Great price for a hotel directly across from the beach

This hotel was filthy, in a bad part of town, people were hanging out and smoking pot as you walked up the front stairs. The cleaning product they use is atrocious.Hotel is old and needs to be modernized.

The hotel facilities are just OK, and the location next to the beach is OK. However, they don't know anything about Customer Service. Besides what I paid online, I had to pay $20,43 resort fee upon check-in. When I paid at the Front Desk, I gave $20 in cash, and the person at that time told me I could give her the remaining 43 cents later (before I did check out, I was staying 2 nights) Then I went out, I went I came back in the evening of the first night my door wouldn't open. I went to the Front Desk and they told me they locked my door and wouldn't open it again I would pay the 43 cents balance due.

I was very into the art deco style and pink interior. Definitely not the place to stay if you're looking for something fancy, but perfect if you're on a budget. It's right on the beautiful north beach, I loved the neighborhood its in. My only annoyance was getting charged the daily fee for use of chairs and beach towels but then there never being any towels or chairs available.

Enjoyed the closeness to the beach . We enjoyed a beach front room with a balcony . My mother , 93, enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the view . The neighborhood was quiet and pleasant ; had stores and restaurants ,conveniently , a block away from the hotel .

Don't book this hotel. Terrible stuff they have. We were waiting for a blanket from the moment we checked in until we checked out.

Close to the beach but everything is outdated and the bathroom is dirty.

I wanted a cheap place, right on the beach, for a 4 day getaway. Obviously, cheap and on the beach are usually contradictory, so my expectations were low coming in. The location IS pretty good: Right across a parking lot from the beach, with the ocean walk in between. Walgreens, CVS, and lots of shops & restaurants within a block or two. Half block from Collins Ave, which means all the buses you could want are close at hand. All that being said, the hotel itself was in iffy shape at best. The staff was wonderful, and always very helpful & responsive. When I checked in, they told me that my room was in the building next door, rather than the one with the hotel name on it. The first room I went to didn't have a fridge, even though I was told by Jose on the phone that all of the rooms had one. They found me another room, which did have a fridge, but it wasn't exactly pretty. The hotel is obviously quite old, and though they do try to keep it clean, it's just old, and they aren't doing anything to make it better. Of course, they know they're getting the cheapest on the beach business, so maybe they don't really want to fix it up and raise rates. The TV was an old ~21" box, and only got about 8 channels in the daytime, and 6 at night. (really!) My window looked out across a pedestrian alley with dumpsters, to another condemned building, with the windows boarded up AND barred! I was here over the super bowl weekend, and didn't want to go party and spend a bunch for t

I knew the hotel would be modest, based on other guest reviews. I suspected they were just overly picky. Stay here if you don't mind if the A/C doesn't work and that the bathroom isn't terribly clean.

Well if you don't mind staying in a room with the bare essentials, then this is the spot for you. I had a single room #19 with the balcony, which was better than the other rooms, but still needs updated. They have a prime location, the view from the room with the balconies are amazing. The beach is amazing, I actually took a nap for a hour or so just laying right on the beach. Other than that, the hotel does need an overhaul, and once they update the place, I'm sure they would get better reviews.. btw, the staff was amazing, and prime location again.. just make sure you request the rooms with the balcony, still very dated, but tolerable because of the Terrance..

1st room the tv was broken.. The phone didn't work.. The beds were hard as a rock... The fridge didn't close and there wasn't a hair dryer.. And the shower was leaking.. The staff Jose was awesome he put us in a different room.. And The 2nd room had updated beds.. but half a hair dryer?? Lol but if your looking for a cheap place just to crash this would be it..

I visited this hotel in September and the price was very low. Desk staff changed my room twice when I moved in to make sure I was happy with the room for my one week stay. I had the choice between a room with carpeting and with a tile floor. I chose a tile floor due to the close proximity to the beach. The room and bathroom were very clean. There was no continental breakfast.

So many things wrong with this place. The elevator has been broken for years, you pay for loungers and towels but there's only 6 rusty chairs to share with the rest of the guests, there was no refrigerator in our room and lastly there is no parking as stated in the advertisement. On the plus side the staff was friendly and really made an effort to engage with you.

Economical hotel with no amenities. They offer no cable, no breakfast, no pool, no microwaves in rooms but you do get charged additional resort fees.

3 trips to front desk re keys. Room was hot, humid, and appliances are old. No cable. AC in room wasn't working when they assigned us that room. So another 2 trips to front desk re yet another issue. I spent most of my first day up & down stairs going to main building demanding respect for my $$$$

I Wil not stay at this hotel price wise ok but hotel is nasty .I stood there for my birthday never again i will xtra money somewhere else and i found a roach in my room I have pictures and video

Listen when i walked in.. I was literally flooored!!! Oh my god!! It was something out of a movie scene. stained sheets, dirty floor walls lamps remote tv the bathroom was repulsive.. Oh my god!! I cannot deal. Im 25 years old and ive stayed alot of places like motel 6. And that is like a 4 star hotel compared to ocean surf . Lol but dont listen to me . Go check it out before u book it . You will no regret it ! Trust. #Neveragain.

I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE NOT EVEN TO MY WORST ENEMY THE PICTURES OF THE ROOMS HAVE NOTING IN COMMON WITH THE SMALL TINY ROOMS.

I really likes this hotel. I went with friends before going to a cruise so we didnt wanna spend that much money and this hotel was really good for that. The only bad thing was the breakfast.. Really bad
