Mercure Milan it is one of the few Accor group hotels situated in the city (at Porta Venezia), location which invite you for a shopping tour on viale Buenos Aires or to take the metro which entrance is at 10 meters from the hotel to bring you directly to Duomo. The hotel will bring you few years back with his interior and style and unfortunately some places need also some work for bringing it "up to date" like the fungi in the corner of the shower or even worse, around the mirror (to not mention the cracks on the wall in the bathroom). Very important to be noticed is that the rooms are clean and this is a big plus (for me). The breakfast is very basic and the hotel don't have his own restaurant, so if you are hungry, they can provide only room service with food from a nearby restaurant. Overall, not the best hotel but the staff working there is very friendly and they try to do their best for their guests pleasant stay.
The Hotel is in the City Center, just in front to the Metro Station. Very easy to find nearby shopping and restaurants and Fast Food. Receptionist/Personnel was kind and professional. Room was not so big, but comfortable, well protected from any outside noise, and well clean. I would return to this hotel. Only two little negative note, Hotel didn't find a way to allow me to a late check out, things that I found commonly in other Mercure Hotel around the world. Breakfast was ok, but certainly improvable in terms of variety, quality of items offered.
We stayed for one night at the Mercure Milano Centro. While the room had just enough space for 2 people. The location is right at the city center so everything is at walking distance. However, we did not have a great stay there. One of the lights in our room was constantly flickering which we reported to the front desk when we went out. When we came back in the evening we realized that they had stuffed a towel over the light. We also realized that quite a few lights in the room including the lights in the washroom weren't working. When we called the front desk, he said, he couldn't do anything and did not have another room to shift us so the earliest something could be done was next day. He wasn't willing to help till we logged a complaint with booking.com. He then came up and called the technician and after much ado nearly an hour later, found a makeshift solution. We had a problem with the front desk earlier as well when we were making bookings. We had refundable bookings payable after stay but the consulate asked us to pay up for our stay upfront for the visa. When we contacted the hotels, of all hotels only Mercure refused to take the money for our current booking. They made us cancel that booking and do a new non-refundable booking. That was an unnecessary hassle as we had to submit the booking numbers again for our visa. The breakfast in the morning was average for 12 euros.
Fantastic location next to the main shopping area in Milan, the metro is close by, the rooms are comfortable with a fridge, free wifi, breakfast is available but we did not try this as there are so many good coffee shops close by, as an Accor member l tend to choose the Mercure brand during my trips to Europe, the hotel had nice friendly staff and they have a good taxi service to the airport at a fixed rate
Location, cleanliness, staff Although the hall is a bit small, and the breakfast could benefit from a bigger room, the bedrooms are neat and tidy, recently renovated, and very quiet. One flaw: there is no bar in the hotel
As an Accor Club Member I chose the Mercure Milano Centro to stay. No problems with the room or service and would happily stay there again. One thing I would say is perhaps give Accor Club Members a bit of priority when upgrading rooms, as I know of a couple who received an upgrade who were not members.
1. Great BOUTIQUE HOTEL with very friendly and helpful staff !! 2. Clean hotel with a beautiful and welcoming sunshine yellow lobby. 3. Location! 90 paces to the Metro Station – 2 stops (6 mins.) to Duomo Piazza. 4. Location! Tram stop just at the street. 5. Location! 2 restaurants right outside - outdoor tables and candlelight at night. 6. Location! 2 doors down to the Jean Louis David Salon !! very good !! 7. Location! At the lovely, uncrowded and open Piazza Guglielmo Oberdan. 8. Location! I felt safe walking the area, even to the grocery 3 blocks away. 9. Quick and good laundry return through the hotel or the nearby self-service. 10. Everyone speaks quite a bit of English!
I was here with my 20 year old daughter. The location was perfect - right next to a metro station that takes you everywhere. The neighborhood was really pleasant. The staff were extremely helpful, and the room was comfortable. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.
Excellent location of the hotel Beside all good restaurants and shopping Hotel is clean B/F was excellent and staff is so helpful and nice Above all it is next door to Metro so travel made so easy Will visit again.
This hotel is very convenient to public transit. A 15-20 minute walk to the historic areas - and has a grocery around the corner. The hotel was very nicely appointed, clean, and the staff were nice. The breakfast was a bit boring and I felt overpriced (but in Milan everything is more expensive). I'd opt to not do breakfast in the future and just get some grocery items or go to a neighboring café.
