That was pleasant, room with small however clean and modern. We were allowed to check in early however we had to check out early because of hurricane Arma and we were given back a day that we weren't able to stay for which was nice

Centrally located, Art Deco Miami feel. Very basic hotel rooms with everything you would need along with friendly staff. Would love to come back again!

I booked the clay hotel a month in advance and requested a double bed with a balcony I even called two weeks prior to confirm that I could get what I requested...time of arrival they sent us to a room with no balcony notified the clerk at front desk she acted as if she was going to put us in a room we wanted...they moved us to another room that still didn't have a balcony so by this point were over it she stated that she didn't have any more balcony rooms available even though I called a month ago...another thing is I didn't know the hotel didn't have a elevator so all the big luggage you have to tote will be up and down stairs...the hotel has a funny old odor and they took away their breakfast...but on the bright side it's close to just about everything....

It was a really good vacation time Every body in the hotel were really nice and attentive to me

HORRIBLE! As a frequent flyer I have never experienced something like this before. The front desk stayed in office knowing I was waiting for over 10 minutes. He would look over and and say nothing till he finally decided to come over and ask what I needed. He had others there just hanging out which made it feel very unsafe. Everything was old and dirty and they changed my reservation with no notice.

Upon arrival we felt welcome. We booked 2 other places before landing at clay. We took a refund and the 3rd time was the charm. Very convenient and close to all the fun. The only thing that was missing was an elevator but at least we only had one fly up to get to our room.

If you want to be right where all the food and night activities are then this is the Hotel for you. If you get the bigger rooms with a balcony it can be very entertaining. You can just hang out on your balcony and people watch It is a great value and only a couple blocks from the beach. You can walk to the cheaper supermarkets and get great Cuban food if you don't want to spend all your money on the expensive restaurants. It's also not far from shopping on Lincoln rd. This hotel is where AlCapone stayed when he was doing his business in Miami in the 1920s. So cool and historical. The best hidden secret in Miami Beach.

They are under construction with the floor & the walls being painted new carpet rooms are to tight. No safe or refrigerator in the room also where was the other part to the shower door.

It was horrible get sleep and cheep place. Staff was nice.

The hotel has a wonderful Spanish charm and the staff is more than accommodating. We arrived at the hotel at 9AM and not only did they allow us to check in early but they upgraded us to a room with a balcony. It's not the Loew's or one of the higher end hotels however it is perfect if you want to experience more of a local scene. I cannot say enough about this hidden gem. If you are looking for an art deco, Spanish vibe, off the beaten path kind of experience, I suggest The Clay Hotel.

For the price it was well worth the stay. The location is perfect. You are near the beach and great restaurants.

Had a four day stay at the clay. The hotel is old but all you are paying for is a place to sleep if you're coming to south beach. There's a lot to do but my wife and I spent most of the time lounging on the beach, which is only two blocks away. The hotel has an agreement with Esteban's beach service which provides you with two loungers and an umbrella as part of the hotel package. In all we had a great stay and would recommend the clay to anyone looking for affordable accommodations who are not expecting to be pampered. That's not what this place is about.

Had roaches don't stay. Wouldn't stay for free. Breakfast was bad. Room small and bad smell.

This was my third time staying at this hotel. This hotel is a bargain in South Beach when compared to the prices of other hotels. With the money you save by staying at this hotel, you can budget all the more money towards splurging in other things. Although the hotel is not brand new, it is definitely clean and I felt completely at home. My room was also quiet at night and I stayed there for 6 days. There are restaurants all around of varying price ranges. There is a small supermarket just across the street where you can buy just about anything you would eat at home. There is also a daily resort fee of $16, which covers the costs of two chairs and umbrella at the beach as well as towel service. I would have had to of paid twice as much to get a hotel closer to the beach and that would have left me less money for splurging.

First time in Miami with my boyfriend and 2 friends (another couple). Great area ! Right in the middle of pretty much everything. 2 blocks down from the beach. Our room had a balcony, and the staff was very friendly. Only problem we had was one of our rooms door lock wasn't working so they switched them into a king size room. So it worked out. Had a great time. Only wish the hotel had a pool. Other than that, I would recommend it.

Need to improve a lot the breakfast. For a continental breakfast only waffles and toast it's very poor!

Not a big fan of dead pigeons on balcony. becoming just a sleeping headquarter with climbing rates, stuffing the place with as many rooms they can by eliminating a beautiful guest lobby on second floor sad.

They rented like it's in Washington Street and it's a full block away in a place that is nothing like they're advertised

Great location and price . It also comes with refrigerator and microwave

I was not comfortable with the condition of the hotel ...it needs a update bad and the rooms and hallways stink and the balconies is not safe
