Our stay on Moon Lake was nothing short of unforgettable. The houseboat offered the perfect blend of relaxation and charm with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets that made every moment feel special. Captain Joe truly made the experience exceptional, his thoughtful recommendations and attention to detail made everything seamless from start to finish. It felt like we had a local guide ensuring we didn’t miss a thing.The kayaks were such a fun and peaceful addition, giving us the chance to really soak in the beauty of the lake. And the personal touches didn’t go unnoticed, the complimentary pasta and sauce from his cousin was such a unique and thoughtful gesture. Pairing that with wine from the nearby vineyard made for the perfect “take-home” memory.Overall, it felt like an Italian getaway with a Louisiana twist, warm, welcoming, and full of character. We can’t recommend this stay enough and are already looking forward to coming back!

Relaxing getaway!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. House was very clean and had eveything we needed. Use of kayaks was huge bonus. Property location was close to lots of restaurants and stores, but just far enough from everything to still feel remote and peaceful. We will definitely be back!

We loved loved Absolutely loved this property!!! We honestly wished we had booked more nights. The owner was extremely helpful and so welcoming! This place had everything And was just adorable. Beautiful Place

This is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. The marina next door has boat traffic in and out, but it didn’t bother us. There was music playing Friday evening, but you could only hear it outside on the deck. We enjoyed our stay and we would love to visit again.

Perfect For Us!

This boathouse was a surprise to me, we've been to Monroe many times to visit our kids and grands, but never knew about it. I was searching VRBO and came across the boathouse and am I glad I found it!! So clean, comfortable, amazing owner who was on top of all communications, we have a tritoon, 22 ft....had no idea if this lake and boat ramp could accommodate but he assured me it could. We docked right beside the boathouse under shelter.The bed was so comfortable. It was great waking up to a fantastic view. One evening we forgot to grab supper, got back to the boathouse and he had left us spaghetti and sauce!!!!! It was perfect. No complaints at all.
