I can tell that the staff works hard to keep a clean environment, however, I did come across a cockroach in the bathroom. I was also troubled by not being able to fully close the bathroom window because it was broken, at night the temperature dropped to 30 degrees and I was freezing. I tried to turn on the heat and then the room began to small of something burning, so immediately I turned it off. My stay was ok, but could have been better.

I came into my room and the tv remote wasn't the right remote,the room dont have a microwave and no house keeping ever came so i took my own garbage down daily..the room i had with the private balcony/deck was really small..also my 1st night j asked them for a ice bucket and had to keep asking

We stay at maxine's restaurant building side, we notice the carpet dirty and bad smelling, the elevator too small and disgusting,that place was noise as well, need a total renovation. We will never comeback there. Sorry!!!

This has been the worst experience ever and the worst double room imaginable: extremely small for two people, and seems improvised at the last minute. The bed was broken, and the floor was damaged and unsafe, which is especially dangerous for people’s safety, particularly seniors. The hotel and the rooms are dirty. There is no safe and no microwave, despite what is stated on the website. There is also no clear information: we were given only a black-and-white flyer with minimal details about check-in, check-out, and the Wi-Fi password, which is not secure at all. The staff is unkind and impolite, and some of them do not speak English at all. They struggle to answer properly and keep repeating the same information like robots, especially when we request a service they clearly do not want to provide, probably because of management instructions. They claim that rooms are cleaned every three days — unbelievable — but in reality, the room was never properly cleaned during our six-day stay. They only replaced the towels. That was their idea of “cleaning.” There was no bathroom mat for the shower, and the floor was very greasy and slippery. We were even given a dirty pack of tissues with a greasy package. During five nights of our stay, the floor and the bathroom were never cleaned. Very small space to store/hang clothes. It is UNACCEPTABLE that Expedia keeps recommending it to customers. Our stay was ruined as we never felt comfortable. we will send a formal claim regarding this.

Please please please trust me when I say DO NOT STAY HERE. Absolutely awful experience. Mold everywhere. Bugs even in the bed. So musty! Check photos for proof If you use a wheelchair, do not stay here! God help you. The managers suck and don’t care. Hope you’re reading this Diana! The wheelchair ramp was nearly 90°, and not a single employee cared enough to help. The valet stood two feet away and just stared while we struggled. Reception started off friendly, then quickly turned rude and dismissive, except for Barbi, who was the only bright spot and genuinely kind. They left the floors wet and my mom nearly slipped and fell. Workers said “they’re working on it” Somebody get OSHA and the health board here. The carpets smelled like every dog in Miami has peed on them. Our room didn’t even have towels; we had to hunt down housekeeping, and they barely handed us two bath towels, no hand towels, no face towels. Need anymore? The only response is “no towels no towels no towels” what kind of hotel is this? And all of this after waiting 6 hours for a 4:00 PM check-in. Unacceptable.

We were putting a different hotel, we made reservations for the Catalina, but they put us in a cat fleet hotel, what a joke what a disgusting joke, pathetic, these people need to have the property condemned, for the price of money we paid, what a joke and I want a refund

I give it a four out of 10 because the toilet was not properly working the fridge. It was a very small wonky fridge, and the staff was a bit rude with the exception of the bartender Marco at the other building and the staff who helped me and she actually took me upstairs other than that it was a terrible experience and as a woman I wasn’t able to use the bathroom that was terrible.

they own the property next door which i did see when i booked but i booked Catalina specifically but they put me next door. Also the front desk attendant was not there when we came to check in. 15 mins later he came strolling down the street. After finally getting checked in he wrote our room number on the room card sleeve and it was barely ledgible and i walked into the wrong room with a drunk couple knocked out (they didnt shut the door all the way). i went back and he was gone from the desk again and now there were several people waiting. while i waited i figured out what our room number was and went back. the rooftop was under construction also. the mexican restaurant downstairs was decent but i probably wont stay here again.

Poor service. Room conditions were sub optimal - intermittently working AC, no WiFi, Toilet had bad sewer smells. No Coffee machine or phoone in the room. Loud bass noises from the bar vibrated into the walls.
