Rates tripled from last year stay. The rooms were the worst I had ever seen. Fancy prices for very very low grade quality. Lack of security features. Just stay away from here and don't waste your money and time.Front desk acts there renting gold. Never offered seniors discounts.
Checked into this hotel for the night. Unpacked the car, and were setting up our portable refrigerator, when we plugged it in, we realized the cord was going over a stove, went to move the cord and touched the burner and got BURNT!! The unit was very hot BUT the burner was not red, as it should have been, Stephen, on duty, came in and found out the unit was malfunctioning and turned it off at the breaker. After finding out from other customers in the hotel that there had been break-ins to trucks parked in the lot, we asked and received our money back. Felt sorry for Stephen at the front desk having to deal with this very poor hotel.
I checked in and I found a dump what a waste of money. .. I took loads of pictures of plumbing, security latch on the front door, the bathroom sink about to fall over and the kitchen faucet loose and moving around....They would not rent to me again because I had a pet...Funny in my 10 day their was dogs all over the hotel...but they took my money every 2 days....What really pisssed me off there was condom wrappers under the bed...so stay away from this drug dealing hotel
In an area where motel prices are extremely inflated, the price here was dirt cheap. The location is not the best in the area and externally not that appealing. This property is more suited for extended stay which is in demand due to the industry in this area. The window for the continental breakfast is very short plus, no coffee in the rooms. That was the bitter part. Now the sweet. The staff was wonderful. Attended to every need. My room was spacious, more like a suite. Though it has seen its day, the room was very clean and absolutely no pests there. Although my room faced the very close RR track, the trains were barely noticeable. I gave this a 3 star because my experience was 3 star and the room served its purpose for a very reasonable price.
I was shocked when I saw the staff before check in . It was cheap , but dirty, moldy, and scary . I think you should find some better if you pay few dollars more . Please don't go there . I will never go back , even for free .
If you don't mind hookers and whatever else running around the hotel or the police being called out then its a go. (I am not sure why they were called). Although they never bothered us, they weren't having loud parties or anything like I had experienced at West Texas Inn. The rooms were big, full kitchen, full fridge and a table. A closet and a large bathroom. The toilet was broken, the light in the bathroom was out, and the fridge wasn't the greatest, other than that the staff was nice. My son spilled milk on the sheets, I removed them and threw them on the floor to be changed, I noticed later that the bottom sheet wasn't replaced, but the top one had. That irritated me and made me wonder if they replaced the sheets ever. Of course I said something to the staff at the front desk and she fixed it and apologized. Overall I don't think the rooms are that bad. The beds are comfortable, they seem clean, the bathrooms are nice and clean, could use a little more work. I have stayed in worse for more money in this area. I would take all these issues over the others.
I booked three nights on Orbitz and checked in the first night. When I returned to the room the following evening my room was cleaned out. All my belongings gone. I went to the desk and informed them I was still there for two more nights and wanted my belongings returned. I was informed that nobody was there so I would need to come back tomorrow. My keys still worked because they were programmed for three nights. A couple of hours later someone came in my room around 10 PM. At that time my keys no longer worked. I went to the office to get new keys and remind them I was still checked in, still wanted my belongings. At that time I got some towels from the office because I had none in the room. A couple of hours later someone else came by looking for someone else. The following day I was informed that there were no belongings in my room, sorry for the confusion. The smoke alarm has no battery and is disconnected sitting on the table. There is a broken wall outlet with the outlet exposed.
Hotel is in horrible shape. Smokey room, filthy carpet, grounds, furniture. Mattress was terrible. Very inept and unfriendly front desk personnel. How can this property have 4 checks in ABVI rating book??? Stay anywhere else!
Because of the "oil boom" in Big Spring, Midland, and Odessa, you will not find a decent priced hotel anywhere! You can find a used and abused hotel every where though! At $150 a night this place is making good money yet the "upgrades" look like they were done by my Pre-k students! The effort is there but the quality is lacking. If you decide to stay here, the big white arrow pointing to the BACK of the property is a big hint; the hotel is behind the other two so go ahead and drive on back! Don't expect a super cheerful receptionist because there wasn't one. She was a lot nicer to my husband than she was to me! Apparently she couldn't figure out I had the right last name but not first name...I didn't have a reservation but my husband sure did! Once that was settled we wind around to our room in the court yard! Trash every where, lighting not the best. Room was big but like I stated earlier was not put together with quality workmanship! Like others complained about, I too found the sheets "looked like" there was a "used" imprint look to them, there was pubic hair on the sheet and some other "fuzzy" things. Coffee pot was broken, knob broken off the cook top. poor hubby couldn't figure out how to get the shower to turn on(pull down on round thing on spigot where the water is coming out). The heat/cool unit looked new and worked well. Yes, there is train tracks behind the hotel. Brought back childhood memories so I didn't mind that part. They didn't blast their horn at least. While hubby said, "it wasn't too bad!", I say we won't be back! If you can avoid these three towns altogether you will be better off. Or, if you can afford $300+ a night there are some very nice hotels on the west side.
This is by far without a shadow of a doubt the WORST HOTEL EVER that I stayed in my entire life. Filthy is an understatement this place in my opinion should be condemned!! I wanted a refund as soon as I walked in room and front desk was very rude and would not give me a refund needless to say that night is one I will never ever forget a living nightmare
