Walls so tin that you hear the other guest talking, snoring, having sex.The double bed was 2 beds attached ( falled every night between them, woke up with back pain). I paid 32 euros for city tax first day at arrivel and did not get a receipt, at the checkout BOOM! surprise I need to pay it again because I did not pay cause I cannot show the receipt!! I was close to miss my bus to the airport because of this fight, payed again and left.
The hotel is a bit far from the centre but you can have a nice 20-minute walk just straight to Castello Sforzesco and to the centre or take a little tram ride. The rooms were nice and cosy. The stuff was always nice. And we had really delicious breakfasts!
First impression was a smell of cleaning. I guess they use electrical parfume dispensers here. Anyway. The room was nice and clean. Bed was nice. Breakfast was fine, (Italian style) staff was very servicemindede and friendly. So in general absolutely no complains.
Stayed here by chance with my original accommodation unsuitable, what a lucky find! Hotels have to be put into context, you do not expect a 3-star to be a 5-star, but Certosa Hotel is trying its best to give you the maximum experience it can provide! The rooms are decorated lavishly, in a grande 'old-school' manner and the staff, especially at reception, are friendly, insightful and accommodating. The only negative is that the building itself needs a fresh lick of paint.
This hotel has a tram station in front of it, so it is very easy to get to downtown. The staff from reception is very friendly and they helped us with any information requested. Indeed the walls are thin. However, we were pleased about this property.
Me and my wife stayed in this hotel 3 nights between 14-17 April 2017. Normally I do not comment on hotels because I do not seek too much from hotels. But this was horrible. It ruined our small vacation. 1- Our room was on the secont floor. There were 3 different wifi spots but none of them worked (or worked weakly, a page is opend in several minutes) and we were totally isolated from the rest of the world. 2- We could not open the balcony door. It was stuck and I was afraid of breaking it. It had an old wooden frame. When we asked the receptionist, he simply ignored. 3- Air conditioning was the worst. We could not open the balcony door. It was like a sauna. I slept almost naked, yet i woke up in sweat in the middle of the night. 4- We could turn the wc lamp on only for the first night. Then somehow it did not work. We used second lamp to enlighten. 5- TV did not function. 6- The walls were so thin that second night we witnessed a couple having an intercourse. Third night, we listened a man snoring the whole night (He shaked the walls). Beside, our sleep was interrupted every single night because of the screams and noises coming from outside. The hotel is located in a really bad neighbourhood. 7- We left the room, door locked, windows closed. When we come back, the windows were wide open. Our belongings were in the room, unsafe. Apparently, the janitor forgot it open. I was really angry because the balcony is used by at least 3 other rooms. 8- At breakfast, we had not many options. It was below average. The bread was hard like a stone. 9- All receptionists were reluctant and adamant. When we asked help for those problems, they opted ignoring. Their English knowledge was really limited. Even the janitor spoke better than the receptionists. 10- When we first checked in, they did not inform us anything. I would expect at least a short introduction. Last year, we stayed at a 2-star hotel in Crete and they informed us about everything without asking and were helpful all the time. 11- The receptionist did not lead us to the free parking outside. Instead, he said, we can park at a nearby indoor garage (For 2 days, 30 euro). All in all, we traveled around with 3 sleepless and horrible nights because of this hotel. The only good thing was that the towel and the room were clean. I am giving one star because of this. But I would not stay at a hotel like this. Never again! Never!
This is a hotel not so far away from the city fair and RHO fair. People there are friendly and reception is open 24h, that's very good. The room I get has no standard windows (that allows sun light to come in) only upper windows. So it wasn't so nice, but clean. It is ok for short staying specially if you have not to stay long time in room but sleep.
I spend education three days in that location and I liked it. First of all is no far from the center, good tram and bus condition to the center ant to the central station. A very good breakfast and clean large rooms. At a very good price.
Hotel is at a central location. There are several busses & trams next to the hotel. Service is minimum. Not quite the talkers. Room is clean, beds are hard and the pillows are flat. Shower is very small, you can't even move in it. Breakfast is minimum, I would not reccomend it.
This small hotel is near by city center and public transport stop. During our visit nothing distrubing happen. Breakfast was very simple and after a few days became monotone - ham, cheese, veggy etc. I hope about scramble eggs, but hotel itself doesn't have kitchen, so they can't prepare anyhing warm, but in price of breakfast is a coffee, cappuccino etc. Disadvantage is a dinner, because as I wrote, hotel don't have own kitchen, so you havd to go out for dinner and discover Milano's restautant. It is a nice, clean and quiete hotel.
