The staff doesn't seem like they want to be there. It wasn't a great experience at all. Food was bad, not all inclusive like we know everything was limited and bartenders take forever to make drinks sometimes there would be 3 bartenders and 4 people waiting for a drink and it could take up to 15 mins to get a drink when they decided to acknowledge you.

This hotel has a horrible way to separate guests from members and non members. If you are not a member they provide a terrible service at the same time you can see that members got a better service that make you feel horrible because that money that you spent in this property don't mean anything to them

First thing first the hotel is far.. 2nd there service was horrible they ain’t show us around our first day there they just took us to the room…. 3rd we booked an excursion with them next thing you know they cancelled that on us…. I had three days left to stay there I had to check out to go somewhere else it’s very bad I did not like my stay here at all!!!!!

We were very satisfied with our stay at Viva Miches. The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. The shower had good water pressure, and the AC worked well. The restaurants were great — the buffet had different themes each day, and there are four additional restaurants on site. We were able to book the Mediterranean and Atlantic restaurants, and both were very enjoyable. A special thank you to Daniel and Deivi at the Atlantic restaurant — they truly went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We also did a kayaking trip and my son loved it. The staff throughout the resort were friendly and helpful. The bars had plenty of drink options, and overall the food and amenities exceeded our expectations. My son even said he wants to come back someday. If I had to suggest improvements, it would be nice if the swimming pool hours were extended a bit later, and adding photos of the menu items at the à la carte restaurants could help guests know what to expect. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return!

Hard working staff, good air conditioner in rooms. Food is fresh but preparation and choices are poor. Would never go there again because of mosquitos problem and sand flies. Hotel doesn’t make attempts to spray or fumigate the property at least the pool area with annoying flies. Used OFF mosquito repellent entire canister within first day but it didn’t save me from sand flies The only store on the property sell mosquito repellent for over $23 US dollars. Visited DR over 30 times- never ever had such a terrible experience.

“Very good location, lots of staff, but a few times we came across a lazy shift at the bar, or they just wanted tips. We didn’t notice this with anyone else. Super friendly and very attentive in the buffet. Worth noting the cake they gifted for the birthday, as well as the complimentary sweets in the room and champagne, plus they decorated the room with balloons. The rooms are clean, the linens are decent, and we have no complaints about the kitchen either

Rooms was beautiful and staff was great. Especially Darling. He was great. he was the bartender at the swim up bar. Noelia, Antonio were all great. Many more that I cannot remember My different rating was because of management. We stayed for 3 days and we could only make reservations for 1 night. The other nights we had to eat at the buffet restaurant which was good. We wanted to eat at a nice place. When we complained to Juste, from guest services, she stated she would call me back but we have already left the resort and we are still waiting for the call back. Place was to go with family and food was great. They were also doing upgrades but resort just opened. I didnt understand that.

Biggest disappointment ever. Check-in was a nightmare because they mixed up reservations (didn’t bother checking first names on our passports). AC in our room didn’t work, and despite hours of complaints, we only got a fan after arguing. It wasn’t fixed until the next day. Rooms look nice but showers flood the floor. Buffet was average with dirty glassware and inconsistent service. Staff often ignored us once they realized we didn’t speak Spanish. One chef even made rude “jokes” about the food being cat or donkey meat. This is nowhere near a 5-star resort. I wanted to leave the first day. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

Very competent staff and extraordinary cleanliness in general. Excellent food and drink. Extraordinary beach and free of sargassum. In the late afternoon, sometimes must be cautious with very small mosquitoes on the beach.

This was the worst resort experience of my life. We booked 4 rooms under 3 reservations and check-in was a mess. It took over 10 minutes to explain that two names on separate bookings were different people. Unlike other guests who were welcomed, helped with luggage, and given a tour, no one assisted us. A security guard simply walked us to our rooms. The air conditioning nightmare began immediately. We were told it “just takes time” to cool, but hours later the rooms were over 30°C. Only then did staff admit the A/C had been broken for a while. We were promised fans several times with excuses like “no more fans” or “on the way,” until a group of Spanish-speaking guests complained and someone opened a back room to hand them out. One room’s internet didn’t work at all, and staff did absolutely nothing to fix it. Our front door didn’t close properly, and after complaining, we returned to find it wide open. Staff dismissed it with “sometimes it happens” and told us to use the safe. No apology, no room change. Cleanliness was poor. Showers weren’t cleaned or draining, and dishes were washed where mop buckets were rinsed. If you don’t speak Spanish or Italian, expect to be ignored. Food at the “a la carte” restaurants was the same or worse than the buffet, and despite “full bookings,” dining rooms were half empty. We contacted Viva Wyndham customer care multiple times, only to get the same copy-paste promise that the resort would reply “soon.” Now back from our trip, nothing.

Had an incredible time while here. Absolutely beautiful property. Staff was friendly and helpful. We thought the speciality restaurants were ok, the Latin fusion was the best and really good. The Buffet was great with good options with theme nights daily. We would certainly go back.

The resort was very nice, staff were very friendly, however the location from Punta Cana was so far it was very costly to do anything and there wasn’t anything close by the hotel.
