I spent three nights and I can't say enough about how much I like staying here. Albert and Joseph make you so much at home . The location is excellent with the location in the Quartier Latin. Such a buzz in this area. Very convenient to the places I want to go. Nice restaurants, funky stores, ambiance of the are which are to my taste. Albert didn't forget me from the last time when I stayed here with my wife. Just an overall wonderful place to stay.
Our room was indeed cozy, but had all the essentials, plus a very nice bathroom with excellent shower. Handy to Berri-UQAM station, for 747 bus to/from P-E Trudeau Airport. As we were a late arrival, Albert kindly left keycard in a lockbox by the front door.
We were lucky to find this hotel on Orbitz for the day we were going to be in Montreal. It's not much on the outside, a simple old walk up building on the bustling St.Denis street. The lobby is actually the foyer of the building with a small section where the manager,Albert, usually is to give you a cheerful welcome. However everything they lack on the outside they make up for, on the inside. The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious and complete with every amenity you would expect in a first class hotel. Albert, the manager, is very warm, welcoming and helpful. He strives to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We checked in early but were pleasantly surprised to know that our room was ready and that we were assigned a beautiful suite on the top floor. It had a private terrace, an en suite living room with sofa bed that was really nice to have. Albert was kind enough to have the sofa bed setup once he saw that our daughter won't fit in the crib provided. Thanks Albert! The cleaning ladies are really nice and polite as well. In the morning, complimentary pastries were delivered to our room that we thoroughly enjoyed with the nice coffee selection available. We loved our stay at this hotel and will highly recommend it to everyone. The only downside is that this is not handicap accessible as there is no elevator so you need to go 3 flights of stairs up and down. Other than that, this is a great hotel in the center of Montreal - easily connected by subway, buses and walking distance to most attractions.
We came here in a bind after having a bad Airbnb checkin. Joseph answered the phone and said he would hold a room for us while we were figuring out if we could get a refund on our Airbnb. He originally quoted $185 Canadian per night but I saw a special online for $149 and he gave it to us at that price. Our hotel room was fantastic. Very clean and spacious. The shower was MASSIVE. The hotel includes a complimentary continental breakfast (pastry and a juice). Joseph put us in this amazing suite after our bad Airbnb experience and to help us be even more comfortable during our babymoon. We are so grateful. Our room was cleaned every day and the extra pastries are available for guests all day. The location is superb. You step out the front door and you’re immediately in the middle of bars and restaurants. A good meal or drink is never far away. We also thought that the location was close enough to everything we wanted to see and do. We highly recommend using the nearby city bikes for transportation ($5 for unlimited daily rides). We would absolutely stay here again.
The gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming. He gave us restaurant tips and directions around the city. Our room seemed newly remodeled - very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent, just a short walk to a major Metro station. Rue St Denis is very active, so we could hear some street noise, but a "white noise" app on our tablet was able to cover most of it.
This adorable boutique hotel is a MUST stay!! A real hidden gem. We have just spent 3 nights here while in town for a gymnastics competition with my daughter and have only lovely things to say. The rooms are a very good size, and clean. Beds are so comfortable. Every morning a basket of baked goods and juice are left outside your door to enjoy while you relax and make yourself either tea or coffee in the contemporary living spaces adjoining the rooms. The staff are so sweet! Albert has been so gracious and helpful. This area of St. Denis Street is perfect for a walk, shopping and also incredible food finds. We will be back!!!
LOVE the location, steps away from the University so many wonderful coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The Metro train is across the street and only two stops to old Montreal which is a MUST see. Visit the Notre Dame, walk over to the port, drink wine in old winebars, eat wonderful fondue, fun shopping. The manager of the hotel is from France and we had a wonderful conversation with him - he is very knowledgeable about the area and will make great recommendations. We will return!
Don't judge a book by its cover? The outside doesn't look like much, nor the lobby, and neither does the neighborhood. But the rooms are big, clean, modern, and with a bathroom that is equal. Coffee machine, Mini-Fridge, chocolates, nice toiletries, and a rather small LCD TV, but we didn't come to Montreal to watch Canadian TV. The youthful street is packed full of bars, restaurants, breweries, and a strip club. The metro station is just 1 block away. But the best part? Every morning a lovely continental breakfast is delivered to your door! A basket filled with pastries and juices; a different variety each day. The hotel always ordered more than necessary, so always placed the leftover pastries out for anyone to take. Late night snack? $189/night isn't cheap, but in American dollars thats about $150/night, which is reasonable for the quality of room and service, anywhere.
Great boutique hotel On St. Denis with plenty of restaurants and bars. Albert on reception very warm and welcoming. A basket of pastries and juice delivered to the room every morning. The rooms are sleek with great cabinetry, drawers that are large. Robes. Very comfortable bed and we had 3 pillows each! Windows that open and controllable air and heat. Huge flat screen TV with all the channels. Perfect water temperature in the shower. Great lighting and the most electrical outlets ever. Very comfortable and quiet. I would recommend this hotel for couples. The WiFi is fast and strong. I am definitely coming back.
I booked for Sept 2017 on Expedia by mistake one year ahead. We arrived after 20 hours travelling late one night in Sept 2016 ... how embarrassing! M Albert must have guessed and kept one (lovely) room just in case and found another for us the next night. How excellent. Can't wait to go back. Now taking great care with dates!
