Well I got to the hotel and check in was really fast maybe about 5 minutes. They took a copy of my passport and told me my checkout time. The room was really clean and it looked fairly new. The only problem I saw was the wifi, it was really slow and you would lose connection from time to time. Other than that clean room with El Papalote restaurant right in the front side of the hotel. Great food and great service as well. Continental breakfast provided by H-Inn is not bad just get there early because it fills up quick. Overall it was quiet and a good experience I never saw anyone in my floor the two days I was there other than the cleaning crew. about 5 minutes from the airport.
Room was great, elevators were key activated, had washer and dryer available and had 24 hour coffee/hot water. Was close to good restaurants and a Starbucks. 10 minutes from the airport. The only downfall for this trip was that I had to wait 1hr. 20min. for a shuttle to arrive. Hotel stated that their shuttles ran every 30 minutes. I had to have my office call the hotel twice, to see if there was any shuttles available, finally...one arrived after a very long wait.
Tried to stay at the hotel, but i called to confirm that the swimming pool was open because i need to have a swimming pool, they said it was under repairs and it wouldn't be open until July 15th, are you kidding me???? I was so upset and went to marriot Fairfield a lot better!
I stayed at this hotel for one night while traveling in Monterrey. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The ones I spoke with spoke decent English, so it will be easy to converse with them if you speak English. I only spent the night in my room and other than stepping out for a bite to eat, I did not see much more of the hotel. However, it seems very new and clean, with lots of amenities for travelers. The hotel appears to be very secure and safe. In fact, you have to insert your keycard into a reader in the elevator and you can only enter the floor number that you're on. You can enter any number to go back down, however. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The king bed had a number of pillows on it which made for a very pleasant night. The desk and chair made for a great place to do some work on my computer, and the hotel has WiFi, as well as an Ethernet port near the desk to be able to use a wired connection. There is a flat screen TV in the room, but as can be expected, most of the programming is in Spanish. The console that the TV sits on has plenty of roomy drawers for storage, as well as a very large closet near the entrance to the room. The bathroom was modest but roomy. The shower had a 4" high berm and a shower curtain, so there's no clunky doors or high tub walls to step over while washing up. On the night that I was there, the hotel offered a free, light buffet in their dining area but I chose to eat at a different restaurant that night and didn't check it out. My only complaint with the room is that the HVAC unit was very noisy. It sounded like a belt was wearing out and I couldn't run it all evening from the sound. If I had been planning on staying here for more than one night, I would have mentioned it to the front desk but I left very early the next morning, so I just left it off. The hotel runs a shuttle between here and the airport every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day. This was very helpful because I had an early flight on the morning that I left and it was convenient to use that service rather than having to coordinate getting a cab. Because I left before breakfast was served, I don't have any comments to add regarding that service. Overall, this is a nice hotel to stay at if you like better-than-average amenities. However, that makes the rate a little more expensive than other hotels, so keep that in mind if you are planning on staying here.
I stopped here for one night and I was pretty satisfied, I mean the rooms were pretty comfy, very quiet, cleaned. a great place to rest. unfortunately the one thing I was disappointed by was breakfast. now I know it's included with your room but I would rather pay for it and be served something worth it than to be served something cold that should be hot. the refried bean tasted as if they had just pulled them out the freezer, and the juice was warm, yeah not a great way to start a morning. but if you just want the cereal and milk, or if you dont care for breakfast then you are fine.
Breakfast is decent, the hotel is quite enough and you have a restaurant and the restaurant of the Crowne Plaza literally next to the hotel. Distance to the airport is quite short so it is a good budget option for a next to the airport stay. I felt like the hotel is getting old and my room smelled a bit like humidity but other than that the hotel was as many other HIEs of the same age.
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The front desk Sanjai was very nice and helpful We got great big and clean rooms. The view is not full but not bad. Breakfast was very good. For the children and for us. Location was great! The best! Free parking:) Recommended very much!
The hotel is in pretty good shape but earned an average rating in my book. The room was clean. At check in, many customers had issues with the key cards. It is frustrating after a long day a travel to have to exchange key cards multiple times until you get one that works. Another issue I had with the A/C, the room never cooled below 76F even though it ran constantly.
We stayed here a partial night because our flight left in the early morning. The sight is excellent if you are facing "el cerro de la silla". Clean and friendly staff. Just the price is a little off for Holiday Inn standards.
It's just like the new Holiday Inn's you know and love. Good comfy bed, easy to work thermostat. Walk in shower (no tub in my room). Nice pool. Bottled water in the room which was replenished daily. Nice breakfast buffet that featured some local flavor. Tex Mex restaurant immediately adjacent. All in all I would choose to stay here again. I've been in a lot worse hotels and paid a lot more for less.
