check in was not as usual...had to ring bell for service. No one came for several minutes. I could hear people in the back. A girl came out but she looked like she was totally out of it. She walked out in lobby and came back I guess to tell someone we were there. By this time it was 2:35 and girl wasn't really rude but not very apologetic and told us we couldn't check in until 3. She could have cared less.

I2 in town for a business trip. The hotel was close to where I needed to go and there were many dining options. The room was clean and the hotel quiet. Don't know about the breakfast. They are usually bad at most hotels without a dedicated restaurant.

This hotel is one of our regular choices when we visit Morgantown. Overall the room was clean and the staff was very friendly as usual. I’m only giving 4 stars this time because of little things. The shower soaps and shampoo dispensers were empty along with the Kleenex box and it’s time for the them to do a deep clean on the bathroom to get those hard to reach spots under the glass shower doors and such that would put it in the 5 star category again for us.

We stayed here a couple years ago and it was a nice hotel. It is getting run down. Our shower handle was broken and kept hitting the glass which was nerve wracking, the shower door does not provide a seal and the floor got very wet, and a tv was missing in our sitting room but bracket was still on table. Makes the place look cheap when broken or missing items from room. Some kind of construction workers must stay here full time and they track in mud and it is all over the lobby, hallways and elevators. Not a good look for customers coming in to see dirt everywhere. The breakfast lacked choices. One day there was not an egg option, every free breakfast always has eggs. The lady who worked there slammed the cupboards shut nonstop while we were eating like she was upset people were eating, both days this happened. It was very disruptive and not relaxing. The staff at front desk was very friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They only provided two towels for the entire weekend which was rough for us as we were there for a tournament and showered multiple times. To dry off with wet towels is the worst. Also beware they allow pets. We had two barking dogs near us. We decided we would not stay here again.

Called the night prior to schedule an early check in. They agreed and told me to call again in morning 30 mins prior to arrival after an all night travel for a meeting in town. I called 40 mins prior and staff said they would notify housekeeping to get room ready. Arrived and not ready and told me it would be a few hours util I could check in, I had to change in lobby bathroom for my work meeting. Then 3 days into trip, my room key lock battery went out. Staff could not open my room even with a master key. They had to call corporate maintenance to come in after hours to open door. I was locked out for over an hour late at nigh after work. I asked what they would do if a child was inside room and this happened and no one could get in. They told me they would have to call the fire department. This was absolutely unacceptable.

My room was given away, they were able to get me another room but the pullout couch was dirty, the room itself had garbage on the floor as well as perscription drugs and an empty liquor bottle found by my children.
