In the case that you are used to a regular mercure status hotel, this hotel will be disappointing. The level is at a 2 stars Ibis hotel. (made me comment on the whole story which I actually never do)
Very nice stay at this small boutique type Hotel. Very friendly staff who were prepared to take care of some luggage while we went to London for a week. Also helpful with arranging parking and subsequently transport to Malpensa. Clean comfortable room, en suite with except shower. Quiet at back of Hotel. Boiler and tea and coffee making in room which is not common in Europe. Very good position - Metro is right outside with excellent access to the Duomo square and La Scala etc...
The hotel is very charming. The hotel and rooms are very clean and tidy. The wifi worked very well. The beds are very comfortable. We had a great stay at the Mercure and would use this hotel again. The staff was extremely helpful as well.
We spent 2 nights at this Mercure during our visit to Milan. We arrived rather late, but the person at the reception got us checked in in no time. We walked up to the first floor and found a large room with an even larger bathroom. We were dead tired and had an excellent night of sleep. The breakfast area is right next to the reception. Given the size of the hotel, the offer at the breakfast was very generous. Different kinds of ham and cheese, pastries, fresh bread, all tasted very well. And a friendly lady came around asking what we would like to have as a hot drink. Wifi turned out to be way better than the average hotel. The Mercure has a very good location. The metro stop Venezia is right outside of the hotel and when you cross the road you end up in a nice park. A good 15-minute walk brings you to Il Duomo. Check out was as fast as check in. The lady at the reception was extremely professional and completed our good impression of the hotel. I can recommend the hotel and will certainly return here next time we're in Milan.
The location is super, we managed to walk everywhere without a taxi! Rooms are old and could do with a touch up but nice, everything you need! Hotel staff are pleasant and helpful! Wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again and it was lovely!
This hotel was one excellent choice, this has a competent and professional staff with very nice localization in Milan, close of Metro station, Bus and train points, and the important historic and touristic places. We really want to repeat this experience.
Mercure Milano is an excellent hotel in a beautiful commercial area in Porta Venezia. The metro station is right at the door and a beautiful park is a block away. Hotel has many amenities and excellent service. Clean and relaxing, spacious room with antique decor. Highly recommended.
Great location ,clean spacious room , exceptionally helpful staff as we were attending the football at the san Siro and needed to know how to get there and if we needed to obtain tickets to travel etc. It was a short journey by tram from the central station but had underground directly outside also ... Duomo was only a short journey to walk to from the hotel also. Would return and recommend to others.
This hotel is in a great location, about a 15 minute walk from Duomo but there is a metro line right outside which takes you direct to Duomo and the Castle. You can also get to the central station easily. The hotel is cosy, clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a great restaurant just opposite as well and plenty of others nearby. There are also lots of shops on the street adjacent to it. I recommend!
The metro stop is literally right outside, it's a walkable distance from the Duomo and Galleria, and there are a few local restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is small, but not as charming or distinctive as that sounds. It needs refurbishing and modernization (the heavy metal keys looked like something out of a 19th Century villa). Our room was small and had some wall paper that needed attention. Also, their prices were steeply higher during Fashion Week than they are at other times, and it wasn't worth the elevated price. Breakfast was decent and the staff were very helpful.
