Great location and plenty of parking.
The hotel is not fancy. You are pretty much paying to stay right on the beach. Restaurants and shops are walking distance. Not too far from downtown Miami for nightlife.
The staff was very friendly. Accommodated our needs. The room was clean but very outdated. The kitchen drawers couldn't even be opened. Overall pleasant experience.
It was a very low grade motel for the $250/night rate. We saw blood marks of bed bugs on the mattress Front desk staff kindly refunded us for our 3 nights when we showed him photos
The location...in a quite area, but right next to all the attractions which is walkable!
The location to the beach was the best - the pool was awesome and the price was right However if they spent just a little money to upgrade things like the roof , clean up the parking lot, fix the tiki hut or make it a towel hut it would go from an 8 to a 10 !!!upgrade the bedcovers just simple things - i wish i had some money to invest in this place cause i think it wouldnt take too much to upgrade - the lobby and people were so nice tho
This is an old school motel. No frills. It is right out of the 1960’s. But it was very very clean. Very quiet. The pool was nice. It is right on a beautiful beach in key Byscane for a very very good price. I liked its retro vibe. If you want a Marriott or Ritz Carlton you will pay $500-$700 a night here. I prefer to spend money on dining and activities. This was about $170 a night. Has a kitchenette.
Great place to stay.

Love this place and plan to stay again for a week.
Key Biscayne is a beautiful and safe place. The hotel needs to be remodeled.
I loved that it was right on the beach. It was also clean. I didn’t like that it’s was very old and a few fruit flies hanging around. I could also hear my neighbors talking.
Alternative throwback lodging in Key Biscayne. Quality for the price
Good experience for a 2 star hotel. Rooms are clean and location excellent, right on beach. Even received complimentary late checkout.
This motel is on the coast in one of the most exclusive areas in the country. It sits next to a 5-Star Ritz Carlton costing at least 4 times the price per night. This was a business trip as our band was playing an event at the Ritz and we needed reasonable overnight lodging. Silver Sands was just fine for this. They did not have my Orbitz confirmation when I called to verify, however the staff was helpful in getting us our room and honored the Orbitz price with no issue. This is an older motel and I would not recommend it for a week-long family vacation, but for an overnight in a fancy neighborhood, it's quite acceptable. it appears that the motel is undergoing upgrades so it's likely to get better over time. I would stay there again under similar circumstances.
The resort was no hustle or bustle. It was a good place to stay. It could use some updates to the rooms, but other than that it was a nice place to stay
Great beachfront hotel. Go with the gardenview or cottages for a more resort-like experience. Plenty of great and affordable food options within a short drive, 10 minute walk, or delivery. Take advantage of the kitchenette with your own drinks (no glass by the pool).
Silver Sands Beach Resort places you next to Key Biscayne Beaches and within a mile (2 km) of Crandon Park. This 50-room hotel has an outdoor pool, free in-room WiFi, and free self parking.
Guests can expect to find free WiFi and cable TV. Bathrooms have hair dryers and free toiletries. Refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee makers are also available.
Guests staying at Silver Sands Beach Resort enjoy an outdoor pool, free WiFi in public areas, and a garden. You can take advantage of free parking if you drive. Front-desk staff can help secure valuables, and provide local restaurant recommendations.
