Old Soviet style hotel perhaps belonging to the era as well. Good views from the front facing rooms. Rooms are well maintained and don't necessarily look their age. The staff is accommodating, although language is a challenge. Stayed there on a business trip. They give free WiFi with good speed. It's located not so far from the Red Square and is easily spotted from the main road.

Good hotel, fairly clean, food correct, staff at reception are as cold as Moscow weather in winter, but I was prepared to cold so it's part of the package... However really not happy the room service. I wanted to use the laundry for two shirts, brought them to the reception desk, they informed me to call the room service (00) perfectly knowing that I do not speak Russian and obviously (I would discover later on) no one at the room service can speak English. So went to my room for nothing, went back to the reception desk so they can speak to the room service and say that I will be in my room in 5 min to hand over my shirts.. A lady issued from a bad cold war movie knocked my door, I gave her my shirts + a form which was not exactly filled-up the way she expected although the total amount was correct. I wanted to change, but she took everything from my hands, started to speak loud in Russian with an unfriendly look.. and she went away without leaving ma a carbon copy. I thought my shirts would be binned sooner or later.. next morning, not news of the shirts, but the invoice was well in my room.. visit at reception desk, been told shirts should be ready tomorrow.. OK.. no choice. Next day went back to my room, my shirts were there. Next day after a dinner with colleagues, needed a good sleep.. my key didn't work, blocked because I didn't pay the invoice right away! I thought naively that I would pay everything when checking out. So had to go downstairs again and pay this partial invoice so they allow me to sleep... Really unfriendly staff for non Russian speaking people! If you need basic service hotel is fine, but don't try to ask them too much or speak the local language..

Although built in the 1980's, it has not really been modernised. Rooms are clean/tidy bathrooms are adequate. Breakfast is very average and staff are poor, could be rude, could be lack of English, could be both! Only saving grace is the bay on the upper level above reception is open 24/7 and reasonably good selection of food.

bad hotel with poor room service. They do not understand English and do not help. There is nothing called as room service. even ice cubes are not avilable at this place. Strongly suggest do not stay at this hotel!

Our stay at the Aerostar was for a team function. Hotel is clean - rooms are old and need to be updated but they are clean. Bar is open 24/7 and room service runs late so that is helpful if you have a tight schedule running around Moscow. Staff is a bit stiff but eventually helpful. Workout room is minimal at best.

If there is a wedding being held here - avoid the Hotel at all costs...the noise is outrageous. All soft furnishings here need replacement, urgently. Staff are quite good but restricted with having to work within an ageing and ailing Hotel.

1-A very bad treatment. 2-No Customer satisfaction. 3-The same bad food every day without any change. 4-Not a secure place, any guest could make replacement of lost key without any checking about the guest identity or name or passport number or nationality!!!!!! 5-Very poor reception personnel (poor experience about solving problems and handling guest needs) 6- Very bad in English.

This hotel is in strong need of a deep renewal. The rooms are small and worn out, with stained carpets that give a general impression of dirt, even if the premises are clean enough. Furthermore, there are severe structural problems, like a very strong noise coming from the bathroom if someone in the adjacent room was taking a shower. The good points are the cheap price and a rather good breakfast. The position is not terrible, but not fabulous as well. It sits a good 10 min walk from the closest metro station, and from there it's a few stops from the Red Square area.

I found this hotel realy good. Rooms are big and cheap. I wonder my room have a bathroom and this is very comfortable. Fitness room is poor and small, but have everything for base. Suppers on the 2nd floor are big. Now i'm eating supper #10. Seafood salat is hard to eat, tasty but hard. I prefer to see some soups in menu, but there is no choice. You can get big mall just for 15 minutes. Rooms have water buttles - this is very good.

A rather basic business orientated hotel which is looking tired. Warm and relatively comfortable but there the praise ends. Breakfast was very basic and hot items were barely warm with no staff on hand to assist.
