Walls are paper thin. Room felt dirty.

Dated, but clean and quiet. Front desk staff was extremely pleasant.

The man and woman who run the motel and very kind, welcoming and courteous. When I had a problem they helped me right away and stayed to make sure it was taken care of. My room was nice and clean. I would stay here again.

We stayed here (our first time) because it was close to the family reunion we were attending. It's nothing fancy, but it served our basic needs. The property was extremely clean both inside and out. Our room looked like it had recently been refreshed. The walls were newly painted, the bedspreads were new as well as the blinds on the windows. The owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful. We were greeted with a "good morning" and a huge smile as we were leaving the next morning. We will definitely stay here again for next year's family reunion.

It is OBVIOUSLY a very OLD lodge that someone spent "some money" on trying to spruce up. Because of where it is (small village of 1800 in the 2nd poorest county in the state) it doesn't have even a Motel 6 as a competitor. Given that fact (and the overall size/layout of the room) it was overpriced at a net cost of $60/day. Most travelers are in a room for about 10 hours/day-stay. $60 for 10 hours is high. I would not have wanted to see the Lab results of a test on the carpet/bedding in the room. I am fairly confident that they wash the sheets but not so confident about the bedding or the carpet. Having stayed all over the US in facilities from $20/night to $500/night; this just didn't have the feel that I was getting what I paid for. Others attending training were in a different (similar) facility about a mile away and they had similar observations and paid about $40 per night. You are supposed to get what you pay for and in comparing what we got, I do not think I got 50% more.
