I would NEVER stay here again. We moved rooms twice, as the first night a club 2 doors down was blasting music all night -- so loud that the walls were vibrating. The rooms were absolutely freezing. We complained, but nothing was done about it and there is no way to control the temperature yourself. The 2nd room we had had soiled linens, which included a blood stain on the duvet. I asked for the linens to be replaced, but they weren't!!! The bath tub contained long black hair. It was disgusting. I'm a blonde and my husband has very short hair. After walking around barefoot in the room, my feet were black! The phone didn't work in either room. The view ocean room view was a joke. It was an ocean view by a little peak if the palm trees swayed ever so much. It is very dated, with hardly any electrical outlets. I've never written a bad review of any place before. I was compelled, as to save future travels from this disgust and disappointment.

We just spent almost a week at the Richmond, our 5th or 6th stay over the past 8 years. We keep coming back! It is NOT a chain, a modern high rise extravaganza resort. It is a family run Art Deco hotel in a prime location which has kept it's character intact.

Rooms could use some new carpet/flooring. Great vintage property with awesome location and pool and beach access. Staff is great!

Hotel was at a good location in south Miami beach. Got a deal at $99/night, and so not at a bad price. Though the deal included free 'continental breakfast,' this really consisted of just some scrambled eggs and toast. The receipt ironically said 'cold buffet.'

I loved this Hotel. The pool area left a lot to be desired- more like someone's back yard pool than a Beach hotel pool, but the guest rooms were very nice and the staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly. I would definitely stay at Hotel Richmond, again. It is old school Miami, to be sure!

Met some lovely people there and we keep in contact still.

We were welcomed with smiles and access to our room even tho we were there 2 hours before check-in. Chairs on the beach and beach towels were included in our resort fee, along with internet which worked well. A free cocktail for each of us to drink while relaxing at the pool after our long drive was wonderful.

The room was old and shabby. Bathroom creepy. Excellent location on Collins but the room was just dated and gross.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location.

The place charges for everything you need on top of everything you will prepay, the workers were very nice and I understand they only follow protocol.

Loved the retro feel! Clean, friendly nice hotel with great pool and close to beach & nightlife. Dated but in a cool art deco way. Would stay again.

Very charming smaller hotel with all of the basics covered. If you want a clean place right on the beach then this is your spot.

The hotel itself is ok.The lobby is upgraded and very nice however the rest of the facility is dated but clean. Do not spend the extra for ocean veiw. You cannot see any of the ocean due to the large palm trees blocking any veiw. Valet parking is expensive due to the fact there ia no where to park

I would've given this hotel a higher rating, but we had to move due to our room not having hot water. The first room was also very small and in need of some updating. We informed the front desk of the water issue and they upgraded us to a nicer/brighter room overlooking the pool and the beach. Hotel staff provided us with beach chair vouchers and new towels each morning. They even gave us a complimentary continental breakfast voucher and extra beach chair vouchers for friends that were not staying at the hotel. Overall, we had a great experience and would stay again as the hotel in on the beach and in a great South Beach location.

It was less than expected. Staff was very friendly, but hotel room was out dated and in poor condition. Wanted to check out after checking in. Very strange smell in room had to keep the window open throughout the stay. Bathroom in room was less than clean. Would not stay again.

The staff was excellent. Keno the valet can give you any information you need to know about the city. Nice place to stay.

My experience was awful. The air condition didn't work. The bathroom was dirty. I would not recommend this hotel.

It is a lie , the hotel is worse than it looks like and very old

Walked right out the pool area to the beach. The drinks on the beach was pricey, kind of odd since they make them at the hotel. Other than that great service and food.

'continental' breakfast - not so much

great hotel in the heart of everything

I loved this Hotel. The pool area left a lot to be desired- more like someone's back yard pool than a Beach hotel pool, but the guest rooms were very nice and the staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly.
