Carmel Wayfarer Inn

3.0 out of 5.0

close to Carmel shopping. Old, dirty, no amenities

The sheets were very old even had rips in them and felt soggy. Bathroom looked like it came out of the fifties even had rusty towel racks.

An unclean room with a dirty blanket. No afternoon wine as advertised. No fruit or juice with breakfast.

The location is good, literally blocks from everything you want to see or do. Rooms were spacious but weary, sink separating from the wall and bed was old and uncomfortable. Tough recommendation for the money being asked. That being said you don't spend much time there, or at least we didn't because of bars, stores, restaurants, sunsets, and people. For the money spent it wouldn't take much to freshen the place up and have a very nice place to stay. Rates were similar to other properties we have stayed at some better, some worse.

there was no direct tv channels on tv, no coffee, tea & microwave in the room, no iron & board... Breakfast started at 8am (kinda late...) and had not much to eat, coffee is ok (not great)!.

The hotel seemed to cater to travelers with pets. The room smelled of dog. Not so good for me and my adult kids. The hotel is cute from the outside and in a nice area. But pretty much everything needed updating. We were also disappointed in the breakfast. No eggs or sausage. Just waffles, cereal & sweets.

Hotel needs repairs and painting Cost per room very high compared with how the hotel looks That room should be $300 per night not $ 585. It si closed to downtown but overly priced.

Nice but limited amenities and breakfast. Old tv also bathroom.

This is a quaint inn. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They even accepted a delivery to my hotel room while I was out.

This place is in a great location, you can walk to everything, and that's about it. The rooms are run down and dirty, things don't work. The breakfast was bread for toast, waffles, and old bananas. The staff were either cranky or ignored us. We figured we'd save some money but with 3+ ratings were hoping for "quaint" or "charm" or "character." None of that. It's a place long declined and it's clear the owner either doesn't want to clean, paint, and do repairs or simply won't. Carmel is a wonderful place to visit, the Wayfarer is not the place to do it from!

So if your plan is to crash for the night this might do the job. Its located within walking minutes to tasting rooms and restaurants. Outside of this everything else is marginal at best.

Definitely NOT a 3-star hotel. Definitely NOT a 3-star hotel. Dirty carpet, chair w/ suspicious white stains, very shabby furniture, huge crack on the wall w/ a hole in it. Awful gross place.

On of the best locations with charming Carmel views. Property and amenities need serious upgrade though. Threadbare linens and lack of cleanliness. A good modernization of furnishing can hopefully make this a future gem.

Generally, there' s nothing that I can complain about, however my room nad a feel of bieg rather smallish. Location of the Inn was very Central on the otwór się, close to shops and restaurants. Staff was very friendly, indeks.

This hotel was very much as described. Small inn with friendly service. Spacious rooms with good location, close to shopping and restaurants.

very nice and helpful staff steps were tough to manage with suitcases good breakfast

steps to climb with luggage. extra bed was right by the bathroom helpful person at the desk great location

For the price we paid, it was perfect. Everything was very clean and everyone was very friendly. The only thing I wish was offered was some kind of protein at breakfast. Cottage cheese or a hard boiled egg would have been fine.

The hotel may be getting a little run down, but it's location more than made up for that. It's a block away from the Hog's Breath Inn, there was a fireplace in the room, and the evening wine tasting was a nice bonus.

Nice people, clean and great location but, weak wifi and early morning construction in room next to ours means we will try another spot next time.
