Crowne Plaza Monterrey Aeropuerto3.5 out of 5.0

Hotel is located very close to the airport and convenient as the hotel has a shuttle service. The room was good sized and the A/C was quiet so one could sleep. The area does not have much to offer as it is in the middle of several industrial parks. If your are on business that it is great. There are a few restaurants within walking distance if you do not want to eat at the hotel. There was no issues with the service as the staff was extremely helpful.
This is a decent enough property near the airport as compared to the other ones on the trip. Have stayed here every time in city due to proximity to the airport & friendly accommodating staff. I have arrived at hotel many times before noon & they have always given room to me. The morning breakfast buffet is very good with lot of choices
While I only stayed one night during this trip, the Crowne Plaza Aeropuerto is a competent business hotel. And with 10 minute ride to the airport it was quick and easy to get back and forth for our flights. I skipped breakfast so can't rate the restaurant though. Overall, I'd stay here again if a quick trip in & out of Monterrey.
During a trip in Mexico for business I spend overnight in this hotel before continuing to Saltillo. I have already stayed to Crown Plaza in Istanbul and here I have found the same high quality. Nice room with large space, good cleaning and service. The hotel offer the shuttle to the airport. Good welcoming at the reception.
Upon check-in to this airport hotel, my first designated room was located adjacent to a noisy water pump that screamed for repairs. The front desk staff promptly relocated me to a better room. Then I get down to the nice looking restaurant for dinner, and ordered a filet. The waiter politely warned me that it would take ~25min to cook it, and it was maybe a bit longer. That would be fine, but when I received the steak I could see that it was clearly re-heated dry, to a hard and overlooked appearance, not freshly cooked. I didn't dare to taste it and declined the dish. The waiter took my rejection graciously, and excluded it from my bill without the need to ask, which I appreciated. The night was ok and the room comfortable and well appointed. Not to be picky, but I'd expected the construction to use efficient siphons in the sink and drains, that left a hint of sewage smell in the shower and sink areas. That appears to me a common siphon problem in Mexico... To complete the disappointment, unfortunately, the airport shuttle was 10 min late, and the shuttles only leaves every 30 minutes. In summary, this is a good hotel, with attentive and polite staff, but with a few flaws that a higher level hotel like this shouldn't have. I hope my critique helps to improve their performance.
Its a near by the airport and far from everything else. If you need to stay in the area or will fly next day is ok. The check inn a little bit confuse and the wifi wasn't working..too bad for a business hotel. Rates aren't exactly the best in town considering the location.
I was in Monterrey for business. The company provided transportation. The hotel offered a comfortable clean place to stay. The upper floors (where I stayed) had a nice hospitality hour in addition to the hospitality offered in the lobby for all guests. I would definitely stay here again if the company sends me back down.
I just love Mexico and can be bias :( the staff in this hotel are just great always smiling. I was a little bit of with breakfast because was hoping to eat some delicious authentic Mexican food. The hotel is just standard, and clean. If you are there for business, it's definitely a great location and late night you can take a quick drive to downtown, but there's quiet a few restaurants in the areas by the hotel. There are not the best but descent. The gym is quiet good with new and very good equipments. On the same note, I got my best massage ever in this hotel comparing to all countries that I have traveled...hot rock massage. A great place for business trip.
Very convenient to the airport (5 minutes away) and other local industry. Hotel shuttle runs to the airport every 30 minutes. Not near the city. Location has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Staff very friendly and efficient. English was good. Ate (too) many meals in the hotel restaurant, but food was very tasty. Wi-fi was solid. TV picture was "so so", getting picky here, but all images were quite grainy. Not many restaurants within walking distance. Ironing board and wash cloths were provided. I liked the security option that required a key card to ride the elevator to a particular floor. You could not select another floor if it didn't match your key card. Disappointed that the pool was out of service during my stay. The warm January weather would have made a nap by the pool extraordinary! Strong winds during my stay caused the power to go off several times. Disconcerting to those that were stuck in the elevators. Minor point on fit & finish of the property. The sheet rock work on the bathroom walls was rough. Looked like something I could do. Sheet rock dust on the dark baseboard would not wipe off. I would stay at again and recommended for fellow business travelers.
Good hotel for short business trips, long distance from city center and very few restaurants near by. Convineant if you are alone in a business trip near by and need just a good sleep and nice breakfast.
