It is an great location, you will find everything close to it. They have a good staff. Breakfast is really good.... dinner is no that great but always there are so many options around the hostel. The beach is just 10 minutes walking.

very good experience! the people who work there are awesome hosts and the price is very cheap for the quality! the only negative thing is the cold showers...its a good place to stay if your alone or with friends and willing to meet new people! i wouldn't really recommend this as a couple

Pros: * The staff is excellent. * The location is excellent, close to beaches and bars/restaurants. * The place is fairly clean, the bathrooms get cleaned once or twice a day I think. * Free breakfast (waffles/pancakes, fruit) and free dinner (rice and beans) - pretty solid food! * The bar is pretty cheap, has great deals. * They give you free stuff to take to the beach with you (towels, sun umbrella, frisbee, soccer ball). * They give you a free drink. * They arrange party buses EVERY DAY. You pay around $25 for 30 minutes of free drinks with other hostel guests, and they take you via bus to a nightclub or a pool party (and bring you back to the hostel), all for $25. The nightclub is pretty expensive though ($16 cocktails, etc). CONS: * Bunk beds are a bit on the small side, and the ceiling is very low. If you're a tall person and stuck on the top bed I feel very sorry for you (that's what happened to me). I ended up taking out the mattress from the top bunk and putting it on the floor - it worked well for me. * The place is VERY noisy at night, and the dorms are far from sound-proof. If you go to sleep early (i.e. to catch an early flight), you will hear a lot of noise from the hallway, mostly around 11pm (when the kids go out to party) and 3am (when the kids are back). The guests don't care at all about being quiet, I even heard a kiddo dribble a beach ball in the hallway at 4am. So bring earplugs and prepare to get crappy sleep. * Shared bathrooms are a bit small, and even though they get cleaned daily, you may sometimes find unpleasant things there (think vomit). OVERALL: They are unbelievably cheap overall, for what you get. You will not find a better deal than this if you want to save money! If you are into beaches and some partying, don't mind loud noises at night (either because you'll be partying or you're a very heavy sleeper), don't mind sharing bunk beds and not having your own bathroom, this place is for you. The location is incredible, there's so many cool things around, or within a short taxi ride. Miami is pretty awesome. If you taxi to Wynwood (20 minutes out), you'll find lots of really cool clubs and bars.

It's my second time in Miami Beach and my second time at SoBe. I really like this hostel. The staff is very friendly and cool. I love the parties with them. We are going to the best clubs in Miami. You can go carefully

The first thing is this place is excellently priced. I think I paid about $20 a night, which in comparison to what a friend of mine payed for his hostel about a mile away was great value for the price! It was also better in every sense when I compared it with where my friend was staying so I was very happy with SoBe. First of all when I approached it I could tell it was going to be fine. People were chillin' outside the building eating lunch/dinner, sippin' on a cold beer or just chatting having a smoke. It was very inviting. Going through the front door it had a good vibe. The bar is the first thing you see and thats right up my street! Cold beers for a great price! It was 2 for $6.50 when I got there (you get a free one on check-in too so my first 3 beers for a dollar fifty less than I was paying for one on the strip! Good times!). Check-in was hassle free and the guys on the deak are very friendly and knowledgeable. They seem to have a genuine interest in you and what you're going to be up to as well which just makes that American service we all know the more better! Facilities are fine, rooms are tidy and tidied by staff regularly and the shower facilities are cool. Only thing to add here would be the hair dryer didn't seem to work and the wifi didn't seem to reach the back far end of the building so web surfing was limited in my experience when in my room (right at the staircase end). I didn't partake in any of the organised events they put on but the fact they have something every night is awesome! a lot of people staying there did go out on the bar hops/party bus etc and it looked like they all had fun! The hostel make a good effort to get people being sociable and it is great that they do this daily! Prices look good for the offers and like I said before you can just tell this place is all about good times. You can wash clothes on site which is good and you can buy food right next door. It's in a prime location to begin your beach front walk up the strip and right next to Walgreens (5 mins walk) so it really does have it all to offer. The fact you get all this for a great price is wicked! Would I stay again? Thats a yes, 100%. Good job guys! Really enjoyed it!

