After having our staff stay for a few weeks, we ran into a deposit issue. We were to still be there for several more weeks. The gal at the desk wouldn't budge in letting me send the info the next day even though we already had reservations and would be there the rest of the week. She basically turned our guys away after they had worked a long, hard day. No compassion, no willingness to work with us, nothing. I couldn't get her to just talk to me and figure out another way. It was like she was talking from cue cards and had no thought of her own.

No frills here. Towel, packet of soap, that's about it. Corridor lights on timer, so it was dark when I packed up an left at 6:30 am. No restaurants in neighborhood. This is about as simple as the get. No value here.

my stay was needed it was a great a way to relax.

We checked into our room, it was a hot day, walk in AC blowing so cool felt amazing, I go to the bathroom to go pee (thank God I didn't go poop) only to find out the toilet handle was broken, now this would've been apparent had they cleaned the room/bathroom. They definitely didn't mop the bathroom floors the bathtub was disgusting they definitely need to replace the floor mat In The tub it had so much gunk on it that I put a towel down in the shower on the floor so I could shower without thinking I'd get a fungus. Also whoever attempted to clean the room didn't vacuum or pick up the sprite lid on the floor that wasn't brought in by us, needless to say not worth the money at all, could've stayed in a Motel 6.

Staff was helpful, room was adequate and close to our destination

This is a very affordable place to stay. Close to Highway 101. There is a Starbucks only a few feet away. The rooms are basic and show some wear. I have stayed here twice and both rooms were clean but in one room the night stand had crumbling particle board showing. Both rooms the tub/shower was clean but showed signs of heavy use. The walls are thin, you can hear street noise and people talking outside, so if you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you. Bed was comfortable, sheet and comforter.

Talk about bare minimum. One Queen sized bed. No mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, iron, ironing board, or even hair dryer. Not the cleanest of rooms. Super thin walls.

My keys did not work to enter room and had to go back to check in. One of the lights was out, and the room was very noisy as it was right next to a staircase, and doorway wasn't soundproofed enough so heard children and drunk people talking every time they went by.

Location was horrible. Next to railroad tracks and airport. VERY NOISY. Also my room had a stench of dry urine. When I first walked in and smelt it I called the front desk for another room and was told there was no more and that maid service would come clean out the smell. That never happened so I did it my self. Come to find out the stench was in the carpet so my stay was so unpleasant. The mattress was the cheapest most uncomfortable one I've ever slept on. Save your money and find another location. This one is the worst!!!

Super minimal room, terrible TV reception and weak wifi. The elevator stinks bad like mildew. No one in the office in the early mornings until 6am???? Rooms just smell and feel dingy and old and dated. Bathroom was meh.. a little funky. Now, it worked for me as a single guy just passing through, but I wouldn't stay again likely. It is not "bad" but I just want a little more.

It's an ok motel. Non smoking rooms still smell like cigarettes smoke. Elevator stunk like urine. This place can be so much better with small cleaning.

Most places inflate everything about their renovations. This one, actually clean, by the coast- nice place and very reasonable in price. Not noisy at all either. Will come back to the area in a few weeks and stay here again.

Salinas might not be the "go to location" for every Californian road trip. But it is nearby many other great cities and roads that are relevant. The Good Nite Inn is a quality motel with free wifi, good rooms (large). TV low quality picture, no fridge. Room: large rooms, very good bathroom, huge comfortable bed, clean sheets, towels and mirrors/sink. Staff: very professional, efficient. Check-in took 5 minutes. Check-out at 3 in the morning took 10 seconds. other guests: mostly families with many kids, not the quietest environment. Hotel good for kids and workers, not the best for relaxation. Some construction workers and handymen present, both as guests and workers for the hotel. There was some construction noise while staying. Wifi: wifi used to be at charge, now it is finally free and fast. Good link. TV: bad signal/picture. Parking is free and on site, however not gated, covered. Just outside the hotel.

Hotel is very VERY basic. Pro: One big plus for modern travelers is an abundance of electrical outlets for charging phones, laptops etc. It even has 2 outlets mounted to top of desk with a usb charger! Plenty of hot water in shower. TV and bed were fine . Cons: Water pressure in sink was a trickle..literally. Light around door which was the reason for hearing everyone walking by .... needs soundproofing there. No microwave or fridge and no in room coffee. All day coffee is provided in lobby.

Good for traveling but not the greatest, seems like it's well kept and maintained

Walls are thin, anyone walking by, above, to the side you will be able to hear. Close to train tracks, have airplanes flying overhead, and close to freeway. Bed is not comfortable

Overall good. Clean room.clean bathroom. Good location.

We had reserved two rooms. Both rooms were very clean. The hotel had all carpets deep cleaned by an independent cleaning company. The staff was friendly. The rooms are very simple. I wish it had a coffee maker and a small fridge in the rooms. Overall, very positive experience.

overall the hotel is not bad, however in all the times I've stayed here, this was by far the worst, as the smell of urine in the room was too strong

It is very basic to the bottom. But it is very clean and economic. It is really good safe hotel.

Thank you for your comments, we are addressing the issues you have commented at this time. We had completed the first half of our bathroom remodel and are waiting on the last of our updated furniture. I understand it can be noisy at times and we are now offering ear plugs for those light sleepers. Again, thank you for your comments.

Dear Guest, Sorry that our location was not to your satisfaction. I apologize for the smell in your room, we just had all of our rooms professionally cleaned 1 week ago and I will check on this issue. As for our mattresses they were all upgraded recently and I'm sorry that it was not comfortable for you.
