Guild Miami - Downtown4.0 out of 5.0

We just stayed for one night before our cruise, but it was really great. The staff was helpful and nice, the rooms were clean, and the restaurant/bar on the first floor was really good. We will definetly stay here next time we are visiting Miami.
We stayed at Guild because we were attending the match of Miami Heat at AA Arena at the evening. The hotel is rather difficult to find because there are not signs outside, but once you find is simply perfect. Quick check-in, very nice rooms with kitchen, parking on site (20us$/night), great fitness center and swimmingpool. The hotel is few steps from Bayside and AA Arena. Perfect stay!
We chose this hotel because of its nearness to the Port of Miami. Just a quick 3 minute drive to the port. In fact, from our balcony we were able to see the smokestack of our cruise ship. We got a 2-bedroom suite for our 6 family members and did not feel at all crowded. We arrived late in the afternoon and walked across the street for pizza and in the morning walked out the front of the hotel and just a few feet to McDonald's for breakfast. We had 3 children with us and they loved the pool and common spaces. Ping-pong, foosball and a movie room were all available. The room was so new it still smelled new! We weren't there long enough to use the kitchenette, but it was fully stocked and ready to use. We had booked early and got a great rate. The one negative was that we were awakened by the sound of a truck backing up for what seemed like the length of the hotel. Not the hotel's fault. Overall we were very pleased with this choice.
Our time at The Guild started poorly with a slightly patronizing welcome. Tip for the staff: don't congratulate the old folks for managing to make it through the automated check-in; it is demeaning. Our room was pretty much as expected, with a few relatively small issues. Temperature was controlled through a Nest thermostat, and its use is not obvious to someone who does not live with one. We were able to look up instructions online, but it would have been nice to have simple guidelines available in the room. Of course, we could have called on staff for assistance, but having already been categorized as clueless fogies we were reluctant to expose ourselves to additional condescension. Cell phone service was minimal to none inside the room, better on the balcony. However, it was quite noisy on the balcony; we kept the door shut most of the time although we would have enjoyed having it open for air. On a brighter note the 18th floor pool area is quite nice and the location is very good.
Stayed. 18th and 19th February 2019. Why. Previous positive posts, location close to cruise port terminal. Uber fare from cruise terminal $9.20. Right by College Bayside mono rail station. ( free ). Fully support previous positive reviews. We arrived early 8am was able to checkin and leave our suitcases then visit Miami. Busy day exploring and returned to hotel. Very nice good size swimming pool on level 18 so able to swim some laps. This place appears to be set up for living in. Gym, spa, dog excercise area...... home away from home. When you stay as a short term guest no pets. Fully setup for apartment living. Full stove, microwave, full size fridge/freezer, coffee maker, washing machine, drier, 42cm TV,dish washer, record player. King size bed. Air Conditioned. Balcony Would we stay again. YES. And recommend to others. If one is sound sensitive. Pack some ear plugs as you may hear the mono rail, but we were directly above it and had no concerns.
Excellent location, right next to the metro mover and just 25 yards from McDonalds if you like a quick breakfast. Short walk also to Bayside and the stadium. Part of a modern and new high rise condo with the first 6 floors as a hotel complex. Hotel clients have full access to the Pool/Gym and other tenants recreational facilities. The apartments are very spacious most have two beds/two baths with excellent views. Could not fault the hotel in any way. Checking in was a bit slow because of the need to verify identities etc. We would highly recommend this hotel.
I was unfamiliar with the Guild brand before my recent stay, but came away singing their praises after my three night stay. The building is just a few blocks from the bayside pavilions area and the America Airlines Arena. The room rates were ultra competitive and the building boasts an infinity pool and the largest fitness center I’ve seen in a hotel. The staff goes out of their way to immediately address any concerns and / or questions. The rooms feature full kitchens (with dishwashers) and even in-room washers and dryers. I highly recommend the facility, and I’m already reserved to stay again on my next trip to Miami in the Spring.
I don't know why anyone is complaining about the staff. Everyone of them that I dealt with (whether through text or in person) was super helpful and very friendly. I would recommend asking for an interior room unless you don't mind sleeping with earplugs because of the sound of the MetroMover train (I stayed in unit 611). Other than the train - I LOVE THIS PLACE! It's like having your own studio apartment with a complete kitchen and even a washer & dryer in the unit. Brilliant! And they even provided the laundry pods! There is a coffee bar in the lobby and a small restaurant/bar. They also provided gourmet coffee in the room with all the kitchen items you'll need including a blender, toaster, etc. The fitness and business center is beautiful too. They even have a theater for you & the family to watch movies and relax in. Add to that the foosball and ping pong tables, the beautiful pool & hot tub. IThe owners thought of everything when they put this hotel together. It is conveniently located one block off Biscayne Blvd, across the street from the Bayside Market & a short walk to the American Airlines Stadium. Plenty of shopping and food places to explore. I chose this hotel because it was close to the cruise terminals. You cannot walk to the terminals from here (terminals are accessible by highway only) but it is just a quick cab ride away. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone - ask for an interior room for a quiet night.
This was a very modern and pleasant hotel to stay in. At first was a weary when was dropped off however the hotel was beautiful and the staff were so helpful. The rooms were nice and roomy and the beds were super comfy.
We stayed in the Guild in Miami for two nights. There were five adults in the two bedroom apartment. The room was very spacious. The kitchen contained ample items to allow us to eat breakfast and lunch in the apartment. The bedrooms and baths were functional. There is a Metro-Mover station close by. The Bayside Market is one half block away. There were washing/drying machines in the room. There is a small bar area that had spirits and snacks. Hope to return there again.
