We stayed at the Boscolo 6th - 9th April. All staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and efficient on arrival and showed us to our room. A bottle of champagne had smashed in our case and staff were so helpful in wanting to help clean the glass up and provided us with slippers and foot mats around the room to ensure we did not get any shards of glass in our feet! The following day, unbeknown to me, hotel staff worked like troopers in decorating a room (104) in which my boyfriend proposed. Rose petals were scattered along the floor, roses put in place and towels made into swans. The hotel staff also gave us a bottle of champagne and large red rose to wish us well! We were later presented with two complimentary glasses of Prosecco in the roof top bar! Hotel staff were extremely friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble! They also provided an efficient dry-cleaning service and unbeknown to us, our clothes were hung back up in the wardrobe whilst we were out for the day! The hotel itself is beautiful and modern and in the heart of the city! This hotel is situated in a very classy area and is a short walk to the main square. I can not thank staff enough for helping make my engagement weekend so special! They were genuinely pleased and excited for us and went the extra mile! Thank you Boscolo ... You helped make this special weekend a truly memorable one!
We spent 2 nights in this Hotel, on our Business Trip to Milan. Fancy Hotel, great fragrance when you enter to the lobby. Friendly staff! Great rooms, great location in the Center of Milan. Good parking service (just take care of the tight parking - so difficult for a Porsche). Breakfast was very good as well. Unfortunately, no time to discover the amazing swimming pool. Nothing to moan about!
A great hotel. Friendly staff. Clean. Walls are a little thin, you can hear the cleaners in the morning but it didn’t bother us too much. Location is excellent. Complimentary umbrellas available on rainy days. The concierge is excellent, extremely helpful. Would definitely return.
Very attentive service. The staff was is always available and very helpful. The room, although on the small side, was very comfortable and quite. The design is modern but elegant and functional. I will definitely visit the Boscolo again.
Spend here couple of nights with family passing through Milano. Good hotel at great location (just a 5 minutes walk from Duomo) with pretty fancy appearance. Very nice and helpful staff, great breakfast. On the downside, the climate control in one of our rooms didn’t work and wasn’t fixed when we reported it, the gym is very tiny so if you’re looking for fool workout forget it. Tip on parking, the hotel charges 60 a night but you can park at public garage in front of the hotel for 32 a day.
This hotel was supremely disappointing. Dirty shower area where the water kept backing up to the lack of a turn down service. The maid came to our door at 10:00 pm asking if we wanted towels. A room upgrade was not offered although my membership level provides. On a positive note the location is wonderful for the duomo, theater, and shopping.
On the road over 150 nights a year. Have been staying here for years. 7-8 stays in 2017. Funky design in a great location. Now under new management. Marriott executive platinum, no upgrade. Rooms have been stripped of amenities. Coffee makers gone, now instant coffee. Most snacks gone. Even the Kleenex has been removed! The rooftop restaurant, the best feature of the hotel, gone! Now a sterile room with no live music, great view of the Domo, so cold (not temperature) you feel like you are in a motel 6! Asked the staff if the dining was coming back and they said they were under new management and they don't know what they will do with the area! At the checkin was asked if I had ever stayed there before, if the staff had looked at the computer screen they would have seen 8 stays in 2017. Simple Marriott training not being followed. Lobby full of staff, the old staff members are still warm and gracious, buy the new ones are cold and stiff. Time to move to a new hotel. The staff is always a reflection of the management. There are many great hotels in Milan. If you want a warm experience chose another hotel.
The Boscolo in Milan has a wonderful location that takes it away from the touristy parts of down-town and is close enough to walk to the Duomo, Teatro alla Scala, and other local sights. We found the concierge and front desk staff incredibly helpful and polite and it was very easy for us to communicate with them (as we didn't speak a word of Italian!). They also made great recommendations for places to eat and how to get around. We found the room was comfortable, though ideal for a couple. Certainly if you are going with someone who you are less intimate with, you should ask about the shower/bathroom situation. In our room at least, the shower was entirely visible from the bedroom and there was no privacy while showering. While the amenities are nice, the hotel IS starting to show its age a little. The mirrored balls in the pool area are deteriorating, and the weird light fixtures in our room showed wear, where the nylon was a little thin. If you'd like to use the pool, get there early to claim a lounge seat. There's only about 6 or 7 of them, so we were given chairs next to the entrance table, and other people were constantly putting their things down in our space while they checked out the drinks table. It's just not a comfortable space to be in if you don't get a lounger.
We chose the hotel as a Marriott Elite member it seemed like the best place in Milan that belonged to the Marriott Brand. Although the decor was not entirely to my taste there is no doubt it has the wow factor. Modern, trendy, bright and colourful. The rooms was clean and functional, and the bed very comfortable. The spa was a welcome break to sightseeing and the pool a design feature that should not be missed. Breakfast was included as an Elite member and was a great start to the day. God selection of food and drinks and lovely service. The staff at the Boscolo were exceptional. From Monica who checked us in with style and efficiency and with a "can do" attitude to the every welcoming Doorman and front desk staff. Our room was too hot when we arrived and the air conditioning seemed to be set on hot. We mentioned it to the front desk and by the time we got back from dinner the problem was solved and we slept in cool comfort. The concierge managed to get a reservation in a restaurant we were unable to get. A great hotel and one we would love to return to.
Nice boutique hotel in an excellent location close to shopping and Dumo Great friendly staff in front desk, Bell staff and concierge. Rooms had few issues and extremely warm and ac/ heat not working plus few other things. Breakfast buffet average and could have been better on the hot items . Definitely restaurant staff could use some customer service pointers from front desk service guys
