take much less time! Location is also a plus: you really are in a city center, with many restaurants, bars, cafes, theaters and all the other things that make up a city literally around the corner. Definitely a reco to anyone travelling on business.
The location is great, nice neighborhood for walking around sightseeing, and for going out to dinner and for drinks. Easy to walk to the Red Square. My room was nice, but had a lumpy bed not too comfortable. That's the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I think it was a twin bed that they combined to make it a king, but it wasn't really flat. The breakfast is excellent. The breakfast room is also so enjoyable to eat breakfast there, with windows looking outside. Good quality food and the lady at the egg coking station made nice egg dishes. The front desk people were helpful, but some were a bit difficult with English communication, but I think in each case were able to find someone to help. I had a Russian colleague with me for the trip, so that was very helpful and probably made my experience better.
Hotel is in a great location near Red Square. We walked there everyday after our business meetings. Hotel is clean, but a little worn as others have said. Also very quiet. I only had one meal on premise. Breakfast buffet. The content was acceptable only, but the staff spoke very good English and were helpful. It's expensive $30 USD. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!
Located in a quiet location very close to the Kremlin and within walking distance of restaurants and cafes. Free wifi in the lobby (or in the rooms with Marriott Rewards membership) . The bar is well stocked and offers a good variety of drinks and food.
Nice 4 star hotel in the historical city center of Moscow. 10 - 15 minutes walk to the Kremlin, Red Square, although also metro is close by on a few minute way. Breakfast is mediocre/ okay, restaurant is good. Staff make feel you very welcome. Great value for money
