The location of South Beach Plaza Hotel was great! If you’re looking for a place to just sleep and shower this is a good place to stay. There are some downsides to this place. One, there is no mini fridge. We improvised and bought ice from across the street and used a bucket. Two, the shower kept changing temperature without warning. One minute it would be warm then all of a sudden hot and then cold. The biggest issue we had was Sunday morning through early afternoon there was no power!! The hotel did not apologize for this inconvenience! They just said we don’t know when it’s coming back on. We didn’t need it during the day, but at night we would. There was no apology or compensation for this inconvenience. Location is awesome! You have the beach two blocks away and Ocean Dr is the next street over. If you’re a flexible go with the flow person then is fine. If inconveniences ruin your mood for a vacation then don’t stay. This place gets the job done for a low price.
Great location not too far from shopping and the beach! Only think I’m upset about is that, I been trying to call the property about billing and nobody answers the phone.
Convenient, clean, polite and nice staff ... i have no complaints.
Rooms were spacious and updated. The hotel is in perfect location close to beach and all the action. Not much for amenities: no pool and no gym but I’d stay again!
Stayed in one of the rooms past the garden area (really, a small set of restaurant tables that they call the garden). The room was quiet and clean, had a kitchen, but the only items provided were 2 plates, no cutlery, cups, or anything else. The stove had a sticker saying it was not operational, we did not try the microwave and actually did not eat in the room anyway. The staff was a bit hard to deal with, we asked for extra items: cups (there were none in the bathroom), and blankets (with the AC cranked so high). They provided the items, but it took calling, then going to the front desk several times. Parking is hard, they have valet parking, but no instructions on arrival as to how to use it. We ended up parking overnight elsewhere (parking garage is 2 blocks away). Shout out to the great night operator: clearly not a safe area, had someone get shot in front of the hotel and police shut off the entrance to the hotel (entire streets front / side). We were able to get in via the back alley service door to the hotel (called the night operator who opened for us).
Perfect location! Hotel could use some upgrades. Hotel staff could be friendlier.
Got what I expected for the money. Was relatively cheap so couldn't expect much. Your agent who helped change my original booking at the Geneva was great. Still waiting for my credit though. You should not quantify the Geneva as a hotel. It is more of a motel or shelter. I can't imagine having stayed there. Thanks
I got everything more than I expected except the smell when enter to the hotel. It is very strong. Also you can hear everything form your next door. Please think about it.
Our first room was not clean, had insect, outdated, furniture was all scratched and warped. Bathroom was dirty and the floor and overall condition was terrible. Good point: they moved us to a cleaner room when we complained. But the TV was from 1990. It was a definite upgrade from the first, but it was considered the top room. But very far from the top. We'll never go back.
Took 2 hours to check me in due to poor room cleanliness. First room was a double when I booked a king( since I'm a lone traveler two beds is not necessary) second room was a king but not clean at all! Finally I was so frustrated I just wanted to take any room that was clean and available. Again I got double beds. Kinda loud in the early morning due to construction. Staff was nice, but for price compared to other quaint places on the beach NOT WORTH IT AT ALL! I would've changed hotels if it wasn't a guarantee that I would get back my $600 for 4nights due to their cancellation policy which is outrageous, and left to the discretion of a manager. Beware of booking as they have a 100% non refundable fee policy.
Peeling paint. Rusted door hinges. A tub shower (NOT great) that didn't drain (Really NOT great). Yuk! A breakfast that was 100% 7-11.
Great hotel. Great location. Great price. I will recommend this hotel to my friends back home.
The room was either really cold or hot and had fruit flies flying around idk why. Breakfast was bad I didn't even want it if it was free.

Thank you for your feed back. Glad you enjoyed of your room and sad to hear your concerns about the incident that happened across the street from our property. As you well explained, the incident was outside the hotel and unfortunately beyond our control or the way the police department handle it. So far we tried in all cases to accommodate our guests and make sure they have the best experience possible. Hoping to have you again under better circumstances. Kindly Salutes you
Ok. Thank you?