Loved this amazing hostel located right behind the South Beach. For 25$ per night, the facilities exceeded expectations, with free breakfast and dinner, one free drink, and free entry to some super cool clubs and the best part is, they take you there on a party bus. The rooms are clean and towels and linens are provided by the hostel. Since this is located in a prime area, everything is pretty close by, and downtown can be easily accessed by a bus. Lockers are provided by the hostel, though you might want to take a lock with you to lock your locker. The only thing I thought was a little okay-ish were the bathrooms which should be cleaned twice a day since there are so many people using it. But, other than that, the hostel was great. Ideal for tourists on a budget and those who are okay with sharing rooms and not particular about noise in the rooms. Super friendly staff, good food, very cheap accommodation, gorgeous city, prime locale and the chance to meet so many people from different parts of the world is ideally why a person on a budget should be staying at this hostel. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Miami! Thanks for a great stay despite the sweltering heat.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at SoBe. The staff are super friendly and this hostel has great vibes. The location is in a prime area and everything is so close by. The hostel provides pretty much everything other than lunch. Be sure to get to dinner by 6pm or there isn't going to be anything left. The hostel bar is super cheap, so do all your pre-drinking right there! Also, if you intend on staying for 3 nights or more, their party package is totally worth it. Free drinks at the hostel for an hour, a party bus and free entry into ORA ($50 normally). The girls also got access to the VIP area and we had unlimited free drinks there too. Couldn't have asked for much more. Definitely worth every penny and I would go back here without any hesitation. Of course, if you're looking for a quiet place then this hostel isn't for you. Also, do check out their tour packages once you get there if you're a first timer in Miami.

It is a decent hostel and considering the price you pay at south beach I have to give it a 4 star review. It would be a 3.5 if I had that option. Ofcours there are many things needed to be improved before they even scratch the surface of a 5 star. 1. Beds, metal bunkbeds with plastik matrasses. Decent 2. Aircondition a but noisy, not the best nor most efficient. Our room got a very locked in smell after the night. 3. Bathrooms have a tendency to not have toiletpaper at times. 4. Breakfast is not something to shout hurray for. Either a dry bagel with cream cheese or a waffle with either an apple or a banana. We didn't try the free dinner. 5. The bar is alright, but I huge NO NO NO was that I got a glass for beer with lipstick stains on, not just discreet but all over. Seriously disgusting. Makes you think how they wash their glasses. When I came up and complained not even a sorry just a quite annoyed what beer do you want and then I got a new beer but in a much smaller cup than the glass I've payed for. Lousy service. 6. Good with some free beachchairs and beach tennis. 7. 24 hour reception 8. Good location 9. Loud at weekends, expect a lot of wandering in and out of the rooms. 10. They didn't reply regarding the mythological free airport shuttle. All and all it is an okey hostel. Considering the location and the price you usually pay at south beach it is a rather good deal but the hostel have many small issues needed to be solved before I can call it a good hostel.

This place had lots of shopping to do and the prices where reasonable if you are looking for things for party or just everyday stuff this is it we where not able to walk all of it because we ended up going to the wrong end so it got to late..

Myself and my friend stayed for 2 nights and the place was so nice and easy accessible to all location. They do have cheap entry tickets to the STORY nightclub and free unlimited drinks before the party.. yayy... we utilised the most of it and ended up remembering nothing.. that's really a crazy place.. also, We booked a tour to Key West with the third party agent with SoBe and that's the cheapest price we could ever find in Miami. The place is so social and you can BYOB to kitchen and drink.. The place has got so much energy and the stay to be remembered in Miami (we actually stayed in another hostel in ocean drive for a day during Memorial Day weekend and that place was just nasty). Keep up your good work SoBe Team. Cheers
