Housekeeping

Checkin was easy. Ask for a late checkout (12) was told that would be fine no extra charge. Except front desk did not note it. Housekeeping made a false complaint of excessive noise so front desk called and ask about checkout because it was not noted. Now to the condition of the room. When first enter room was spacious and temperature was comfortable. Upon further inspection, the window was open (didn’t know hotel windows opened) there was something orange running down the walls by the light switch in the bathroom (how did housekeeping miss that). There was a piece of toilet paper in one of the sink cubbies. There was trash underneath the bathroom sink on the floor. The shower had a concerning amount of mold in it and a dead bug. The carpet could have used a good vacuum cleaning as well. Seems like housekeeping is lacking. Breakfast was delicious. There was a full breakfast buffet style. The attendant was very polite and helpful. If you want to sleep in good luck housekeeping was loud slamming doors and yelling housekeeping every 30sec. Not so sure why housekeeping is in such a hurry to do nothing for. I should have taken more pictures to show.

Loved the hotel. Hated paying for it twice. I booked through a travel app. Being exhausted, my spouse went in and instead of checking in, booked another room. Funny and easily corrected? I thought so, and so did the THREE employees who assured me I would not be double charged or would be reimbursed if I was. They did double charge and just make promises they don't intend to keep. Its been almost three months.

Unfortunate that although I booked a roll in shower and king bed, the property didn't get the info from Expedia and didn't have one available. Seems to be a communication issue between Expedia and the properties it represents.
