At $69 it was great. Good eggs and other choices for breakfast. Very comfy bed, clean rooms. Under some sort of renovation, widespread throughout do it looked a little rough. We would stay there again.
This has to be absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed at .You need to be Lewis or Clark to find the place not a single sign and very dimly lit parking lot , no access to hotel from address given on website. When I arrived I should have known from the the parking lot. Trash every where, multiple beer cases, bags of trash . To top it off the multiple vehicles with groups of 3- 8 guys standing or sitting by there cars drinking . Almost intimidating to walk in to the hotel. Once inside the constant stench of weed and cigarettes and the loud and obnoxious people in the halls and next door parting until late all hours even after a calls to front desk. Do everything you can to avoid this place, better off on a park bench .
We booked 7 rooms and in that 4 rooms lost power at mid night. When we informed about no power there was no acknowledgement from the front desk staff as if these are charity rooms. The breakfast was horrible and they don't refill when empty. I would never come to this hotel again and will not recommend this to any one. I never experienced rooms with no power. Non sense!!
Would never stay here again. Service is horrible, security is bad and the atmosphere is horrible. One of the days we stayed no continental breakfast was set out. My daughter who is over 20 would not go to our room by herself because of the atmosphere of the place. Cleanliness was ok.
Hotel needs to be updated badly. The lobby decor was dated and dark and the rooms were the same. The wallpaper was coming off the walls. The rooms were clean but the esthetic needs a lot of work. Dark old carpet and outdated showers. Wifi was not the best either, would freeze several times. I finally just gave up trying to use my computer. As stated, the hotel and rooms themselves were clean, they just need to do some remodeling to bring the hotel up to date.
The common areas are disgusting. We are talking serious black filth. Sloppy housekeeping, corners or edges of carpets not vacuumed, and wallpaper in hallway is peeling. Inside the room the walls were more recently painted and it has newish carpet, but it too has spots that could be easily cleaned. Night stands were dirty, sheets, towels were newish and clean. Old bath fixtures and old furniture. old is one thing, poor management and dirt is another. If management decided to care there could be hope for the property, but as is,one look at the hallway carpet and walls wants to make me leave NOW!
This was the worst hotel I've ever experienced! The first room we were assigned had a smell that took your breath away - After asking to be moved...our second room had puke on the floor under a chair and was filthy! Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Area is not good. Parking lot should be a warning. Lobby unkept. Filthy elevator. Then I walked off the elevator the carpeting was filthy I walked into my room and was appalled the carpeting again was filthy the room look very seedy the sheets look like they had been washed over 100 times the couch was filthy had a very uncomfortable night nothing but the people who worked at the state fair stayed there so they were all carnival workers although it said non-smoking you could smell the smoke and there were big dogs in the rooms next to me a lot of noise throughout the night the next morning I went to take a shower I pulled the shower liner not a shower curtain back and dirty wash towel was on top of the shower bar it was such a terrible night to sleep in a dirty room I cannot believe La Quinta actually puts their name and this terrible unkept horribly maintained place
The only thing 2 stars about this place are the nice, professional dude at the front desk and the room itself is decent. If compared with other 2 star Priceline hotels this should probably be about 1/2 star. Rough neighborhood, very dated elevators and overall look, and the room screams 1975. I guess this is what I get for taking an express deal on Priceline, message received, thank you
This is the first time I'd ever stayed at a La Quinta and I was disappointed to say the least. I was under the impression that it was a nicer chain, but it was very similar to a Motel 6. For starters, it's in a sort of sketchy part of town. It took around 25 minutes to check in because the two desk clerks spent the whole time chatting with what I assumed to be their friends who were inexplicably hanging out in the lobby. The whole place smelled terrible and their were stains everywhere, especially in the hallways outside of the rooms. I stayed on the third floor, which smelled strongly of human feces mixed with some sort of cleaning agent. There were hotel guests hanging out in the hallways talking on their phones pretty much all night and the people in the room adjacent to mind had a party until about 3:00 in the morning. The only reason I'm not giving it a one is that the room itself was fairly nice and clean. Other than that, it was a bad experience.
